The Space:

This newly built Rockaway Beach getaway is just the place for your family's next retreat to the Oregon Coast! Upon entering this home, you will be greeted by the open layout and airy ambiance that is created by the flow of the living area, dining room, and kitchen. No one will be left out during this trip, as even the chef of the group can be a part of the conversation while whipping up a tasty meal on the modern appliances of the full kitchen. Spend foggy mornings walking along the cool sand with a cup of coffee in hand and search for shells. After a day of lounging near the water and exploring the town, turn on the gas fireplace and cozy up on the large sectional for a movie night on the flatscreen TV. Don't forget to bring the dog along too, as this home is dog-friendly!



What's nearby:

This house has a great location just east of the famous Twin Rocks. Head out the back door and head out to the beach where you will find long stretches of sand to explore in either direction along with a view of Twin Rocks. There are numerous dining options along the coast and plenty of shops to explore downtown. Catch a ride on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railroad for a quick trip down to the fishing village of Garibaldi five miles south. For a bit of adventure, head over to Rockaway Big Tree and walk along the pathways of the lush landscape nearby.

At first look I was disappointed that there was a large house between the rental and the ocean view. The house is large with great bedrooms and bathrooms. The living room doesn’t look like the picture. The furniture is not as nice and there’s less of it. There were no rugs in the living room and with the concrete floor it didn’t feel welcoming. The kitchen could use more thorough cleaning, more towels andbetter organization. The carpet runners downstairs were all stained/dirty. The beds were all comfortable with good mattresses but the linens and towels are very worn. I understand it’s a dog friendly house so it’s hard to keep pristine but for the price we expected more care focused on cleaningcomfort. The beach access is close and an easy walk. The neighborhood is very walkable and quiet.

Home was beautiful. But was not cleaned prior to check in. No rugs in the living room. Blood stains on master bed set. For the price was expecting it to be clean. Everything else was okay. Large kitchen and bathrooms. Bunk beds were falling apart.

Overall the house was very nice and clean. The location was good - short walk to the beach. Would stay here again! Although we were a bit disappointed in the differences in pictures. The couch was a different smaller couch than the sectional in the photo and the carpets were gone. There has also been a very large house built on the other side of this house since these photos were taken - you cant see the rocks from the bedroom window nor walk up that way to the beach.

Very nice large home. Close walk to beach. The upstairs bedrooms/baths were very nice and clean. All beds were comfy. Beautiful kitchen. Had some problems with cleanliness of glasses and pots & pans in the cupboards. Also, dirty coffee pot with old grounds. We texted about the gas fireplace not working. Were told they would get back with us. No one contacted us.

Beautiful beach holiday for the entire family

This beach home is attractive, livable and pet friendly. There are lots of activities nearby to appeal to everyone, from kids to grandparents.

Two block walk from the beach, this house had plenty of room and a great location. Was very clean and worked great for us!

The house was a bit dingy which I guess made sense that it was dog friendly. The sink in the kitchen wouldn’t shut off and the bedding was sub par. We did however, love how close it was to the beach and check in and communication with the rental company was easy with quick responses. All in all, we enjoyed our time.

Spring break get away

Very dog friendly, easy walk to beach, open spacious floor plan, kitchen was a bit disorganized and dishwasher shelf was broken but overall a great space to gather for spring break

Fantastic trip

Our large family group were so pleased with the design of house, its cleanliness and charm. The neighbors were friendly and we had no problems at all. Great place.

DO NOT RENT THIS PROPERTY! THE PROPERTY IS GROSSLY MISREPRESENTED.There is NO ocean or beach front view and NO beach access. There is actually a house that was built 5 years ago between this rental and the ocean (see 7/2021 renter review) but have continued to misrepresent! Also, there is no sectional, it is a standard couch (see previous complaints by renters). The table chairs are not as represented and there are no floor mats in the living room or under table, which makes it much less comfortable on concrete floor. We were able to get a partial refund (their original offer was 100) but not nearly close to the premium paid for the amenities represented in the listing. DIRTY, DIRTY, DIRTY. When we arrived, it was immediately noticeable that the property was not properly cleaned. There was dust, dirt and dog hair on the floors and ceiling fan. The comforter in the main bedroom was stained (see previously complaints by renters) and a bloody Kleenex visible under the bed. The floor mats were disgustingly stained and dirty. We did get the cleaning fee returned but the property management company promised to send someone out to clean and the cleaners never showed up. The beds were not comfortable. Also, they don't tell you until checkin that there is an easement to the house between rental and ocean so there are cars driving literally along the front porch and there is no yard. I had three separate conversations with VRBO and there was not a lot they could do to help us.

Great Stay

The property was exactly as described, nice and clean, and had plenty of everything we needed. The kitchen was well stocked and there were lots and lots of clean towels and washcloths. Lots of space for our group of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids), and very close to the beach with the Twin Rocks right behind the house. No beach view sadly, but still a great place to stay. We really enjoyed it!

The size of the house is fantastic for the price and the location to the beach is a very short walk. The kitchen was minimally stocked but we were able to make due. Plenty of pots and pans but we were glad we brought a nice knife. There are some basic spices but we couldn't find any salt and pepper. There also isn't a lot of sitting furniture so if you have a large group you'll need to use the dining table for seats. The bedrooms were great just know the room with 2 twins is pretty narrow and smaller than it looks in the photo. The host was very responsive which was great though I wasn't sure if i was getting AI responses or an actual human. The style of language would change. We were gonna be at the beach early and we had 4 kids with our party which makes a 10am check out really challenging and takes extra planning and preparing the day before, so i asked if it was possible to have an early check in and late check out. I didn't expect it at all but the host responded as of it was pretty likely in a very gracious way so i got a little excited. Then when i followed up i got a generic response that an early check in was not possible as if i had not asked on the first place. Then later a response that a late checkout was not possible either. Again I knew it was unlikely but the communication around it left me feeling a little confused. I think the house is managed by a company so it just felt less personal. Overall though it is a great and affordable house!

Family Gathering

Great location, easy access to the beach around the corner. Could use a little better cookware (griddle, etc) and larger kitchen garbage can. Otherwise, beautiful home, very roomy and perfect for our needs. Would stay again and recommend this to families.

My husband and I treated our daughters, their hubbys and our grands to a week at the beach, The house was the perfect size for the littles to run around and for everyone to have their space. Easy walk to the beach. Loved it!
