Future guests, Whether its one of our cabins or any overnight rental, if you have an issue lets us know while you are there. Typically we can solve most issues right then and there. 3rd floor shower for example its a bit unique, the shower head was set up wrong took just a moment to re adjust. Also sent a picture to our cleaner to make sure its setup the correct way for the future. The tv, today its working and i could stream u tube. (On a past guest account). I'm very sorry your Grandma had trouble with the stairs. Most of the cabins in Chalet Village are built on the side of a mountain so stairs are a pretty common feature. They were built back in the 1960's when there were no building codes and there is not a lot we can do to change them. The Gatlinburg fire department does approve these cabins for rental. One of their big sticking point is stair safety. They may be steep or narrow, but they do meet the fire department requirements if not current building codes. This pretty much applies to every cabin up here and not just ours. We send out directions which I think do a pretty good job of getting folks to the cabin. Again, Chalet Village is a maze of twisty roads that are hard to navigate; especially if you come in at night. I have updated the directions occasionally when somebody points out a particularly confusing direction. At least we do give you the address of the cabin. Most guests have somebody in the car that has a smart phone or GPS and it usually can take you right to the cabin. We live up here full time and frequently have people flag us down looking for their cabins. Some of the directions that they have from the owners and rental companies are almost criminally bad so I feel like ours are pretty good. But, there is always room for improvement. Just let us know what could have done to make them clearer.
