The Laurel Run Cottage is nestled in the rolling hills of Southeast, Ohio while still remaining close to nearby restaurants, shops, and local attractions. The cottage boasts 3 comfortable bedrooms, 1 bathroom, large living spaces, and a spacious kitchen. Traveling is a breeze when you stay with us as the lodge is fully equipped with great amenities. Property offers an outdoor hot tub, fire pit, and great quality time. State Parks, lakes, canoe & kayaking, ziplining and so much more all located within a short distance from the property.
You are centrally located to all Athens, Logan, and Nelsonville have to offer allowing you to explore all of Southeast, Ohio! Our guests are minutes from Old Man’s Cave, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave, Ohio University, and countless state lakes. Come explore, experience, and enjoy the great outdoors and the beautiful rolling hills of Hocking Hills and Wayne National Forest.
When you stay at this property, you will find yourself having relaxing days and cozy nights giving you the sense of being at home away from home. This lovely 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom Nelsonville home comfortably accommodates up to 8 guests, making it a great location for a fun Hocking Hills family vacation or an extended weekend with friends. You are welcomed to a charming front porch that has two porch swings.
Upon entering the property, there is a spacious main living room, full equipped kitchen, sitting area, and 3 comfortable bedrooms. You and your guests can get cozy next to the electric fireplace on the large sectional in the main living room. The flat screen TV allows you to watch a suspenseful movie with a buttery bowl of popcorn. After a long day of hiking, head back to the farmhouse to enjoy homemade dishes. The kitchen comes fully equipped with all the amenities and appliances needed for a getaway. Grab fresh ingredients from our local Kroger located in town or drive 15 minutes down the road to enjoy some of our favorite local restaurants!
When you get tired, rest in the comfortable bedrooms. Each bedroom comes with a ceiling fan, flatscreen TV, and extra blankets – keeping you and your guests comfortable and relaxed. If you want to keep your packing to minimum, no need to stress because there is a washer and dryer that can be utilized throughout your entire stay.

Our stay was great the place has just about everything you would need and close enough to town for whatever you forgot. Just don’t try to order takeout no place will deliver.

Excellent!
Our stay was peaceful and serene. The house was clean and comfortable. Fire pit was in great shape and we spent most of our time there.

Relaxing weekend near it all.
We had a great time. The house was VERY clean and had more than enough towels/linens and kitchen utensils, pots/pans and dishes.
House was quiet and close to everything we wanted to experience! Communication was clear and quick.

Very nice and clean
Property was nicer, clean and very spacious. We thought it could use some mirrors upstairs since there’s only one bathroom. We enjoyed our stay and would go back.

Loved the fire pit and the hot tub. The hot tub wasn’t very hot though. It was set at 93 or four and we weren’t allowed to turn it up. The place was fairly clean, except the window blinds needed a good cleaning. We had a great time.

Cozy and Private
I absolutely loved this adorable house!! It was so clean and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The only negative thing I could say about the trip is it didn't last long enough!!! Will totally stay again

LAUREL RUN IN HOCKING HILLS
The property looks like someone's personal home and was equipped as such. The inside was kept up well which made our stay feel like we were home away from home.

Quite Time
It was great to have a respite from city noise; there was more than enough A/C capacity to keep the house chill inside. A great large backyard surrounded by trees. Nice place.

Clean farmhouse
This is definitely an old farmhouse but was clean and included all needed supplies.

Very cozy farm house
The only issue we had was the hot tub was not hot the first night and the lights don't work in it so it was pretty dark, which was ok because the stars are amazing.

Weekend family getaway
The house was clean and very spacious. It was equipped with everything we needed. Great location… close enough to everything we wanted to do. We needed a late arrival on a Friday night which was not an issue at all. Communication with the owners was excellent. When we are back in the area we will definitely be booking the same house or at least something from the same owners.

Christmas stay
The Laurel Run Farmhouse was a great place for our family Christmas. It was so sweet that the house was decorated for the holidays and the Christmas tree was a wonderful touch. It was a good location and we explored the area including Athens, Nelsonville, Cedar Falls, Ash Cave and Old Man Cave. The house was cozy and had great kitchen and ample space for everyone to hang out We enjoyed the hot tub too. Thanks for making a memorable holiday for us at Hocking Hills!

Nice Basic Rental House
House was older and did show its age in a few different ways. But provided us with everything needed for a quick family trip. Pretty quiet in the house and around even with traffic coming by on the road. Perfect house for an inexpensive no frills relaxing trip.

Great property, needs hot tub repairs
The property was great, unfortunately after a long day of hiking the hot tub didn’t work. Had the hot tub been in working order it would have been perfect.

Nice place
We had a great time. Loved the fire pit area. We spent a lot of time by the fire. There is everything you need to cook if you want. If you want to get food you'll have to pick it up. We had no luck getting delivery.

Fit Our Needs for the Weekend
The house was fine, in a good location, close to parks, fishing, outdoor activities. This house is a little worn, but clean and comfortable. There were a issues with the hot tub not being clean and maintained, and there were wasps and hornets nesting it.
