This home has a spectacular gulf view from the kitchen, living room, master bedroom and guest bedroom! Sleeping quarters include master bedroom with king size bed - guest room with queen bed and a bunk room with 1 full/full bunk bed and one twin/twin bunk bed. For your convenience all beds are pre-made with linens provided for free. But the best part is the view! From the 3 decks you can watch the sun rise or sun set. In addition you will see the ships travel in the Gulf and the barges on the Inter-coastal canal. The grill, two built in picnic tables and bar downstairs make entertaining easy and enjoyable in any kind of weather. WiFi & ROKU are available. Great experience

Everything was exactly what I expected at booking. I’ve read a few reviews about bedding which wasn’t a problem for me. Slept great. All the appliances worked perfectly along with ac/heating. We used both on this trip. Couldn’t ask for a better location, literally right on the beach. I hope to have the opportunity to return!

early departure

Enjoyed the short stay, but due to snow storm and travel advisories predicted we had to leave a day early. Not sure that we will be reimbursed one night's stay due to these circumstances beyond our control. We did notify the owner of our early departure and why, but did not receive assurances regarding reimbursement.

Excellent beach house!

Even though a severe thunderstorm nearby and knocked out the power. The property owner was great!! She checked on us regularly and made our stay wonderful! We will return!

Perfect and Accommodating

We met family for a cold, rainy and windy weekend but still loved every minute! The house is right on the beach! The pictures make it look like you kind of have an angle view to beach. It's direct! Your entire front view is beach! We could hear the waves when inside the house! The patio is very large and could provide alot of shade during summer. Lots of room in the house for easy movement. Loved the layout and ease of use with bathrooms. You don't have to walk into the master to use the bathroom. Both bathrooms have two doors so you don't feel like you're using someone else's bathroom. Margene was readily available to assist us with a few questions. We couldn't have asked for a better stay!

Absolutely Amazing!

The place was exactly as advertised. It was clean and the view was amazing! It was a quick walk to the beach and with an outdoor shower to wash all the sand off before heading into the house! We will be back!

Perfect for our needs

We visited Crystal Beach and stayed at this property for a long weekend. It was just as advertised and exactly what we were looking for. I am particular about three things: cleanliness, plentiful towels and comfortable beds. I would rate five stars for all three! The coffee maker is drip style so leave your pods at home. The kitchen is otherwise well equipped. The neighborhood is peaceful and you can’t get any closer to the beach. We absolutely loved sitting on the deck watching the tide roll in and out. Communication with the owner was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. We would love to return.

Our family loves Pelican Bay!!

This was year #2 for us and it has all the comforts of home. We had a couple of rainy days but we had plenty of room to spread out and the covered deck and deck furniture allowed us to sit outside in between storms!! The check in and check out is so easy and convenient too. Thanks for sharing your house!!

Location is great!

The property was nice. Well maintained except the mattresses. The mattresses are not good. The beds are very uncomfortable. The master bed is very lumpy with holes worn on each side. There is a huge hump in the middle. The second bedroom the mattress is hard, like sleeping on the bare floor hard. The other couple that stayed with us ended up sleeping on the bunkbeds in an effort to get a good nights sleep. It was a struggle. A mattress topper would work wonders. All that to say, everything else was fine. Well equipped. Aside from beds we had everything we needed. The location is fantastic. Proximity to the beach was awesome!

Wonderful weekend

We were extremely pleased with the beach house it had great views, lots of deck space to sit with spectacular ocean views. We fished on beach in front of house. The house was clean with plenty of space. Would stay again!!

Just perfect!!!

This property is ideal! We were a party of 4 adults with two dogs. The description is dead on! No surprises! Clean, cute and comfy! Walk to the beach was so close! Host was very responsive! Ocean views amazing! We will be back!!

Great location away from the crowds!

This house is great and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds were comfortable and the house is in a great location on the beach. The only negatives was check in is at 4 but the house wasn't cleaned until 5 so we had to wait around which isn't great after a long drive. I do understand these things happen. We also washed the sheets again and the comforters as they didn't seem fresh. Other than those couple of things the house is great and the A/C was cold! We enjoyed our stay.

Beach trip canceled

Loved this property in the past but did not get to go this time because of hurricane beryl. No electricity or cleaning available until too late for us to start our drive down. Owner kept in touch daily and was wonderful despite things beyond her control.

Nice place

The property is a nice basic beach house with quick access to a very good beach. The beach was mostly clean with lots of shells. The pictures make the house look more spacious than it actually is, but it is fine for a family. I bought a good can opener, sponges, and cleaner to leave as there were a few voids. Overall we had a very good stay and enjoyed our time.

Great location! Fantastic home!

We so enjoyed our stay! This was a great location in a beautiful home away from home. We were pleasantly surprised at how far away the “party traffic” was from this location with it being “jeep weekend.” The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals and our grandkids loved their time on the beach with Nonny and Poppy. Will be back again!

Nothing to be impressed with but nothing to complain about either.

Over all it was a good weekend. The fees at the emd of booking, especially the 400 dollar cleanimg fee, kind of put a small kink in the start. And the check in and check out times were in my mind silly. But we got over it quickly and had a good time on the beach enjoying drinks music. The kitchen was stocked pretty well woth utensils and what not. And the towels were very pleasant.

Great experience

The owner of the property communicates amazingly. New floors were being laid down and due to christmas the workers didnt get the baseboard finished. She offered me her other property, which i actually preferred. We had an amazing time! The whole penninsula has a serious mosquito issue but we had no issues once up on the deck.

Good location down the beach away from main crowds. Too many mosquitoes but it has been a mild winter. House was clean & orderly. Main deck needs a couple minor repairs, mainly cosmetic so far. Host responsiveness was on-point. Check-in and check-out process very smooth. Not a fan of the Roku TV, myself. Overall very good stay...

Clean home, great views, beautiful sunrises

Accurate description by host. House is less than 1/2 lot from dunes so you are about as close to the beach as you can get. Great views of the sunrise and surf. Large deck. We stayed in late October - it was really quiet in the general area on the weekend, and even more quiet during the week. Interior is updated, bed was comfortable. Furniture was comfortable (we find this to not be a common thing). Would be great for a large family or two families.

Great Home with amazing views!

Probably the best property we’ve visited on the Texas coast in a long time, The home was very clean and well maintained, the deck was huge and beach access couldn’t have been better. The owner book of suggestions and menus was very helpful as this was our first visit to The Bolivar peninsula.

Through the advice of my brother Mike Walz of Crystal Beach's Walz Family Builders I seized the opportunity to sell my California condominium and built on Bolivar. Since my brother owns a home and a business in Crystal Beach I have visited many times. Each time I fell more and more in love with the area. I decided to invest my retirement money here and I can't wait to share this peaceful stress-free beach with you.

The front deck is 16' deep - 8' is covered and 8' is uncovered. Guests are able to enjoy the shade, read, sip a glass of wine or beer or tan in the sunshine. The deck which wraps around 3 sides of the house has private doors from the Master bedroom and Guest bedroom. Each has its own romantic personal space. But the most impressive thing about this home is the spectacular beach front view. The family area under the house includes an enclosed shower, bar and 2 built-in picnic tables. It is a wonderful area that will accommodate many family members and guests. Plus it offers you all the comforts of home with the additional bonus of hearing and watching the surf.
