Seaside Vista was a private home for years. Now the new owner did a total renovation and has placed it on the vacation rental market.
Seaside Vista is the closest oceanfront villa to town; a very unique property, next to Gallows Point. Imagine being able to take a dip in the ocean anytime you like, only steps away from your own beach house! Seaside Vista underwent extensive renovation after the hurricane including new high quality finishes and all new furnishings which will make your stay truly enjoyable.

The villa is equipped with solar panels and a Tesla back-up battery system which automatically engages in the event of a power outage.
Most of the other options available in town are condos. Instead of sharing walls and a building with many others in a condo, you can enjoy the privacy of your own beachfront villa?
in 2018, the owner completed a top to bottom renovation, a real vintage Caribbean Cottage with modern touches done in a way to preserve the unique relaxing cottage feel, yet with an element of understated luxury. Because its just around the corner from Gallows Point, it hides any noise from town, yet its an easy 2 block stroll to the heart of Cruz Bay.
You'll enjoy the soothing sounds of the surf from the large 15' x 20' screened in terrace as you watch the sailboats go by. In the evening, enjoy fabulous sunsets year round plus the twinkling lights of St Thomas.
The air conditioned spacious master bedroom (14' x 12') has a king size bed with direct access to the large ocean view terrace. The bedroom's windows on 3 sides provide cooling Caribbean breezes and an ocean view.
The beautiful Restoration Hardware bath is accessed directly from the master bedroom. Seaside Vista is perfect for a couple as you can rent the cottage with the 2nd bedroom locked, and the rate is priced accordingly. (The 2nd bedroom is never rented to a different party.) The published rate is for the 1 bedroom, up to 2 guests.
The second air conditioned bedroom was thoughtfully designed in a nautical style with new twin bunk beds. A blow up twin mattress is also available for a 3rd child. For convenience, the bathroom is accessible right from the second bedroom as well. The cost for 2nd bedroom/additional guests is $50 per night + tax per guest.
The large newly tiled terrace has plenty of room for relaxing and dining and features all new furniture. The kitchen has been totally remodeled and features new counters, appliances and a more contemporary open floor plan to the living room (20' x 11'). A new counter with bar stools makes it a great place to hang. The living room has large ocean view windows with a comfy sectional couch and a doorway that opens up directly to the terrace. There is also a furnished private courtyard with a grill.

My family of four enjoyed our stay. Easy walk from the ferry, restaurants and bars in Cruz Bay. The house has everything you need. It was clean and the host was available if we would have needed anything. We spent a lot of time on the screened patio. Great sunset view!!!

The two of us loved the screened porch and the views! The location is primo and the convenience of the short walk to restaurants and shops saved the hassle of parking in town. Host was great !

This place is amazing! The view and porch are perfect. 5 minute walk to town. Michael gives you tons of information beforehand and is super helpful with any questions. Highly recommend!!

Our family of four would highly recommend this beautiful villa within a short walk of Cruz Bay. The home was easy to live in for our family, it was clean, and well appointed. The solar panels and Tesla battery is a great back up to occasional island power outages. The host did a wonderful job communicating details with us through our trip.

Great location! We loved hearing the waves every night! Our host was very responsive and provided us with a lot of very helpful recommendations. Would love to return!

We really enjoyed our stay at Seaside Vista! The owner provided great information in advance, about not only the rental property, but also about ferry/taxi options, beach and restaurant info/suggestions, etc. This helped us tremendously with our trip planning. Everything was clean, with plenty of bath and kitchen towels provided. The villa is convenient for a quick walk to restaurants, shops, and ferries, while being just far enough away that we did not hear the music from town. The screen porch was the perfect spot for us to enjoy breakfast each morning! We were also pleased with the kitchen supplies/condiments and toiletries that were provided. We were very happy with the overall experience, and plan to return!

Michael was thorough in his communication about things to do on the island, restaurants, what to expect in the cottage, and responded immediately to any questions we had. The cottage was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed. The location was perfect! We watched the sunset each afternoon and relaxed to the sound of waves lapping in the bay.

The cottage was perfect for our stay and had everything we needed. We especially loved spending time on the screened in porch in the morning drinking coffee and in the evening watching the sunset. The location was great, it was just a few minute walk into town yet also very quiet. Our host provided a lot of information about places to eat and visit and was very responsive. We eould definately stay here again.

Fabulous location, within walking distance to the town center/ferry/taxis/restaurants. Very responsive communication from host, and the villa was well appointed and comfortable. The ocean views and constant sounds of the surf made the experience relaxing and restorative. We had a wonderful week exploring the beauty of St. John from this villa.

Wonderful Location
The location made it so easy to walk to Cruz Bay restaurants and when we drove to beaches they were easily accessible.

Perfect anniversary getaway
Spent a week here celebrating our wedding anniversary. Beautiful sunsets, quiet location close to Cruz Bay, well-equipped villa had everything we needed. The villa owner was very helpful, provided great information, and made our stay an enjoyable and memorable one.

Great little villa close to town
This villa is in a perfect location, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in Cruz Bay. The veranda is perfect for your morning coffee overlooking the bay. Everything you need for a perfect vacation.

Great screened in deck! (No mosquito bites)
Great location! (Easy 5 min walk into town)
Closeness to a beach! (Was able to snorkel and saw a lot of fish - 100 yards from villa)

Thanks Vic for your nice comments. For visitors who may not know, being so close to the water is a blessing when you have a giant (15' x 20') SCREENED IN Veranda to protect you from the bugs. Most places this close to town are not screened in. Come back soon!

Beautiful property
This beautiful property is located in an ideal location with walking distance to Cruz Bay. The sunset views from the covered porch were a great way to end the day. We had a truly great vacation and were able to explore the island at our pace.

Our Home in St John
4th time we stayed at Seaside Vista. The cottage is perfect for my husband and myself, the screened-in porch is one of the draws. The bedding, towels, bed and cleanliness are all in line with the cottage.

Perfect Location
We loved this home. Beautiful view and only a two minute walk into Cruz Bay. Great communication from owner. We’re already looking at our calendar for a return trip!

Great location
Perfect place for a small family. Really no need to rent a car at this location. Walk to town. Catch a taxi to beach. Walk to pier for boat or ferry
