The Main House - Lakefront, dog-friendly, private hot tub, pool table & balcony

This lovely lake home is located in the Mountain View Shores Community near the dam.

The generous bedrooms are beautifully decorated, with the primary bedroom and a guest room located on the main level. The fully equipped kitchen adjoins a sitting area with a sofa bed and opens into the dining/great room area. With its exposed ceiling beams, the great room offers comfortable furnishings for gathering together. The upper deck is accessed from the great room and is partially covered. Enter the screened porch from the kitchen, which has a dining table and chairs, plus a gas grill.

Hours of fun await in the game room/living area on the lower level, with a pool table and a TV. There are two additional bedrooms and an extra sleeping area with bunk beds on the lower level. Top off perfect vacation days in the hot tub, located outside on the lower level deck.

Dock Details: Limit 2 boats can be docked during stay.

The water level at the lake is low enough that the floating (lower) dock wasn’t easily accessible. We could dock a boat there but due to the short stair reach, older folks in our party couldn’t get from one deck to the other. We had to make other arrangements for pickup and drop off.The dock needs some work. Lights either came on and off when they felt like it or didn’t come on at all.For older folks, the hike from the house to the firepit and docks are doable but a challenge as far as balance and effort go.Enough bad. The house was nice, furnishings older but in fairly good shape (though the pool table was a little rough). Many more rooms than 8 people can use but that’s a good thing. Grill, fireplace were nice. Plenty of seating. 2 TVs was a good thing, we talked most of the week and did things Vs watching the tube! Our Grands had a blast! Swimming in the lake, snores, gametime, etc.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately with the historic low lake levels this season it has caused issues at the shorelines. This was outlined in the 14 day arrival expectations email we sent. We are glad to hear you were able to make alternate arrangements to still enjoy the lake. We appreciate your feedback.

Great property. Loved the dock. Bonus to have the hot tub. However, The house is not at all sound proof between levels.

The house was just as roomy as it was advertised. The views from the kitchen, Living room and deck were spectacular. The house was really clean and the kitchen was well stocked

Excellent rental!

We really enjoyed our stay and spaciousness of the house! The location was great to have some peace and quiet, but also get on on the water! It accommodated everyone in their party and we made a lot of memories.

Family Lake Trip

Great view of the lake. Bedrooms are spread out. Two large rooms to hangout in. Our family enjoyed the stay.

Home Away From Home

Stayed a entire week to enjoy the serenity and beauty of the Smith Mountain Lake, would have loved another week . This home was comfortable and had all the amenities. I would highly recommend this get away vacation home .

Graduation Celebration Week

The home was spacious and allowed for our large family to gather when we wanted and separate when we wanted to as well! The view was incredible and the location was terrific! A winery visit, hiking in the state park and lots of water activity made for a fun, interesting vacation.

What a great week

Really enjoyed the whole house, amazing views, the dock was very nice , I was able to fit my 2 jetskis very comfortably, plus a kayak, and floats! The hot tub also was great, it was clean, I really enjoyed the large shower in the bathroom. Looking forward to coming back in the future!

Beautiful Stay!

We had a wonderful long weekend here with 2 adults and 3 teens. The home itself is beautiful with wood beams throughout and ample space. The pool table and hot tub were great additions. We enjoyed the dock for fishing and enjoyed the fire pit. Location was great. Ample kitchen supplies. Wonderful weekend! We would love to return.

Loved the location on the lake. House is a bit outdated with some need for TLC and Vasaca did not respond to our request to fix hot tub, but overall, house was clean and our stay was enjoyable!

Nice, overall

Nice stay overall. Pool table is definitely well-worn and used-looking, but still fun. Dusty windows and ceiling fans and other areas, but deceivingly large property. Waterfront is a very nice bonus.

Great lakefront location in a quiet nook of the lake. Not a ton of boat traffic so hanging out by the water and swimming was great! Still easy access out to main part of the lake by boat with a spacious dock to secure a rental boat. There is a decent hill down to the water, not bad, but along the lines of you don't want to forget something from the house and have to run back up. The house itself was great, lots of room. One thing to note is that noise from upstairs travels easily downstairs. Overall we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!

Checkin to the house was easy. The house was exactly as listed. The views were amazing, the house was clean and plenty of wood for the fireplace. The house was perfect for our family to all stay together. Highly recommend.

Great getaway

House and location is lovely. We did not have any problems and were able to use all listed appliances, the hot tub, and the fireplace. The view is stunning and can be enjoyed from inside or either outdoor deck, but the hill down to the lake may be a little steep for people with mobility concerns or small children. We would definitely return to this home!
