St Thomas

The view was amazing. We ate at the new Sea Salt restaurant and it was the best seared tuna I have ever had The only negative was I didn’t realize the condo was on the third floor ( my fault, didn’t ask ) and getting luggage up was a b#*#h overall all , wonderful experience

Easy access

This location was perfect, we had easy access to the beach, to the taxis, the restaurant, and to the morning coffee shop. We had a group stay throughout the resort and the beach outside of our balcony became the place to stay! The unit itself was perfect- plenty of enough room for the six adults that stayed and although we did not cook, there would’ve been plenty of supplies to make that easy! I hope to return someday!

Perfect location and incredible stay!

My daughter (17) and I stayed for a week and we couldn't have been more pleased with the location and this property! Perfect stay right on the beach and 5 minute cab ride over to Red Hook and Ferry to St. John. Owner was attentive and answered all questions before, during and after our stay. Waking up to the beautiful views and being next to beach club bar was a plus for us (gets very lively on Sundays). Couldn't have been more pleased with our experience and we will be heading back and will pick to stay here again! One bedroom but the murphy bed is very comfortable downstairs so worked perfectly for us. Beach is beautiful / clean and welcoming (plenty of shaded areas for those that want to be out of sun). Sea Salt restaurant right on property was great option for nights we didn't want to go out. Loved everything about our stay here!

Disappointing stay.

The property was located at the stunning location of Sapphire Beach but we were severely disappointed in our overall experience due to the unfortunate discovery of a cockroach infestation which was widespread in the lower level of the condo. The property owner was quick to respond to the cockroach issue, but only offered to contact housekeeping in the morning and no alternative accommodations were offered, and there was no assistance once we said we were not comfortable staying, especially with our young daughter. Amazing get away

We arrived and got to the property no problem. Everything was as it was listed. Bianca is lovely and easy to chat with. She is very quick to respond. We loved our stay at Saphire Beach and the location of this property is one of the best in our opinion. The views are superb! We will most definitely stay here again❤️

Condo as advertised but there is no office or free snorkel rental anymore. Condo itself was clean, well appointed,and overlooks the beach with fabulous views. Everything worked fine but you will have to turn on the AC units constantly because they turn off when you leave the property. Location is less than 5 minutes from red hook for ferry/charter boats or shopping/groceries/restaurants. The condo complex was in good shape except the pool area. The pool itself was usable but not lighted for evenings and the surrounding pergola area/bar is in complete disrepair from either a fire or storm damage. It could be a very nice addition to the property if properly fixed because of the natural beauty around it—but as is, it feels like a place to avoid. From what we saw, the beach at saphire is one of the best (although small) on the island. St Johns has even better beaches. On site bar/restaurant is right next to the condo but doesn’t spoil the view. Most nights the noise factor wasn’t really a problem because it shuts down fairly early but it was rented out for events some nights for our stay and the party went later. On night they must have forgotten to turn off the music because it was still going at 6am…but that only happened once. The food/drinks served were good. The restaurant above the bar “salt” was good but very pricey. You are paying for the views which you already have at this condo. We liked Tarpons Table on the warf in red hook for half the price.

Beautiful spot

The location of this unit was great, and the view spectacular. I would have rated the unit a 5, but there were some important items that I discussed with the owner (distinct odor that permeated the lower level, a broken & hazardous glass table, and living room furniture different than in the VRBO pictures that was only able to accommodate 2 people versus 7 as advertised) that could have been handled differently to make our stay what we had envisioned when we chose the unit over other available condos. We brought these issues to the owner's attention the morning after our arrival and, while she surprisingly offered for us to immediately vacate the property for a full refund, neither leaving the unit nor a full refund was our hope in opening communications with her. We really did appreciate the later check-out she agreed to, as we had been requesting this for several weeks and had not heard back. I will return to Sapphire without question, but this experience has taught me to pay more attention to reviews that highlight owners that attempt to find solutions to guest concerns and issues, and that focus less on defending why those issues exist.

Who needs a bedroom when you have an oceanfront balcony?

Bianca and Paul's condo is exactly as pictured and described – beautifully designed to be not only chic and modern, but also efficient with space and luxurious with modern appliances and fixtures. We spent the most time enjoying the views and the breeze from the two oceanfront balconies. It was wonderful to have access to a fully-equipped kitchen for a light breakfast and coffee before heading out to the beach every day. In terms of location, Bianca and Paul's condo is only a short distance from Red Hook where there is a market, plus restaurants and bars. We were sad that walking to this area wasn't a practical option for us on account of the narrow and heavily trafficked road on which Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina is located; however, taxis were always nearby and only $5 (each way) to and from the Red Hook area. I can't wait to see how the Sapphire Beach Resort & Marina property continues to grow and evolve. The main office and surrounding property would benefit from taking some design cues from Paul and Bianca's condo. The main office where you check in is small and the decor is outdated; it's not exactly the opulent or grand introduction one hopes to get when traveling to a new place, though the friendliness of the staff more than made up for it. The property's outdoor bar/restaurant was convenient, but lacking in drinks (quality and variety) and food menu items. Nearby in Red Hook we enjoyed The Easterly and Pesce: Italian for dinner, both recommendations from Bianca.

