We had a great stay! The hot tub and porch were the highlight. Our dog loved sitting outside looking out into the woods. Overall amazing stay in a great location for enjoying nature and disconnecting.

We thoroughly enjoyed our family stay at this woodsy artist cabin. The deck and the hot tub, under the dark night skies were absolutely perfect for Star gazing. There are hikes, lakes, live music and outdoor dinner down the road at the James Ranch. The kitchen had everything you could want to make practically anything. We’re grateful to have had such a nice comfy stay with our family. Oh, nearby we did see a moose and her calf!

People like you have been good to the home and taken good care of it with us. Thank you! Oh, and we saw the bull moose in our driveway! He walked right down the driveway - across our walkway and into the grassy spot beside the house. Seven feet Tall! So exciting.

Our little family absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful Colorado home! My husband, our Golden Retriever, and I spent almost two weeks here, and it truly felt like a peaceful home away from home. The location was perfect — close to Purgatory and conveniently between Durango and Silverton — and the house was exceptionally well equipped, especially the kitchen, with thoughtful extras that made meal prep easy. We especially enjoyed the back porch, hot tub, front porch swing, and the swing under the back porch, along with the soothing sound of the creek behind the house. The wildlife sightings were unforgettable, including a bear, coyotes, beavers, and plenty of chipmunks. This home had everything we needed to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy a memorable Colorado getaway, and we would happily book again.

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay, Travis! We do refill the hot tub several times a year. I don't like just covering over the smell with chemicals, so we drain and refill it a lot.

Beautiful house. Very private. Everything you need is there. Lots of firewood too. Great view out of back of house & deck..very comfortable. Close area for day trips north and south.

This beautifully decorated home was by far the best place we've stayed in while skiing at Purgatory! The kitchen had everything needed for making delicious meals before and after long days on the slopes. Relaxing on the porch with views and sounds of Cascade Creek was amazing! The home was very comfortable with a warm, homey atmosphere. Mark was responsive and a delight to work with! Hope we're blessed to rent this home again!

We had a fantastic family stay, Not much snow, but the walks around the cabin the Jacuzzi and fire pit on the deck made up fo the lack of snow. The cabin is well equipped with a lot of nice upgrades. We will definately be back if you will have us :-)

Everything about the house was exceptional! Location to the ski resort was minutes - perfect for our kids who don’t like a long drive to and from, but also gives us more privacy than a hotel. Clean house, comfortable beds, and The hot tub was always hot and so nice after skiing! We cooked every night and played board games, sat on the balcony and listened to the creek, even had a bald eagle fly by each evening! The setting was stunning. The artwork inside the cabin, mind blowing! The people in Durango were so kind and made our day downtown so fun. Had the best trip! Hoping to be back over summer for some mountain biking.

We really enjoyed our stay. Don’t know if the dishwasher was on when we left? The TV in the guest bedroom was not working. Otherwise the house was beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. Thank you.
The fireplace was used daily.
