Host was very responsive to questions and in resolving minor issue we had. House is pet friendly with dog beds and tennis balls provided. Toys for small kids were there for use as well as a large variety of board games. House was very nice and well stocked with kitchen & bathroom supplies. Swing set out side as well as plenty of seating, campfire, kayaks, rowboat. We enjoyed our stay.

The lake house was the perfect weekend getaway/ venue for my family to celebrate my late mothers memory. The house was equipped with everything we could have needed to host a family meal and relax to the serene lake views.

We loved our stay at the lake house. We liked the privacy and getting the whole beach and lake to ourselves. So cool how convenient it was to take a boat on the lake. The layout of the house is so nice with large bedrooms and bathrooms.

My family and I stayed at the Lake House for the holiday. We can not say enough about the amenities, the house & the owners. We look forward to returning to this magical place for our next family reunion.

My family of 13 had an absolutely wonderful week. We have never rented a vacation home with more amenities inside and outside than were offered at this house. The scenery was beautiful in all directions. It was very peaceful and relaxing. Our five grandchildren were never bored with the game room, the disc golf, the playground equipment, the basketball net, the paddle boat, the kayaks, the row boat, the canoe and the fishing equipment. The fishermen in our family caught some really nice, big bass in the lake. We didn't encounter any other people unless we left the house and drove to nearby Bulls Bridge and Falls, or to Kent, CT for ice cream or groceries. This is probably the first time we haven't had a single complaint/concern about a vacation home. We were all very sad when our vacation week was over, but we hope to spend a week here again in the future. Donna B.

We have stayed at many VRBO properties, and hands down, this is the most well equipped in every way! And the responsiveness to questions and needs is immediate. This is why we come back as a family, including our dogs, to play here.

Another great stay at the lake

Our family's second stay at the lake did not disappoint. Perfect spot to relax with the whole lake to yourself. Disc golf is a nice addition. Hosts are great and responsive to any questions.

A place to unwind

Wonderful location with caring, responsive hosts. This is an excellent place to relax and do absolutely nothing except eat, sleep, take walks and watch the waves on the water. Paradise.

Amazing waterfront property

This property has everything you could ask for from water sports to yard games, places to relax and unwind! My husband and I had the most restorative weekend on the lake and can’t wait to come back!

Wonderful setting for a private family gathering

A delightful place. Having the lake to ourselves with magnificent views plus a property that has plenty to keep everyone active--including the very active 4 year old in our group--was amazing. Do note that the downstairs bathroom has narrow doors so mobility impaired people may not be able to access it without assistance.

We had a wonderful time during our week-long stay! The house and property were fantastic. There was so much to that we didn't really even leave: pool, air hockey, badminton, cornhole, not to mention canoeing and kayaking on the lake. We did visit nearby Kent, which is a lovely town, and there are so many walking/hiking/running trails nearby (my son is a distance runner).Check-in was seamless. The kitchen was very well stocked, and many of the rooms had beautiful water views. It was so private and peaceful. We have stayed at many lake houses over the years and this was definitely a favorite!

beautiful scenic location on a lake with Kayaking & fishing

great place for a family get together; relaxing & private. enjoyed being on a quiet lake with big picture windows. only negative was uncomfortable pull out couch on first floor that I suggested would be enjoyed more if room could be made into a bedroom

We’re sorry you found the sofa bed uncomfortable and that you felt it was enough of a problem to have a negative effect on the rating you gave us. Often people considering the Lake House for a vacation will ask about the sleeping arrangements. When I describe the two sofa beds I tell them one is quite comfortable, the other, the one you had difficulty with, quite uncomfortable, and more suitable for children. Perhaps I should put that in the Lake House description on VRBO/Homeaway. We’ll also investigate getting a new mattress to upgrade the unit. Putting a bed in the room, to replace the sofa, would prevent guests not using the room, from accessing the most picturesque room in the Lake House. Thank you for your comments.

Thanksgiving in the Hudson Valley

This was our 2nd family gathering at The Lake House — Christmas last year and now Thanksgiving. Tons of new memories and cherished time spent together (we all live in different states). The house is perfect for gathering and relaxing! Thanks once again, from our entire family!!

They know how to host visitors

Everything was designed for the visitor: all the amenities needed, terrific organization of entertainment from lakeside accommodations to spectacular game room. Even though someone could live there, it was particularly careful to pay attention to little tings that only visitors would appreciate. I'd stay again, but this time, longer.

Terrific Lakefront House

Great views from all rooms of the house. Plenty of watercraft to enjoy on the private lake. Lots of games to play inside and outside. Great beach and fire pit to relax and make s’mores. This is a really great house located only 10 minutes from Kent. Very quiet, spacious, and fun for everyone.

Family trip 2024

Three generations and two dogs thoroughly enjoyed the privacy, the quiet, the over the top amenities provided at this amazing house. We could not believe the thoughtfulness of both indoor and outdoor games, little extras everywhere, even for the dogs! We will absolutely be back.

Tranquil, Peaceful and Stunningly Beautiful

Warm and welcoming home situated perfectly on the edge of a private lake. The house is very comfortable and feels like home. It has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. There are breathtaking views from every window. You can drink your morning coffee while watching the morning fog rise off the lake and meanwhile swans swim by the window. Lots of fantastic views, places to sit and enjoy the lake. Very pleasant and relaxing.

Amazing location!

This home is situated on a beautiful lake and could not be any more peaceful and beautiful. John was amazingly attentive. The game room above the detached garage was unheated but was a huge hit with my kids!! Thanks for the hospitality. Will come back in the summer next!!!

Our Fifth Summer at the Lake House!

Another magical two weeks at the lake house, thank you to the Fila family! Your home is beautiful, comfortable, and a perfect family getaway. We bring grandparents, adults, and kids, and every one of us love this special time on your beautiful lake. In no particular order, we: kayak, swim, play pingpong, barbecue, jump on the trampoline, read books in shady comfy chairs, fish, canoe, and build epic nightly fires on the lake's shore. We hope to see you again next summer, thank you again!

Fantastic rental!

This was the most well appointed house we’ve ever rented! Anything you might need, both inside and out, can be easily found here. We barely left the house and simply relaxed playing games and watching movies during the rain. We ranged in age from 29-85 and all enjoyed it so much. The game room in the detached garage was an added bonus which we used a lot! Small towns are close by but the house is very secluded. We highly recommend renting this property.
