Beautiful Large Home With Beaches And Magnificent Views

Our home has three bedrooms that sleep 10 comfortably, four bathrooms, and an outdoor shower. The 500sqft primary bedroom on the lower level is wheelchair accessible although not necessarily ADA compliant. This bedroom has two queen beds, sofa, television, large barrier free shower, single sink, and water closet. The 700sqft primary bedroom on the upper level has one king and one queen bed, sofa and television. The bathroom has a jacuzzi tub and separate shower, two sinks, water closet and large walk in closet. The secondary bedroom on the upper level has a queen bed, television, bathroom with a bath/shower combo and a balcony that overlooks the river. The living room has cathedral ceilings, sofa, loveseats, club chairs, piano, television, dining table, and an impressive river rock propane fireplace that also burns firewood. Firewood is not provided by the hosts and can be purchased in town. The kitchen is large and open and has a propane range, dishwasher, and refrigerator with filtered ice and water. The laundry room is on the lower level and will have laundry supplies and is also where you can find beach towels and cleaning supplies as well as extra trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels etc. The deck off the kitchen gets the morning sun and has a dining table and umbrella, while the deck of the back of the house gets the evening sun and has patio furniture. Our property is located on the main fork of the Kaweah River which flows at varying levels year round unlike the north and south fork that may be dry in summer. The house sits above the river which can be accessed by walking or driving down the gravel road. We ask that guests enjoy the property west of the driveway and avoid the property east of the paved driveway. Depending on the time of year and snow pack, water levels can be high and require extreme caution for all, or low enough for all ages to get in and splash and play. Many visitors enjoy kayaking and river rafting into June while the level is high. We have furniture and sun sails set up at our favorite sandy spot on the river front but encourage guests to explore and find their own favorite spots. Two acres of flat meadow along the riverfront can be used for playing games and sports. The property owners also own the 13 acres of riverfront on the opposite side of the river, beginning directly across the river from our beach furniture and continuing east towards the park. Although the river is open to the public, the public is not allowed to trespass on private property to access the river. This means aside from an occasional rafter or kayaker, the riverfront should be very private. If you notice trespassers who have accessed our property from the highway or the opposite side of the river (from pink house east) you can inform them that they are trespassing or call the sheriff for assistance. This home is two miles west of the Ash entrance of the Sequoia National Park. The park can require snow chains to enter from fall to late spring. Chains can be purchased or rented in town or plan ahead and bring your own.
There are a few barn cats that live and work on the property. We also have bears that cross the property from fall to winter. Please be careful not to leave food outside or in your car, and make sure to keep the trash cans latched at all times. When the weather is hot, please be cautious of rattlesnakes. Although rare, we do see one or two every summer. If you find a rattlesnake on the property, please notify us so we can remove it.
Trash cans are located next to the garage. Someone will be by every Thursday morning to collect the brown trash can, and every other Wednesday morning to collect the blue recycle can.
Check out is at 11am. You do not need to do laundry or make beds, but we do ask that the kitchen is tidy and the dishes are done or in the dishwasher, and that the kitchen trash has been put in the outside trash cans. If the outside cans are full, tie the trash bags and leave them in the laundry room. Please place the key back into the lock box.
