Rockin' Rhody is a 5 bedroom, 2 bath craftsman style home in Rhododendron that can sleep 12 people comfortably. This home has 1 king bed, 3 queens and 3 sets of bunks. Free WIFI, 2 smart TV's and a beautiful stone fireplace.

This is a perfect home for ski camps, family reunions and corporate retreats. Close to the Zig Zag River, hiking trails and the village which features a grocery store, post office, two coffee shops & several local restaurants. You are only a few miles away from Government Camp and another few miles to Timberline Lodge and Mt Hood Meadows. Walk to ZigZag River and hiking trails. Be sure to try out the hot tub after an adventure filled day on the slopes or exploring the area and enjoy preparing dinner on the gas grill.

This is a pet friendly property, you don't have to leave your furry friend home. There is a $60 pet fee per pet.

Just right for us

Nice property, comfy furniture and beds. Kitchen was well stocked for family meals.We enjoyed ourselves.

Our group of 10 had a great time. Plenty of large spaces, outside and in, plus tons of outdoor activities nearby. Fun stay close to the mountain. Will definitely rent this place again.

Our family annual Christmas in February!

Each year our kids, their spouses and our 7 grandkids go to Mt. Hood so they can Snowboard and ski . Although we do get together at Christmas time - this trip is the bulk of the gifts we give to them . This year we chose to stay here - and everyone said this was the best place yet ! Good location(though I felt a little close to hey 26 - BUT that can be a plus cause then you don’t have far to drive on snowy back roads . Nice hot tub in a forested setting . We had a great time

Great place for family or friends

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Relaxed, comfortable and well equipped lodging. The house is approximately 10 miles from Government Camp (near Ski Bowl, Mt. Hood Meadows and Timberline Lodge. Short stroll to small village store, coffee stand and Mountainology for rental gear including snowshoes and cross country skis.

Nice place but lots of road noise

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is nestled in the woods just a few yards from highway 26. It looks like you're in the wilds of Oregon but sounds like a freeway rest stop. Beds are comfy. House is clean and well equipped. Lots of beds for a large party. Tried to get a late checkout on Sunday but no one answered the phone and the office was closed.

I was very disappointed

The house had inappropriate heater’s, it was so cold down stairs, it never heated up the entire time we were there, the heater in living room, one side blew out warm air and the other side cold air, the one in dining room barely worked, they were so full of dust. We had to buy wood, presto log’s and had to have our son bring wood with him, and still barely kept it warm, that’s also with the fireplace blowing out smoke, there was mold on the shower curtain in the down stairs bathroom, there was some kind of knocking noise coming from the meter that went off every couple of minutes that was going off the entire time, you could hear it in the kitchen and the bedrooms up stairs. We were told there was enough wood for 3 days for a fire for a couple of hours each day, there was about 6 or 7 pieces of wood with some smaller pieces to start, the wood was totally wet green wood that wouldn’t even burn, we would have just left, but we have Christmas with our kids a week early so they can have Christmas with their family. We literally had to keep bundled up and have blankets on us, the blankets smelled stell, I have never rented a place that never heated up. I would think that someone had to know of this problem. I have never been So Disappointed.

Rockin Rhody Retreat-Did not meet expectations

While the roads were clear, including the road on which the home is located, the long driveway was covered with snow and it is initially steep. We had a 4 wheel drive, but two of the families had family vans. So, to navigate the driveway, they had to put on chains and then take them off as they hit the road. When we called, after we arrived, we were advised they were trying to get the driveway plowed, but it would be the next morning. However, even when plowed, because the driveway is dirt and not all snow could be removed, the vans still required chains to get up the driveway to Arlie Mitchell Road (which was clear like the highway) and then remove chains to drive to and on the highway. (We did thankfully get permission from the office to park one van by a local business, but that was still inconvenient since it was about 1/2 mile away). Otherwise there is no parking on the road approaching the driveway. It should be advertised that, in Winter, a 4 wheel drive or traction devices may be required to negotiate the driveway even when all roads are clear. If we had known this, we would not have rented this house. We arrived at the appointed time, but the house cleaners were still cleaning for the next 45 minutes. They were excellent, worked diligently, and left the house especially clean. But, we were delayed in settling in and preparing our holiday dinner. The house is somewhat rustic and very noisy. When one person coughed or opened bedroom or bathroom doors during the night, it could be heard in the other upstairs bedrooms. In the summer, the road noise would be very disconcerting. In the winter, with the windows closed, the road noise could be tolerated. We wish we had been advised that the controls for the upstairs shower were reversed...we initially thought they only had cold water!!! The dining room was very handy for our group of 11. The kitchen is rather small in terms of counter and storage space and did not accommodate group food prep and all the extra food we brought. We appreciated the large refrigerator. We liked the fireplace and they left ample wood for our use. This home could work more if people were skiing every day, for example, ate out or simply, and came back to crash. For our "Winter Family Vacation" purposes, we like a home that is warm and inviting and a special place to "hang out" and visit and eat!!!

