Our family has enjoyed Dauphin Island for years. We decided to build several years ago and have enjoyed our time on this island more than words can say. We have made so many wonderful family memories and would like to offer other families the opportunity to do the same. It is a beautiful, serene getaway island only 30 minutes from Mobile, AL. Our home has beautiful views of the Gulf and the Mississippi Sound; You can start your day by waking up to a beautiful sunrise from your deck while enjoying a cup of coffee. Watch dolphins play in Lafitte Bay right from your front porch. Take a short walk to the beach or enjoy swimming, fishing or kayaking in Lafitte Bay which is right next door.
The home has three bedrooms, two baths, and an outdoor shower. The Master Suite has a king size bed with an adjoining bath which boasts a jacuzzi tub and separate shower, the second bedroom has a queen and third bedroom has a bunk bed (single over full) and a single bed; Sleeps 8; All linens and towels are included.
Kitchen is fully stocked; There is a charcoal Grill provided to grill fresh seafood from Skinner's or catch your own.
Enjoy strolling on the beach or take advantage of bike path that runs the length of the island. It's great for biking, jogging or walking!

Dauphin Island has something to offer for everyone: Deep Sea fishing, swimming, biking, bird watching, or just relaxing on the beach. Plus we are called the Sunset Capital of Alabama - for our breathtaking sunsets.

Great experience overall

To begin with, this host was very easy to work with and responsive to emails and texts. The property was just as described and was very spacious for our family of five. The porch was a great place to relax and read a book, while the seating and dining areas under the house were perfect for grilling out. We hope to visit again in the future.

Felt like a home

Beautiful views. Could walk to the beach. House had everything you'd need. We stayed with my two kids 6 and 4. The 4 year old said he wanted this to be our new house.

Such a Perfect Stay!

I have been trying to find the words to describe what a special stay my family and I had at this home, so here goes! The home was exactly as described, clean, welcoming, with special touches to show how much the owners care for this space. It is a lovely neighborhood, 5 minutes to everything, including walking to the beach. Great WiFi, A/C, hot water, appliances, beds, etc. We were so pleased to be able to bring our four-legged buddy, Felix! We can't wait to come back. Thank you.

Great place

It was our first visit to Daulphin Island, we will be back! We enjoyed this rental unit and the island very much. The unit was very clean! The only minor complaint I would have is the limited tv options but we enjoyed our stay very much!

So Perfect!!!

Our stay at this beautiful beach home was just perfect! The location is so convenient. I appreciated hosts who allow us to bring our 4-legged babies to the beach. The house was so comfortable and cozy. My husband, sister and bro-in-law had a wonderful time and can't wait to return.

Amazing location

Amazing location and the house was fully stocked with items we normally have to get at other condos. The kayaks and the bay in the back yard was very convenient for teaching the grandchildren to kayak.. very quit neighborhood.. Waterview on all sides of the house ,bay, Mississippi sound and the gulf. The host provides parking passes so you can park at the beach at several locations, however we walked a little over a quarter mile from the house down the path to a very private and secluded beach on the gulf with lots of wildlife to be found.

Shangra La, Home Away From Home

My family and I were very comfortable in your wonderful island home. It was so nice to bring my Yorkie with me. She loved playing on the porch. We all loved the outdoor areas as well as the inside. The rental experience was very nice. It was good to know if we had any problems, we could call or text. This was our first stay on the island, but it won’t be our last.

Great House and Location

We had a great time! The house was spacious and stocked well. It looks very neat when it’s all lit up at night. The owner was very responsive when we had questions. Loved that the house came with beach parking passes too! We will be back.

Family vacation

Great home for our family vacation! The large open living space and all of the outdoor spaces were perfect. Loved the space under the deck. We swam and kayaked in the bay behind the deck when we weren’t at the beach.

Nice family vacation rental

House was well equipped. Nice location for active family. There is a small park next to the house to acess the bay. Kids enjoyed playing on the small beach in the bay when it was too windy to enjoy the gulf beach. Kids caught lots of croaker and white trout in bay from shore and from the kayaks. House came with a parking pass but we accessed the gulf beach on foot via a five minute walk from the house. This section of the beach is pretty void of houses and condos right on the water so stays pretty quiet. House had 3 boogie boards and sand toys that kept the kids busy on the beach. We were also successful surf fishing this stretch of beach. Location was great for a family like ours.

Spring Vacation

Love the house, everything was just great. One suggestion if TVs could be placed in other two bedrooms. I will definitely be staying there again. Close walk/drive to the Beach. Love the Beach House and everything you could need in the kitchen was provided, along with Beach Towels, Kayaks and more.

Much needed relaxation

My family decided to take sometime away for Labor Day weekend but we didn't want to be in a very crowded area. We had stayed on Dauphin Island once before and thought a return would be the best idea and boy were we right. My daughter has asked me to bookmark this rental as it was perfect for our family. We loved the downstairs area as well as the easy access to the bay. The view from the deck was wonderful and just what we needed. We will return to Dauphin Island and when we do this is were we want to stay.

First time to Dauphin Island- we'll be back!

Easy to find, great location, beautifully decorated and homey. Well stocked with towels, toilet paper and kitchen wares. Very Very comfortable- from the beds, to the couches to the hammocks - super comfy! Love the personal touches throughout the entire house. The space under the porch is where I spent my evenings reading. Cannot wait to go back and bring my hubs and kids- (this was a girl's trip!) Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful!

Perfect weekend getaway!

This is a lovely, inviting home with great amenities. My family and I were greeted to a very clean, cool (important, especially in August) home. It had all of the comforts of home. All we had to do was bring food. We were pleasantly surprised. The pictures on the internet do not do this home justice. We loved all of the outside sitting options. From the colorful Adirondack chairs to the lovely wicker set downstairs. We spent the majority of the time downstairs sitting area enjoying the cool breeze. We were able to go kayaking for the home provided 4 kayaks with life jackets. This was a huge plus! We were maybe 20 or so yards from the bay and a short walk to the beach. This was the ideal home and location for my family. We will definitely be staying here again! Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your home!

Wonderful vacation spot!

Our family of 5 stayed at the house for 4 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The beach is close and was not busy at all. Water was beautiful. Other people on the beach were friendly. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed for the amount of time we stayed there. The deck was nice to sit on with the family and enjoy the nice breeze from the ocean. The sunrise was beautiful from the deck as well. We will definitely stay at this house when we come back to the island!
