South End Avalon Beach Block, 3rd House From Beach, Large Pool, Ocean Views

"Villa Lil Avalon" is located on possibly the best beach block in Avalon, this vacation home ("Villa Lil Avalon") is the 3rd house from the beach. No need to cross any streets (great for kids). This beach is one of the more private beaches on the island. The home itself has been meticulously maintained. The ocean vistas from the home are sensational. With a pool measuring 16x32, you'll enjoy one of the largest pools in Avalon. Plenty of space surrounds the pool for lounging or bbq grilling. Inside the home your family will find expansive great rooms on both levels, two master bedrooms (one with beautiful ocean views), three other bedrooms, a library, two wetbars for entertaining, and a tiled sun room off of the pool. You'll enjoy the southern exposed sundeck on the second floor overlooking the pool. There is easy access to a wonderful third floor deck that will provide you the most awesome beach, white-water and sunset views. All common areas have hardwood floors. The landscaping is lush and mature. Located at 60th & Dune Drive.

We have two other vacation rental homes in the area and they are also listed here on VRBO#890046 Jerseyshorevillas Villa Char and VRBO#1304588 Jerseyshorevillas Villa Raine.

We do weekly rentals going Saturday to Saturday between mid May and through September.

The owner, Tom McLaughlin, is the only person you speak with in order to rent the house. If you see this listing anywhere else or someone other than Tom McLaughlin is representing this home it is a fraud. eg. Craigslist.

Great home/experience

I stayed with family for a long Mothers Day weekend and 70th Birthday for my mother. We had children ranging from 13 yrs old to 9 months. The kids had a great time with pool and overall space of the home. The home met our needs and was perfect with multiple rooms to space everyone out. The room located in the back near pool was great for kids to watch movies! Beds were very comfortable!! Lovely home! Lastly the owner Tom was amazing during the entire process and very accommodating. Would rent again for sure!

Lovely Beach Home

You can’t get any better than a home so close to the beach that comes with a pool. It was perfect for our stay with four kids. The home is spacious and communication with the owner was easy and efficient. Don’t miss out on this one!

Great Location!

We just stayed at the property for one week with our family and had a wonderful time! Great location and access to beaches, right between Avalon and Stone Harbor! We enjoyed our stay and time at the home! Accommodations comfortable for vacationing families. Both of the master suites on the second floor.

Amazing Property

We had a fabulous stay at this property. The house was gorgeous, well stocked with supplies, clean, roomy, airy, and well air conditioned. A great house for a large family. The owner was very helpful when we had questions. The location was amazing and access to the beach was so easy. It was a wonderful week.

Excellent location

A comfortable and beautifully decorated home, just steps from the beach. We enjoyed the beautiful outdoor spaces of the decks and backyard with a pool. We were very satisfied with this choice.

Great Shore House!

Our stay at the house was absolutely wonderful! The house is very big and accommodating to multiple families. The upstairs is spacious and was a great place to relax and enjoy some great views from the deck! The "Crow's Nest" on the roof was spectacular. We watched 4 sunset's from up there while enjoying our cocktails. The pool was a perfect 85 degrees and we made it our routine to hang out there for several hours once we left the beach. There was plenty of seating around the pool with umbrellas. Even though we didn't use the grill, it was a great option to have available. The house is located in a quiet section of Avalon and really reminded us of being in OBX. There was ample refrigerator space to keep all of our beer cold. When renting we usually have to keep beer in coolers due to limited refrigerator space. We didn't have to use any of our 4 coolers we brought down. One small detail that we found to be beneficial is the amount of available beach chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, and bikes for use at the house. My recommendation would be to save space and leave your chairs, umbrellas, beach toys, and cooler (besides a small one for the beach) at home and use the ones provided. If you're also not stuck on having your own bicycle down there I would recommend saving the space and using the ones at the house. Tom was absolutely wonderful to work with. Due to his hospitality and our love of the house we will certainly rent from him again when we head back to Avalon!

Beautiful property, great location!

This house is beautiful and comfortable—was perfect for our all-ages family group. Owner was lovely to deal with, too. We especially enjoyed the pool and being so close to the beach! 60th Street is a perfect location, too—it’s quiet and residential but an easy bike ride to “downtown” Avalon or Stone Harbor. We’d rent again in a minute!

Beautiful Home and Perfect Location

We rented this home for the month of June in order to explore Avalon and Stone Harbor. It was the perfect experience. We had family and friends join us throughout the month. We especially enjoyed the pool area where we could cool off after the beach, barbacue and hang out. The upstairs space which included two master bedrooms and living area and deck looking out over the pool provided us with the perfect balance of privacy and sociability as our guests arrived and departed during the month. I cannot say enough about Tom's hospitality. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a comfortable and stress-free stay. The location is absolutely perfect, situated between the two town centers and only steps from the beach.

A wonderful Avalon vacation!

We picked this home in Avalon as a central meeting point for the members of our family. Little did we know just how perfect it was. Upon arrival, the house was nice and clean and ready for us. We immediately put our suits on and jumped in the pool that was calling our names. Like bath water. It was so nice to have a pool right outside our door. We found this to be the best part of the whole vacation. Don't get me wrong, we spent plenty of time on the beach, which was only a few steps away, but it was always nice to have the pool waiting for us. We grilled out each day which was easy and ate at the three tables with umbrellas for most meals. It was a special birthday for my husband and myself and our children surprised us with a photo shoot on the beach. It was perfect. My elderly parents even came for the day and got in the picture which was quite special. They were actually meeting one of their four great grand children for the first time. Such a special memory now. As far as the house goes, with the two living rooms, all the bedrooms/bathrooms, very large kitchen table, the many refrigerators and all the deck space, it was a wonderful gathering place for our family. Everything was there....beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach wagon to haul everything, bikes, cooler, plenty of seating around the pool, we couldn't have enjoyed it more. The owner, Tom, was so accommodating. He answered any questions we had and made sure it was going to be a great time. It sure was. I highly recommend this lovely home.

