We thoroughly enjoyed our stay for our friends birthday weekend. We especially enjoyed the upstairs sitting room with Pac-Man and the foosball table. Everything was clean and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the essentials. The beds were comfy and the surrounding woods were peaceful.

We absolutely loved our stay at the Chunky Bear !!! Thank you Kountry for being such a great and responsive host. I would recommend anyone to stay here. It was so quiet and peaceful. Cabin was very well kept clean and beautiful!! One of our favorites for sure. My one year old granddaughter and three year old granddaughter loved the bear that was in the cabin!! They just kept hugging it and smiling!

We lacked nothing and really enjoyed our stay. I was really impressed with the supply of kitchen items- it was very helpful for our dinners. We loved the hot tub and the secluded location. The host was communicative and helpful. We would definitely here again!

We had an amazing stay! From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless and exactly as described. The home was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with thoughtful amenities that made it feel comfortable and welcoming.What truly stood out was the host — incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful throughout our stay. House was a perfect ski cozy vibe. Was the perfect getaway rental. The hot tub was definitely a crowd favorite. The driveway was a bit icy so definitely make sure your car is able to handle that but other than that it was wonderful. Host was very responsive.

Cozy and welcoming home on a beautiful, private property. The game room was a big hit with the kids and there was plenty of space for gathering and relaxing together. The host was very responsive, and kind.A heads up for winter stays—4-wheel drive is necessity. We had about 5 inches of snow while there, which is no problem for the right vehicles. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you!

We had a terrific visit to the chunky bear! The cabin was true to the listing and the beds were very comfortable. The kids loved the bunk bed room. The host was responsive to messages. Fully equipped kitchen made it easy to cook there. We enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. We'd for sure stay there again!

Upon arrival property was unkept. Weeds growing through the patio high enough to be uncomfortable to even enter the hot tub and walk across to the fire pit. Cameras were pointing directly on the fire Pit where family privacy would have been nice. It was actually creepy. Within the first day, we found out the heat was not working. The fireplace upstairs was also out of commission. So for 3 days in a row, we had to have workers coming in and out to fix things which was completely invading our privacy. Kountry did act fast on the repairs but it took 3 of our 5 days of privacy to do so as we were trying to celebrate our anniversary. She did order space heaters which were supposed to be delivered the same night. But did not get there until the following day. There was some garbage around the property. There were broken solar lights and a window screen and sign just laying on the ground sloppily. There is a really nice hammock that is advertised in the ad, which turned out to have holes in it, And be completely rotted. The cleanliness of the cabin inside could have been better as there was lots of dust. The upstairs tv which is the nicest place to have a romantic evening &relax, would not work the entire time we were there. We had to watch a movie on the couch downstairs,Which, if you sit down too fast, youfeel like you're falling through. The host did offer,If we left the second day to refund the rest of our stay but not an option for us.no partial refund offered for our troubles

4th of July stay

Inside of property is immaculate and well kept. Very well stocked with anything we needed. Very close to marina for boat and close to restaurants and anything we needed. The private drive is a little rough but overall the property was great.

This was our first trip to Deep Creek Lake and we could not have found a better home for our family of four! This house is exactly how it was described and very, very clean. Loved the location! We were only a short drive to boat rentals, Wisp resort, restaurants, groceries and more. The kids loved the hot tub and fire pit for smores. Definitely recommend - 10 out of 10!

Amazing time!

We had an incredible time! Perfect location and cabin for a long weekend trip. Kountry was extremely accommodating and I would highly recommend staying here to anybody!