Perfect location and a wonderful view from the balcony

We had a nice stay at Bianca’s place. Location was great, right by Sapphire beach, the marina nearby to get fresh daily catch, restaurants 5-10 min drive, supermarket 5 min drive. Bianca was very responsive and friendly, made our stay pleasant.

Condo is nice, but property is lacking

You have to separate this listing into two categories. The condo is very nice and up to date with a beautiful view. Red Hook is very close and provided shopping, restaurants, and grocery store. The owners are very easy to communicate with and their condo is much better than most. However the property that it sits on is in disrepair. Also, you are located next to the beach bar, which can be both bad and good. When the cruise ships are in port Tue/Wed the beach will be very crowded. Secure your beach spot very early in the morning as the best spots are quickly taken.

Great location!

My family recently stayed at this condo (July 2017) and we had an enjoyable vacation. There were some pro's and con's but overall a very nice, fun vacation. Pro's: - Superb location right on sapphire beach with unbelievable view. - Convenient location to Red Hook and restaurants and ferry to St. John - Owners' are wonderful and very responsive. Cons': - Master bathroom could use updating. - Overall complex is not in great shape (tennis courts as you pull into complex and the swimming pool area is an eye sore as there is a boarded up former restaurant next to the pool)

Great to be right on the beach!

We enjoyed our stay at this location. Bianca and Paul were very accommodating when a few mechanical issues in the condo came up. One issue got fixed very quickly; the other did not but it didn't affect us as we didn't use the upstairs bathroom (no hot water). I do have to say that I thought the pictures on the VRBO website "glammed up" this unit more than what reality presented. It was nice but it wasn't quite the five star accommodations I thought we'd be staying in based upon the internet. The couch on the main level is a bit tattered and the upstairs bed sheets/linens felt cheap and well-worn. That being said, the location is fantastic because you're right on the beach with nice scenery. It was very nice to be close to Red Hook where there are some restaurants, shopping, and the port if you decide to go to another island. Thanks to Bianca and Paul for hosting us; we appreciate it!

Outdated, dirty, horrible beds, inefficient A/C

Not sure if the positive review were from people drunk but wouldn't ever stay here or at this resort. It's tired and run down and DEFINITELY not worth the $$$ we paid, what a joke!!!

Great stay on sapphire beach

Clean condo on the beach, close to red hook which makes it convenient to go to St. John. Pesce was the best restaurant we ate at by far. Also the cup n kettle was a great place for breakfast and had amazing smoothies! Unfortunately the pool bar was closed for renovation, but I am sure when it gets back up it will be great! Beautiful Modern Condo on Beach with Access to Restaurants and Boat Charters

Really enjoyed our stay at Sapphire Beach earlier this week. The unit is in great condition and as described, and Bianca and Paul were on top of all of the details to make sure our stay was as pleasant as could be, and were very accommodating to a few last minute wrinkles and needs for our trip. The beach is beautiful, and will be even nicer once the renovations are complete. Location offers a 2 minute drive to restaurant options in Red Hook, which was nice since we did not want to drive the hilly island roads at night. Walking distance to the marina for easy charters to BVI or ferry to St. John. Would highly recommend!!!

AMAZING!!!

We stayed at this condo twice this past year - once in March & then this past October. The condo is absolutely beautiful, very clean & has amazing views. Being that I used to live on the island - staying in the condo with all the amenities - including A/C was fabulous. The owners Paul & Bianca are so easy to deal with & very informative. We did have a little mix up this last time we came with not having enough pillows & blankets to accommodate all guests but one quick phone call to Paul & everything was taken care of. I definitely will recommend this condo to my friends & family if they are planning a trip to STT not only because of how beautiful the condo is but how nice the owners are. Thanks again Paul & Bianca for letting us share in on your little piece of heaven on Sapphire Beach!!

Best vacation ever!

The condo is beautiful, comfortable, and in a great location. We loved the pool at night, and after doing a beach tour of both St Thomas and St John, we were happy to see that one of the nicest beaches was right out our door. There are plenty of activities, bars, and restaurants a mere stones throw away (eat at the Off The Grid food truck!). The owners were very responsive, friendly, and helpful when we had any questions or problems. My only complaint is that we have to leave. I will definitely rent this condo again.