Charming cabin in the beautiful old growth of Mt Hood. There is some traffic noise and the fireplace is pretty smokey but I can't complain. It was a great place to stay.

The property was perfect for our purpose. We didn't have a chance to enjoy the hot tub but definitely enjoyed the home. Very well located for access to everything in the Mt Hood and Columbia River. Thank you so much!

Our stay was nice. Layout of the house is great (primarily bedrooms upstairs but one downstairs). Kitchen is for tall people. Lots of equipment, but supplies like hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper not enough for a week. When I mentioned this privately to the management, she said I should’ve called and they would have brought more over.

Hard Pass on this property

The first night we stayed saw live mice in the kitchen with lots of evidence of mouse poop everywhere. The next morning caught two mice. Called the property manager at 8 am and they didn’t fix anything until 1 in the afternoon. Was extremely dismissive about the whole thing until the maintenance guy took the caught mice to her physically. Then they transferred us to another place that was great but it was hectic and gross. Also had structure issues with soft wobbly steps that were hard for people with movement problems. Only way up and down stairs was a very narrow and steep staircase. Doors don’t latch or stay shut. Don’t stay here select another property

Nice getaway

It was a lovely place to stay and the location was absolutely beautiful. The host did not respond when we asked them questions during the duration of the stay, but they were communicative before hand. Overall a nice visit

Great large family cabin

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rockin Rhody Retreat cabin is an excellent choice for a large family: plenty of bedrooms, large dining & kitchen, spacious living area with lovely fireplace, laundry, and a wonderful hot tub! The cabin is located close to all that Mt. Hood outdoor recreation has to offer, plus access to an elaborate network of trails right from the cabin. It is also pet friendly which is important to our family. The only downsides to the cabin were the proximity to the very busy highway, worn out living room furniture and mattresses (uncomfortable), and a few times we had to unclog toilets. The weather was super rainy during our stay so we did not spend time out on the deck or yard area which made the proximity to the highway acceptable. Non of these were deal breakers for us. We enjoyed our week long stay!

Sibling Reunion

Place was perfect for our get together. Close to the stores if you need more of something or forget it. Awesome trails all around you. We had a problem with the carbon monoxide alarm going off due to low battery and the office staff was attentive and quick to address the issue.

Great Option for a Group!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rockin Rhody is set back in the woods, giving it a private and rustic feel while also being close to many amenities (Village Market, many restaurants, more!). We had a group of seven adults, and there was plenty of room for all of us to stay and move around. The house is clean, comfortable, and quiet (outside of some highway noise). It was too hot to use the hot tub, but we peeked at it and it looked great as well.

Great house for a large group!

We really enjoyed staying here. Lots of sleeping room, private, hot tub. There is some road noise bc it’s close to a road but that didn’t bother us.

Rockin Rhody Richter Get-Away

The cabin was in a beautiful location close to Government Camp, Ski Bowl and Timberline. The cabin was warm and fireplace was a very nice amenity. The cabin was well supplied with all amenities. Great time had by all!

Family friends perfect home

The forest the house is in is gorgeous. The hot tub site under the trees next to the house and works great. Wonderful Property! Pictures don’t do it justice!

Our stay was amazing! We had a handful of friends celebrating my partner’s birthday and this home was perfect. Plenty of beds for people to sleep, a large living room for games and conversation. A beautiful backyard with easy access to hiking and the town. Would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for an stress-free getaway!

Great Family Cabin

A great place to get away and relax with the family. The dining room comfortably sat all eight of us for meals. There was a good variety of kitchen ware and small appliances available for use. More food storage in the kitchen would be appreciated for those of us who really like to cook big family meals. Overall a very comfortable layout.
