Owners personal residence for many years so well-maintained. The downstairs living space called the Captain's Quarters includes a dbl bed, full size futon , full bath, and efficiency kitchen.
The upstairs living space has 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a living room with 1 full size futon, huge bay windows, a dining area, and full kitchen. You will also enjoy your personal lighted 375 ft pier. Seating on bottom patio for 20 with New Entertainment Bar.
Valynslanding is a perfect summer retreat or a Winter Texans/Snowbirds oasis!

Great spot in Palacios

We really enjoyed the location, amenities and views. There are crab traps, pots for cooking them, a propane BBQ, games and lots of great outdoor spots to relax. Today, we all sat out on the balcony and enjoyed our coffee while watching a spectacular sunrise. It felt like Hawaii. This spot is also close to the downtown area and grocery store.

2nd stay at a great place

Great property in a prime location. Very well maintained with lots of bells and whistles. Town is quiet (which we like) but you can get some good food! Owners know what they are doing and it shows.

Excellent stay and host

This home is beautiful, clean, comfy beds, and has a great fishing pier to top it off. We had a blast fishing all night. We didn’t catch much but sure had fun trying. The hosts were quick to respond and very friendly.

Wonderful experience!

We came to Palacios for the Pedal Palacios bike rally. Judy and Val were very responsive to questions we had. The house was beautiful and very comfortable. We had lots of fun on the pier. Will definitely be back.

Great fishing getaway

Great house for families or 3 couples. Private fishing pier and entertainment area was perfect for us. Caught Flounder, reds, and various other fish. Had a great time and the house had everything we needed.

Wonderful location and house

This is our third time staying here. It has everything we need: great space in the house, great access to the water, and a great space outside to enjoy and relax. We caught fish and crabs and everything we needed to make several meals was there in the stocked kitchen. Loved every minute. Our family was three generations from 80 to 8 and everyone had a great time. Thanks again!!

Fun on the bay

We had to find a place to stay at the last minute because of the hurricane that went through Surf Side. The owners were very kind in helping us and kept us up to date on the status of their power and internet. The internet was out during our stay but it was ok. We had a great time hanging out, BBQ'ing and watching the porpoises from the dock.

Beautiful Home

My family and I love the home. Some amenities needs improving. 1) grass should have been cut before rental arriving. 2) should label all switches and water valves,no water at cleaning station.3) upstairs Door knob was too loose had trouble locking it glad there was a dead bolt.4)Bridge to pier was wobbly and shaking side to side. 5) Large opening in fence on side of property had trouble with neighboring dog coming though at our dog we didn't know if it was after us or our fur baby,VERY SCARY.6) there was 2 crab traps available and both was so corroded that bait was easily removed by the crabs and thery could escape out of trap with ease. The home itself was a dream of a stay, enjoyed it.

Perfect for our family's needs

We've stayed here several times which should tell you enough about our enjoyment of this spot. The guys fish and kayak all day while the gals enjoy the lovely patio and deck spaces with books and coffee. There is a lovely walk along the gulf just a half mile from the house which I enjoy in the mornings. The town is quiet and not touristy which perfectly meets our needs. Thank you for creating such a lovely space!

My husband Val and I grew up in Palacios and raised our 4 children here. We love this town and the water and never thought we could own a home on the water. We lived happily at Valyn's Landing for many years until our family just grew too big and we needed more space. A piece of our hearts stay with the property even though we only live a few miles away!

Our property was our family home for many years and we took great care of it. We take pride in sharing the home we made so many great memories in with our children, grandchildren, and friends. You will love the open concept of the living space which allows for water views from just about every room. You will enjoy the private pier as you fish, sunbathe, swim, or porpoise watch. Palacios is a great little town that will remind you of a simpler time.

We bought this property for the outdoor space, private pier, and amazing view. The home needed extensive remodeling and updating which we did and continue to do.
