Soundside Bungalow is a 1,300 square foot vacation home located on Cedar Island Beach. Over looking Pamlico Sound and next to the Cedar Island Ferry; Soundside Bungalow provides you with a quaint and secluded vacation spot away from the hustle and bustle of your everyday life.
Amenities include:
Full service kitchen with stainless steel appliances; gas range, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, plates, silverware, lots of pots and pans.
Laundry with full size washer and dryer and ironing board with iron.
320 square foot of front screened porch with picnic table, extra chairs, and porch swing

This property is amazing! House was super clean and perfectly set up for families. The screened in porch is perfect for late nights. The beach front is great for kids and fishing.

Property was convenient and access to the beach easy. Pet friendly is a real plus. A/C worked great. Would benefit if a ceiling fan is installed on the screened in porch for those real hot days. Needs: leftover containers, foil, Saran Wrap (we left ours there for the next travelers) and plastic bags for leftovers, tissues and paper towels. Would def stay there again.

I have been blessed to stay at many different VRBO properties, and I have to say this is the best. The location was amazing, and the property was beyond excellent. If you like a private, uncrowded beach in a clean, coastal cottage...this is it.

This was an excellent house for peace and quiet. Even though the ferry is right there, it's quieter than my neighborhood. The home was very well furnished. The kitchen had everything except a round pizza pan. I loved the layout of the kitchen. The island is a very helpful catch all for all things and a great prep station. The bedrooms are all very nice. We were down in the off season and we had no neighbors. That added to the peace and quiet. The screened in porch is why I rented this place. That and access to the water. Drinking coffee watching the sun come up and having a cocktail watching the moon come out were my favorite activities. We hope to be back to enjoy it again.

We spent most of our time on the screened in porch admiring geogous sunrises. This home is very comfy and the beach very nice.

We love this clean and very well supplied rental!!! We’re repeat visitors and hope to continue in the future. The layout is so nice and has a dream kitchen. Bringing all food/drinks when you come is highly recommended. It was our dog Tyrus’ first beach experience and he loved it!! We were able to bathe him with the outdoor shower and wrap in a towel before taking him inside to the screened porch to dry. I recommends UV shirt for dogs so as not to get burnt. I also had balm for his nose and pads. We didn’t use them but there are nice kennels below. Shaded and spacious. The hosts went above and beyond when I left some jewelry upon leaving. It was sent to me and I couldn’t be more relieved. Thank you for sharing your home and for your help.

The perfect private get away, we never want to leave. Secluded, quite, shallow waters. Perfect for kids and dogs. Big comfortable home away from home....but way better!

Beautiful extremely peacefully and comfortable,if you are looking for a place to reset at this is it.Host were great also..If you have small children this beach area is for you just dont forget the groceries. We had a wonderful time.
You don't have to leave the house to watch the sunrise every morning bit was beautiful!!!

Plenty of parking for multiple vehicles or trailer. The property was clean and had all the amenities you need for a relaxing beach vacation. The beach is smaller but you have it all to yourself. Fishing from land in the area is difficult, I'd recommend a charter or bring your boat. The ferry is right next to it so you can easily jump on to it and go to Okracoke. We enjoyed the solitude the property brings and slightly remote so less cell phones and more sand beneath your feet.

My wife and I love this place. Very clean, nicely stocked, very pet friendly, felt at home. Love the huge screened in porch and easy access to the beach from the porch. I enjoyed sitting on that deck in the morning drinking coffee watching the sun come up. The bedrooms are a nice size and beds are comfortable. The kitchen is stocked very well also. Hollie was great at answering any questions I had. Cedar Island and the Soundside Bungalow is the perfect place to get away from it all. Remote, secluded and non-crowded beaches seem to be the normal. The water is shallow so, perfect for small kids to play. We are already planning on bringing our grandkids next time. We hope to vacation there many more times and looking forward to another wonderful experience.
