Savor the old-world charms of Oak Bluffs Cottage, an ideally situated Martha's Vineyard getaway with a two-level porch to enjoy quiet island mornings and evenings! Take advantage of the provided beach chairs as you spend fun summer days in the sun and come home from the beach to prepare meals for the whole family in the full kitchen, or opt for an outdoor barbecue with the provided grill, the spacious yard, and the shaded deck. Don't worry about the heat, as there are new ductless mini-split air-conditioning units in the common areas and all three bedrooms. What's nearby: This home is conveniently located on the edge of downtown Oak Bluffs, just over half a mile west of the ferry terminal. You'll be within easy walking distance of great restaurants, a market, coffee shops, incredible seafood, and the historic Flying Horses Carousel. The home is also only three-quarters of a mile from Inkwell Beach, Oak Bluffs Town Beach, Ocean Park, and the marina. Things to know:

The location was great and house had everything we needed. Somewhat steep stairs to get the bedrooms but I think that is stands for the cape cottages. The bedrooms were a little small and if staying longer than 3 nights might have been more of an issue. (1 couple, 2 single adults). The BR with the balcony has a bathroom down the hallway and other 2 bedrooms had a jack/jill bathroom. Perfect 1/2 bath down stairs. Nice backyard with a patio we didn’t use but the outdoor shower was a nice touch. I would stay sgain

The cottage met our expectations and provides a good value for the money. My wife and I were a little unsure about the double beds but the mattresses were comfortable we slept just fine. The mini splits worked great to quickly cool the spaces and provides nice ambient noise for sleeping. The house was clean and the furniture in good condition. The house is in a quiet location with a 10 minute walk to core Oak Bluffs area restaurants/marina and 15 minutes to the beach area. We enjoyed the front porch the kitchen provided the basics and utensils to cook meals including lobster one night. The only minor complaint is the water quality is not to my taste so we bought jugs of water for drinking. Not the host fault but perhaps could install a water filter. And the freezer did not produce ice cubes though there was a few old school ice cube trays but perhaps this is related to the taste issue so making your own ice or buying is the best option. It was my first trip to Marthas Vineyard so I was most focused on exploring the island and this property provided my family with a good home base to rest.
