Experience History in an original Carriage House located behind a Colonial home.

The Carriage House Inn’s, The Cottage, located on the National Historic Registered Shaver House estate.
The Cottage is the original 1898 carriage house of the historic Shaver home.
Guests enjoy their own private Cottage on the historic acre estate.
Amenities include: Private parking, access to the Shaver House gardens, with outside dining and grilling areas, hammock, stone cobbled fire pit (marshmallow roast and bon-fire set-up available upon request).

One bedroom, one bathroom 1000 sq. ft. cottage with living room, dining room and fully-equipped kitchen. Upstairs Bedroom with a King Size bed and picturesque window overlooking Rich Mountain. Eat-in Kitchenette equipped with stove, range, microwave, fridge/freezer, plates, glasses and cutlery. Living Room includes full-size couch, oversized chair, TV/DVD, writing desk and rocking chair. For extended stays, weekly housekeeping will be provided. All guests enjoy complimentary Wi-Fi.

Walking distance from Janssen Park and Historic Downtown Mena:

Our go-to place to say in Mena!

We make periodic visits to Mena and ever since discovering The Carriage House Inn a few years ago this is our go-to place to stay. The hosts, Ashley and Scott are wonderful and they strive to provide the best possible guest experience.

Enjoyed the Carrage House

The carrage house was very quite and private. The location for walking around town is very convenient. Wish we could have stayed long enough to meet the chickens. Would stay again.

Highly recommend!

Loved this property! Plus...you get the use of the beautiful grounds....we sat under the white lights at night in the midst of the pretty landscaping....rock paths, etc. A lovely place to stay! Very clean, a comfy bed, nice towels and linens....overall a great experience!

Perfect

As soon as we walked in the door, the soothing sound of classical music hit our ears. The entire place felt warm and welcoming. The cottage had a cozy yet sophisticated feel. It warmed my heart when I found the two homemade chocolate chip cookies on the counter for us when we arrived. Beautiful, clean, and comfortable stay. One of the best places booked for an overnight getaway.

Very unique place. Nothing fancy but it was a great place to relax. Grounds were special with sitting areas and a fire pit. Would book again

Five Star

We didn't go to Arkansas in search of a diamond, but we found a five star diamond in Mena Arkansas. The Carriage House exceeded our expectations. My husband and I have visited 49/50 States and this is the cleanest place we've stayed in. If we’re ever in Mena Arkansas we will definitely stay at the Carriage House.

Hands down the nicest cleanest place in mean to stay

We stayed one night in the carriage house. It's definitely a house. Lots of room. Beautiful furnishings and very clean. The owners were super nice and very welcoming. If luxury and cleanliness is what your looking for. Look no further. 110 percent satisfied.

Very nice

We have stayed here 3 times and each time Ashley and her husband are always gracious and kind. I would always recommend staying here to anyone. Her chocolate chip cookies are delicious.

Holiday overnight

Just one night so we could visit with my husband’s family from Gravis. Lovely little historic cottage. Would definitely stay again if ever back in the area.

Perfect for us and super clean!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Carriage House - it was so perfect for us! This is our 3rd stay although first time we got to stay in the actual Carriage House. Our previous visits, we stayed in the Parisian Suite and another time in the Sonoma Suite - we loved both of those as well. The Carriage House was perfect - so cute, completely clean and had everything we needed for our stay - fully stocked kitchen - (the cutest fridge and toaster), super cozy bed! The grounds are so nice - our family stayed there as well in another unit and it was just perfect. We really didn't want to leave! We will not stay anywhere else while in Mena! And, the welcome cookies are such a nice welcome treat - and are delicious too!

Wheel a Mena trip

Loved our stay at this beautiful, clean and comfortable property. We had everything we needed. We loved the King size bed to rest up after our bike ride in the Quachita Mountains.

Return Traveler

We stayed on the property in July, we had such a great experience we returned with guests. We wanted to check in early if possible to unload then register in a local car show, it was no problem. The owners are very accommodating and the property is just beautiful plus inviting for traveling in groups. Lots of outdoor space with seating, firepit, axe throwing and chickens roaming around.

Charming

The property was simply charming, the Carriage House was clean, beautifully done with plenty of room and fully equipped with everything you need. The grounds were lovely with beautiful plantings, a waterfall, hammock, axe throwing block and lots of outdoor seating, even chickens! Property is very close to downtown with ample restaurants and shops, including an art gallery. The owner was very friendly plus took the time to show me the other units for rent. We are going back to Mena next month for a car show and renting the Carriage House again!

Perfect in every way

We stayed in the Carriage House. What a treat. Beautiful furnishings, incredibly soft sheets and towels, nice gardens. The pups and chickens added to the home town feel. A couple of hours after we arrived our hostess brought us hot chocolate chip cookies. Yum! I would highly recommend this delightful property.

Before moving to Mena in 2005, they both traveled extensively for both work and pleasure, seeking out the unexpected to fully experience the city or town they were visiting. They are striving to provide a unique experience to their guests. The Inn currently has 3 guest cottages (perfect for families, couples or long-term guests) and 3 queen rooms (all private with outside entrances).
