An amazing cabin with an amazing view. We recommend booking this cabin if available as it has one of the highest repeat visitor rates of all cabins given it's special location and special features. The View features 3 suites, private home theater room with leather reclining theater seating and a 9 foot theater screen. Other amenities include a pool table, air hockey, arcade game system with golden tee, gas grill, 2 Jacuzzi tubs, hot tub and luxury furniture. Fee wireless high speed internet. Free local and long distance.

Free WIFI, a washer / dryer, iron and ironing board, and paved parking are included for your convenience. All linens and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, soaps and detergents.

This cabin is professionally managed by Elk Springs Resort Cabin Rentals in Gatlinburg, TN. We provide concierge service as well as dispatched maintenance and housekeeping should you need assistance during your stay. Host requires the guest to sign a rental management agreement prior to allowing access to the unit. The agreement details our cancellation policy, terms and conditions. Must be 21 or older to reserve a cabin and person booking my be staying in the cabin.

We provide a starter supply of paper products, detergents and soaps and coffee filters. We do not supply shampoo, conditioner, body wash and there are not pantry items, spices, salt & pepper or coffee included - guests should bring these items.

We booked Elk Spings resort on a recommendation and its location being 10 min from Rocky Mountain Sports Complex. We come down annually for a football tournament and wanted to stay a few extra days to enjoy the ambiance. The View was just perfect!

Peaceful, but...

"The View" cabin is on an unpaved gravel road & there was no driveway (which made it difficult getting wheeled luggage to/from the cabin). The entire cabin is in need of a good deep cleaning/updating (LOTS of dust & spider webs, hair/trash on the floors, dingy showers, dirty light switches, filthy pool table, worn furniture, etc...). Maintenece had to be sent for 2 separate issues (ac & arcade game) & their service/promptness was great! The theater room was nice. Conveniently located to attractions & the local grocery store.

It accommodated our family well, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, etc. The couch in the living room was not so well, and it could not be used to sit on as the cushions sunk right down to the sleeper.There was a soiled pillowcase on my son's bed. When we looked down over the deck, there was so much garbage. markers, cans, old toys, etc. The deck needed to be cleaned up. To be marketed as the view, the last thing you want to see is garbage. The pool table was fun, but some sticks needed to be replaced; some didn't have a tip at the end. The movie room allowed only streaming from Netflix or a Firestick, no streaming from our phones, etc. Very limited there. It was a better option than a hotel, but I'm not sure we would stay there again. It was a shame we didn't have a couch to accommodate our family.

Good, but not great

With a name like “The View” I expected to have a view, one of my must haves when choosing a cabin in Gatlinburg. Maybe when the trees are bare you can see the mountains, but otherwise it’s just woods. We also didn’t sleep well at all. The master mattress is extremely hard and the room above where 2 of my kids stayed, you could hear every move they made and every word they said. So in the middle of the night when they got up to use the bathroom, we heard every foot step, the toilet lid open/close, and the toilet flush, followed by every step back to bed and then them getting settled again. With 2 teenage girls who stay up way later than we do generally, not a lot of sleep was had for us.

Paid a lot of money for what I did not get in return, arcade, and air hockey was not as pictured, tub upstairs leaked all over the floor and through the ceiling, they did manage to fix it the afternoon before we left, curtains were screwed to the door, not something you pay big money to stay at, check in was late, I feel I got ripped off big time!!!!

Beautiful with a hiccups

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I arrived at 3pm but had received a text saying the cabin wasn’t ready at my time, so I had to drive to a shopping area to kill time. Then I recorded another text saying the cabin was still not ready at another different time. I drove 8 1/2 hours to wait another two hours just to get in. It was beautiful but the arcade game didn’t work when I arrived on top of all that waiting. Called for maintenance and still had to wait until the next day with no working game and kids. Maintenance texted a time they would be arriving but arrived late because I had to call again. When he came he was the nicest person, he did ask me if I need anything else, he was very helpful. I had booked through Elksprings before and stayed in the swimming in paradise with no problem. I was a little disappointed this time but it was still a beautiful cabin and nice trip.

A review of The View

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin and its amenities were accurately described but the property description was not. We loved the spacious cabin and a member of the team called to check on us which was thoughtful. But the description taken from the website was not accurate: "The name speaks for itself! Enjoy breathtaking views of the Smoky Mountains from the great room and deck from this special cabin rental!" and "Arguably the best 3 bedroom cabin view in the resort". I choose a cabin based on several things, one being the view of the mountains. There is a tiny peak of one mountain top while sitting on one rocking chair on the deck but other than that, the view was all trees. Please consider changing the name of the cabin or change the description. We have stayed in three other Elk Springs cabins and they all had better views of the mountains than The View did. A couple other things to note: the grill needs replaced or cleaned, we did not use it. The deck needs a good cleaning. The main floor bedroom mattress needs replaced. The living room furniture is not leather as described.

Reviewer Comments: Me and my family loved the Cabin was very beautiful was easy to find and get too kids loved the pool table and air hockey table the arcade machine was cool but the kids couldn't get into the old games then been on the high quality games to long lol only problems I had was the bed downstairs could be alittle more comfortable and the reason I rented this cabin was for me and my family to enjoy movie night in the theater room after along day of sight seeing and enjoying the mountains I brought my fire stick but couldn't hardly search titles and when you watch something you can't see the hole movie some of it is on the wall it's not center with the screen and there is no surround sound like in a theater only one speaker in the front has all inputs on the walls around the room where speakers suppose to go but no speakers so was very disappointed I let maintenence so they came out and said that the hole projector would have to be moved down and repositioned to the beam etc to be centered with the screen.

We have visited this cabin six times over the past twelve years and always found it spotless, This year, the floors and rugs had not been vacuumed, and we had to clean up a bit before we felt comfortable. Elk Springs Resort - The View

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived, the cabin wasn't ready. That's understandable, so we drove into Gatlinburg to kill time. Within ten minutes, we saw our first bear. We drove back to the cabin and within two hours, saw two more bears. We were off to an incredible start or were we. There was used bar soap left in the restrooms and dirty towels left in the bathtubs. An employee quickly offered to send the cleaning crew back out, but it wasn't needed. We took care of it. We were finally able to begin our peaceful vacation. Unfortunately, that peace ended quickly. There was a new cabin being built approximately 30-35 yards from our cabin door. Construction took place from 8:30 to 6:30 daily. Hammering, nail guns, a boom lift beeping throughout the day, dropped lumber, etc. took over the offered and advertised "quiet mountain setting". I complained on Wednesday and the ESR associate seemed surprised about the construction. She forwarded our concerns to management and stated that she would call back. She followed up rather quickly and said that nothing could be done. She also stated that she informed management that the construction should be posted on the ESR website so customers or potential customers could be aware. For ten hours each day, our stay at the cabin was miserable. For 42 percent of each day, we couldn't enjoy quiet time in the cabin or outside on the balcony. I requested multiple times for management to call me. As of this review, they still haven't called. My communication was with an ESR employee via text messages. The final compensation offer was 15 percent. The cabin was booked months ago, so ESR had an opportunity to warn us of the construction prior to arrival. They simply chose not to. Operate with integrity. This was our second visit to this particular cabin. Overall, the cabin itself was nice. The water pressure wasn't as good as our previous visit, but it was tolerable. Our Wonderful Elk Springs Vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: What a Great Experience!The Cabin was awesome really enjoyed the spacious rooms everything was clean, the Theater room was my favorite!The staff was Awesome! Can't wait to plan our Next Vacation!
