The cabin offers complete privacy and is 20 minutes from the lake so you can easily enjoy all of Deep Creek’s finest attractions.

15 acres of privacy and the coziest 2-bedroom cabin. There is so much to see when you visit the cabin! Some of our favorites are:

There are 2 trail cameras on the property. Both are motion activated for still shots. One points toward the shed and porch. The other points toward the beginning of the loop driveway. They are both visible on trees.

Very Secluded and communication was easy with the host. Plenty of things to do in the yard for our 4 year old. Deer everywhere in the yard.

The property was beautiful and the host was very responsive. The only concerns we had were: the TV did not work and housekeeping needs more attention as there was a dirty towel left behind the door and sanitary napkins in the trash can.

So glad you enjoyed your stay! We checked out the tv/ dvd player and there was a cable that had been pulled out some. We are so sorry it stopped working while you were watching a movie! Thank you again for the housekeeping feedback, we were able to discuss this with our service provider to make sure all future services are up to the standards we expect.

The cabin is beautiful, it was clean and tidy. The upstairs bedroom has 2 twin trundle beds. There is room for a family of 5-6 although the upstairs bedroom is cramped if your kids are older. The grounds are bucolic, with a trampoline and fire pit. There’s a small grill in the shed. The small porch is nice.The only issue we ran into is that the listing didn’t show there is no WiFi, so we didn’t learn that until we got the check-in email on the way. But it sounds like that was VRBO’s fault for not making it explicit. It’s not a bad way to disconnect!! But good to be aware since the cell service also can be spotty. Also there’s no cable. The TV only works with DVDs. They had a nice book of DVDs! FYI, the cabin is also a bit further away from the lake (16 min driving from downtown Oakland), so the drive to Funland for example is about 27 mins. And as the host describes, can be a bit hard to find especially at night (it’s easy to pass the driveway). Overall, I would just recommend some of the location of household items (controllers for equipment, fans/lights, under cabinet lights) be made clearer because we spent a fair amount of time looking for things/figuring things out. In addition if you want to use the washer/dryer there’s no detergent provided (from what we could see) so you’d need to bring some. But the hosts were nice and responsive when we had questions!

Great cabin in the woods. It was really peaceful and cozy, just like its name. The cabin was very clean and the owner was really nice. We appreciated the great communication as well!

It was actually farther from town that we wanted just make it harder to do stuff but we loved it. Wish there was air in the kitchen fan and air conditioning unit. It was too hot when we cooked inside and I didn’t like the fact you could not watch TV. We understand you couldn’t probably get TV there and the DVDs, but I wish I knew to bring my own TVs or would’ve brought what my kids wanna watch besides that it was really nice and I really liked it

We make an effort to stock our dvd collection to have something for everyone, young and old, and hope our cabin is used for unplugging and connecting as much as possible. The listing shows mileage to some local favorites we know guests enjoy.

The cabin was very clean and well stocked with essentials. It was a very peaceful location isolated from neighbors and I overall really enjoyed my stay here!
