Palm trees swaying overhead, beautiful bougainvillea and other tropical flora are all yours in this large, 750 sqft, airy, one-bedroom cottage apartment. Main bedroom has queen bed, full bathroom, washer and dryer and big bedroom closet. Living room with a queen futon for extra sleeping space, new vinyl flooring throughout.

Full kitchen with dishwasher, new full stove and new large refrigerator, food pantry, coffeemaker, microwave. Sunny and breezy yet cooled by brand new split-air system. Lots of windows and natural light in all rooms. WIFI and smart TV with Roku and Streaming TV. Outdoor patio with table for eating and gas-grill plus a sun-deck.

Quiet Kailua upscale neighborhood. 13 minute walk to Castles Beach. 8-minute drive to Kailua Beach Park. 9-minute drive to Kailua Town Center. Kailua town is known for its boutique shops, great restaurants and artistic community.

Soak in the sun and barbecue on your wrap-around deck. Savor morning moments before you hit the beach.

Living Space:
A full living room with a sleeper-sofa for two, a Smart TV with Roku and Streaming TV, dinette area just steps from the tropical gardens, and a full-kitchen complete with dishwasher, range/oven, refrigerator/freezer.

The bedroom has a private bath, a queen-size bed, and split air. PLUS your own private full-size washer and dryer.

A little island of tranquility

Carol was an amazing hostess. Helpful any time we needed it. Very restful, quiet apartment, except for occasional intrusions by the neighbor's dog. LOVE the location. The apartment has most of what we needed for a long-term stay. Some of the fixtures could use updating, like the kitchen and bathtub faucets, but they worked. We loved waking to the birds in the morning, and we had wonderful weather, but it was nice to have A/C when we needed it. The WIFI is super fast. And the Roku TV was easy to use. Great for a single or a couple!

So many new things!

Nov 18 - Dec 18: Carol & John: We came back, as promised. What we didn't know was all the upgrades you had made since our last visit here in 2019, and the transformation was a complete surprise to us. Wow, the renovated place looks great! So many new things---furniture, artwork, floors, oven/stove, frig, washer, dryer, cutlery, kitchen tools, bedding, towels, inflatable spare bed. I could go on and on. Wendy, you've done an amazing job here. We opted not to use the new whisper-quiet air-conditioning units at all, but they must be nice when the weather is hot in the summer. As always, this is a nice, secure, quiet place to call "home" when we are in Kailua. See you next time. Many thanks from the Kelly family, Vancouver, Canada.

Well located, lovely neighbourhood, well kept, cozy back patio. Good bed . Lots of recent updating in interior. Good comfortable furniture. Excellent kitchen. Enjoyed our stay.

Nice place, descent location!

Nice place, clean and a convenient location. Needs a little updating based upon price. I missed my occasional cigar on the porch, due to rule of no smoking on the entire property. Nice renters and very helpful.

Great place

This was a great place!! Clean, quiet and perfect for a lovely Hawaiian great away! It was wonderful and the owner’s were prompt to respond and get things fixed when we noticed a plumbing leak in the bathroom. We liked this place so much we would want to keep it to yourselves so it doesn’t get booked up!

Nice place !

Very happy with this stay, perfect place for a couple. Off street parking, pretty quiet neighborhood, nice house, equipped well for easy cooking if you don’t want to eat out every meal.

The quiet side of the island

The property was in a nice neighborhood with proximity to the beach a short drive away. Parking was very convenient and the outside garden was a lovely place to sit and eat or just enjoy coffee. This town is where my husband lived with his family for some years and it was a pleasure to be here again.

Peaceful Getaway

Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Walking distance to the beach and groceries. Air conditioning unit in the bedroom and the rest of the house has windows that open for a cross breeze. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming and also super helpful when we had questions! If you’re looking for a quiet residential area for your VRBO, this place is perfect.

Breezy stay in Kailua!

Carol was great about being available by phone, answering questions, giving us directions and assisting us with whatever we needed! We had a great stay! The place was quiet and secure. We loved the covered lanai amid all the tropical plants and trees, nice for enjoying coffee in the morning or dinner at night.