The House and the experience from looking to booking to actual vacation week was AWESOME!

Each year we take our grown kids and their spouse/significant person on vacation. This year with the addition of a 5 month old grandson we wanted something close to home with lots of room, a comfortable place to stay, a home away from home. This was perfect! The house and what it came equipped with was more than we hoped for - nice beach chairs - Yeh! Real comfortable mattresses - Yeh! A wine refrigerator and 2nd in the garage - Yeh! Lots of room yet cozy places to all spend time together. Thank you Tom and family for sharing your wonderful home. We will be back!

Amazing home for families!

In the words of our 3 year old son, "This house is so warm and cozy!" The owner was so helpful as we planned our trip and that continued during our stay. The layout of the house is amazing and allowed for us and our guests to never feel like we were on top of each other. So many different areas to hangout! VERY Clean which was important for my family - we have a 3 year old and a 3 month old! Convenience of close proximity to the beach was so nice. Easy to head back to the house for bathroom, lunch or pool breaks. Pool and entertaining space outside was so relaxing. We enjoyed Cocktails and appetizers on the deck in the evening as we took in the sunset. Loved riding bikes into Stone Harbor and Avalon! This house truly has it all (although we couldn't find the most important tool - a wine opener:)) and we have already inquired about a second stay in September. This house will be part of our family tradition for years to come! Thanks Tom!

The PERFECT Wedding Rental

My fiance & I were looking for a beautiful house in Avalon for us & our wedding party as we were getting married at the Avalon Yacht Club. This house by far was exactly what we were looking for. The pictures of the house on the site does not do this place justice, when we arrived our jaws dropped. We knew we chose the right one! As we walked into "our home" for the weekend our names were written on a chalkboard with a warm welcome. I felt like a little kid, my husband & I ran around the house to see it all, we were surprised with how BIG the house was! We were so excited for our bridal party to arrive & to start our wedding weekend. First floor: BIG living room space with couches, HUGE kitchen table, kitchen, sun room with seating, beautiful pool with 2 outside tables/ chairs, outside bar/ grill & shower, 3 bed rooms, one full bath, mud room with washer/ dryer & half bath. Second floor: HUGE living room space with couches, smaller kitchen table with bar area, 2 master suites with 2 full baths. The one master that we stayed in has a view of the ocean & balcony with beautiful french doors going into the bedroom & library (Great for wedding pictures of the bride) a huge balcony that over looks the pool area from the living room. What surprised us was the roof top balcony with views of the ocean & bay! WE HIGHLY recommend this beautiful, well kept/ clean home for any vaca stay but most importantly if you are looking for a house for your wedding weekend, this would be a perfect fit. The morning of the wedding we had the guys leave to go out for b.fast while the girls ate downstairs, when they returned my husband & guys got ready downstairs while girls were upstairs. It worked out perfectly b/c both floors had a living room space, baths & outside access. We stayed on our "assigned" floors b/c we didnt want to see eachother. It was perfect b/c our family & bridal party could be there while we both were getting ready & be able to see the both of us. We took so many beautiful pictures here inside & outside! The house made things easier for everyone & it was great to have everyone under the same roof! The morning after, we had a big pancake breakfast for family/ friends who all stayed in the area. I still have people talking about how great this house was, it feels like it was built for a wedding party! Tom was very nice & accommodating, one of the most pleasant landlords I ever dealt with. I wish we could do it all over again & we will be back for our anniversary!

Great home for families!

We had 2 families with 8 kids and 4 adults in this lovely home. The location to the beach and the backyard pool allowed us for plenty of on site fun. The dining table and common areas are huge and allow for great family gatherings. The updated aesthetics and meticulous upkeep of the home far exceeded our expectations. The owner is very generous with the use of the bikes, beach chairs and pool toys. We hope to visit this home again!

Beach Family Home

This is a perfect high end family home. Classy and comfortable. It was a perfect location for our family with easy access to both the beach and town. The pool was clean with multiple fun toys to entertain the kids. The owner provided bicycles for our use which was a huge bonus and money saver. The owner was also very available for any questions and called just to make sure we were happy with the home. Very good service. I would recommend this home and we hope to return one day!

Perfect Family Spot in Avalon!

We so enjoyed our stay at Tom's Avalon home! First of all, he was so nice and helpful and it was a pleasure renting from him. The house being so close to the beach, was perfect for our two families with young children. No worries about crossing busy streets! And the pool was key to our enjoyment. At first, we thought we might not need a pool but it was great as the kids wore themselves out at the beach, we could head back and all relax while they floated around on rafts. The house was immaculate and very comfortable. If you decide to rent this, make sure YOU get the master bedroom! The mattress was incredibly comfortable and I slept like you are supposed to sleep on vacation. We were also so happy to find bikes, tons of beach toys and beach chairs in the garage. The house is completely equipped (minus sheets!) with everything we needed. We can't wait to come back! Thanks again Tom!

Amazing Avalon Beach House

We highly reccomend this vacation house for your next trip. Whether it's with family or friends this house has all that you need plus the beautiful Avalon beach just steps away. We just spent the week of August 9th. there with our son and Grand mother and friends with their children and we had a blast. There is plenty of room and very comfortable bedrooms tastefully decorated. Our favorite parts were the decks, especially the top deck with the ocean view perfect for cocktail time. The pool is larger than expected with pool toys already there plus an outdoor shower. Also for older guest this house is very senior friendly with bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the first floor leading out to the pool. The owner was extremely helpful with any questions we asked. We will definitely be booking again for next year!
