This property is amazing. Kitchen is very equipped with everything and the beds are so comfortable. Cabin was very clean and smelled amazing. Martha was so easy to work with. Will definitely go back

Yearly Matagorta Trip

We enjoyed our stay. We didn’t have any problems at all with the property. Everything worked and there was plenty of room for all 6 of us adults. We caught plenty of fish right off the dock and the area seems safe. We will be back!

Beautiful House with a great fishing dock

We really enjoyed our stay here. It had a great outdoor space to stretch out and fish. Indoors was clean and very well stocked with everything we needed.

Pleasantly surprised at the house and amenities. Fishing was horrible. Plenty of crabs to catch if that is what you want. A surprise tropical storm and storm surge around house and other properties. Wish there were a few more amenities in Matagorda.

Home Sweet Home

This is such a great place! The downstairs patio area has picnic tables, a swing, bathroom and laundry room. Our group ranged in age from 17 to 95 and we were all very comfortable. Martha was quick to respond to our texts and answer questions.The floor plan allowed our 3 households to merge under one roof with each family having their own bedroom and bathroom. This is our third year in this area and it is the best home we have stayed in and hope to come again. I highly recommend the property.

Great time.

The house is nice and comfortably sleeps many people. The kids loved the loft area. All the amenities worked. The view from the upper deck is beautiful.

What an AWESOME PLACE to stay!!!!!

Thanks for letting us stay in your beautiful, clean and very spacious camp. We greatly enjoyed the comfort of the house, fishing on the dock and the location right between the beach, fishing jetty's and town. We would love to stay here again next year. I did forget to clean the grill, so hope this wasn't much trouble. Thanks again!!!!!!!

Perfect place for a group!

We were pleasantly surprised how nice this place is. It is perfectly placed in between the beach and the City of Matagorta. We caught several fish off the lighted dock and there are plenty of rod holders for several rods. Highly recommend!!

Company Fishing Trip

Never heard of Matagorda until we chose it as our destination for our company fishing trip. Very small fishing town. Very neat and unique place. When we went in September, it seemed no one except the locals were there. We were ok with that. This property met all of our expectations. Very clean! Plenty of room! Very nice owner. Huge deck to fish off of along with a cleaning station. I don’t have anything negative to say about the house. It was perfect!

Great for a large group

The house was great! Very welcoming and comfortable for a large family. I had a couple of questions before booking and the owner was quick to respond. She was very accommodating. The house was clean and looked better than the pictures. The upstairs loft was tight but it served its purpose. 3 beds are in the loft and the other 4 beds are in a tiny room next to the loft. We absolutely loved all the bathrooms especially with our big family! We spent a lot of time on the big deck as well as the outdoor space downstairs. It was convenient having a bathroom downstairs while we were fishing. The location was great. It's close to the beach. Our GPS could not find the house. I knew the house was on Beach Rd and what the house looked like so we were able to find the house. There was plenty of parking. We had a 32ft trailer, 4 vehicles and 2 side by sides. I only have 1 negative thing to say about the house. The pillows were awful. They were thin and flat. I had to put 2 together to make one. So i would suggest bringing your own pillow if you like them fluffy. Overall, we loved the house! The owners were nice and it made our family trip wonderful! If we come back, we will definitely stay here again.

We fished off the dock in the back. The location was great. The beach is a little less then desirable but is ok to fish from.

The Perfect Matagorda River House

I almost do not want to share how wonderful this house is, as then it will be booked up all the time. My family of 5 (three boys 12-16) and my parents all stayed in this house. The boys fished and crabbed in the mornings and night. Had the best time! The dock is one of the best in the area for enjoying the river and stars. The beach was close and during the day we enjoyed the sand and the ocean water. Such a great vacation ❤️