Ideal location

This property is the perfect location for enjoying Oahu outside of the tourist fray. The beach is a 10 minute walk. The apartment is private and relaxing. We enjoyed the covered patio and spent a lot of mornings and evenings out there, even though it was raining.

Lifesaver - Great Stay

Carol was a true lifesaver as we landed in Hawaii in a really terrible accomodation, and she was quickly able to accomodate us. She was responsive and communicated effectively. We loved staying with them.

閑静な住宅街

とても閑静で、高級住宅街の中にあるようでした。カイルアタウンには66番のバスで10分ほどでバス停からは近いので、バスの時間さえチェックしていれば、不都合はなく、何より地元に住んでいるような感覚を体験できます。さらに、近くには小さな地元のスーパーがあります。オーナーのキャロルもすごく丁寧な方で、とても気持ちの良く滞在させていただきました。

Worn but comfortably homey.

Good neighbourhood, quiet, lots of birdsong and almost no distant traffic noise. We could hear the surf from three blocks away. We felt safe and well-rested after our month. The owner was easy to talk to, and well-informed about local things. The location was readily accessible to any activities we were interested in---longboard surfing was 2 minutes by car, hiking 10 minutes, shopping in town was also very quick. It looks like the photos. & we hope to come again some time. -Mark & family, Vancouver, Canada.

Our Hosts Anticipated our Every Need

This is a spacious and immaculate place. Our hosts were accommodating in every way to make our vacation just what we had hoped. Our only suggestions--how about adding two 'fluffy' new pillows on the bed? And mattress may need a boost soon.

Wundervoller Hawaii-Urlaub

Kailua auf Oahu ist ein wundervoller Ort um Urlaub auf Hawaii zu machen. Die Insel läßt sich von hieraus super gut erkunden, die Hauptstadt Honolulu ist in 20 Minuten erreichbar. Der Kailua Beach Park als bester Strand 2019 in Amerika ausgelobt hält was er verspricht. Entspannung in einer traumhaften Umgebung. Die Unterkunft liegt in einen ruhigen Wohngebiet und man ist mit dem Auto in 8 Minuten am Traumstrand. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und die Wohnung ist für zwei Personen ausreichend groß. Eine Modernisierung der Küche, nebst Inventar und Terrassenmöbel sollte die nächste Zeit mal eingeplant werden. Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.

場所もよく静かで快適

場所もよく静かで快適、生活に必要なものも揃っているし、オーナーもフレンドリーで親切。ただ、蚊やハエがいるので、虫除けスプレーは必須。スプレーをすれば虫はほとんどいなくなるので、問題なし。近くにSafewayや持ち帰りのできるお店があるので、買い物や食事に便利。Guest Houseがある地域は閑静な住宅街で、治安も良いし夜も静か。カイルアのショッピング街まで車で10分くらい。パラソルや折りたたみイス、ビーチタオル、ボディボードなども揃っているし、庭にBBQグリルもあって便利。川の近くなので少し湿度が高いが、エアコンをつけなくても扇風機をつければ快適に過ごせるし、室内に干した洗濯物もよく乾く。Carolは親切で、質問にもすぐに答えてくれる。洗濯機、乾燥機は少し古いが、十分使える。部屋も清潔で、台所用品や生活用品も十分揃っている。Wi-Fiも快適につながる。

Very enjoyable quiet neighborhood getaway

My husband and I came to visit our daughter. We enjoyed lazy mornings on the patio and dinner and drinks there at night. Cooked on BBQ. Easy parking. We never stayed in Kailua before and the trade winds were great, so much so that it was cold sometimes on the beach! My daughter and I could walk, maybe 10-15 minutes, to the ocean and watch the sunrise on a quiet beach. Kailua town and beach were a treat also and 10-15 min. by car. Kailua Town has a Whole Foods, restaurants, coffee shops. Lots of surfers and kite surfers at beaches due to great winds. We never needed to bother our hosts once as everything was just perfect — very clean, and included a book with all the info we needed. We ate at Nico’s one night - very nice with local music (5 mins. away . You could walk). Also food market and small shopping center 1/2 mile. It really was perfect for us. Just FYI : be aware that there is only one bathroom and you have to walk through the bedroom to use. This could be awkward if you weren’t sharing with family. Thank you to our hosts!
