Wonderful Times at Autumn Mist

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband & I have stayed at Autumn Mist about 10 times. It has an unbeatable location & is a beautiful home. I love the large window seats and spend a lot of time reading there. We had friends & family join us for this past stay. We wanted to share the beautiful property with our loved ones.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our first time staying at this lovely home. My wife and I have spent every anniversary in Sea Ranch for 38 years. Many beautiful homes but Autumn Mist is now a favorite and have already booked our next anniversary here. I think thats says it all.

Autumn mist glorious stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 days at Autumn Mist. It was extremely clean and well kept up. The kitchen was very high quality and had everything we needed. High quality cookware and dish ware. Short walk to the bluff trail and only a 2 mile walk to Gualala beach. We loved the Indian and Tibetan art. Great ocean views from the living room and bedroom. Hot tub was great as well. We definitely hope to come back.

Lovely Home, Great Location

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Autumn Mist from Oct 11-16, 2026. Fall is a beautiful time at Sea Ranch. Over the last 20+ years we have rented about as many vacation homes at Sea Ranch, and Autumn Mist checked all the boxes as far as location, views, comfort and amenities. It was obvious the renters took care to furnish and decorate the interior - it has a curated look that is not haphazard. The beds were very comfortable, and the heating system worked well to supply heat throughout the house. We were pleased to be able to park in the garage. The kitchen was well-supplied with cooking and serving ware. I would only have asked for a vacant cupboard to stash our dry goods. At the northern end of Sea Ranch, Autumn Mist is a short drive to grocery stores and shops in Gualala.The rental company was especially welcoming, and even had gourmet treats for our dog. I have no hesitation recommending Autumn Mist as a special Sea Ranch rental home.

Two Weeks of Waves

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Autumn Mist for the last two weeks of July. We needed a house that could accommodate two couples and two small dogs—and was on the ocean. This house suited us nicely. It was filled with books, art, Cds, and felt more like a friend's house on loan than a rental. The palette is brown, and there is an older feel to the place, but we found everything we needed in the drawers. The hot tub was salt water, which was lovely—no chemical scent. It was wonderful to be so close to the Bluff Trail and to see and hear the ocean all day and night. Also great to be close enough to Gualala to run in for a last dinner minute ingredient, and close enough to walk to Gualala State Park. Autumn Mist is in a close with two other houses, very close as another reviewer points out, but while we were there both houses were occupied and we never heard a sound. There was construction going on nearby which panicked me at first when I saw the trucks but it was fine, it didn't interfere at all. We saw lots of spouting whales, a deer and doe every morning, and a raccoon stopped by! We really enjoyed the different rec centers and pools, too. Everyone at Sea Ranch Escapes was helpful as always; we had one small problem and it was resolved immediately.

A Decade of Delights

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was the 10th year that we've been able to stay at Autumn Mist, and we could not have been more pleased. The home is in the perfect location overlooking the cliffs and the breaking waves, with plenty of visits by wildlife. Best of all, this home is pet-friendly; and we delight in being able to bring our dogs with us for this special vacation time. The owners keep the home in great shape, and it has all the features you need to make for a very memorable stay.
