House is in a great location with direct beach access. Perfectly situated within close driving range to Hale'iwa town and multiple food truck and beautiful beaches.

One of the best weeks we have ever had! The property is incredible. We arrived and the bushes were covering the ocean view, unlike the property pictures. I asked if they would have a gardener come trim them, and they had someone over in less than 24 hours to trim so we could see the ocean view. After staying here, we've decided we'll be visiting multiple times a year. Thanks!

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Hale Kai is a wonderful memory now. The beds were a little on the soft side, but otherwise we had a fun, sunny, relaxing week. (Wish it was two!) We especially loved visits from the roving kitty, Pookie. She was special and I miss her!

The perfect slice of heaven! The house was surprisingly spacious and the location can not be beat!! We had a wonderful stay and every member of our party got exactly what they wanted (even those that love the ocean but hate sand and water). The property manager was responsive and proactive, providing us with everything we needed. I cannot recommend this property enough!

Perfect family gathering

My sons and partners enjoyed easy beach and surf access, cooking meals together, relaxing in the beautiful communal areas and yard. Lovely place!

Great Neighborhood and View

House was in a great location and quiet neighborhood. Staying right on the beach was amazing. Check in process was easy and when we arrived it felt like a home away from home. My family and I made so many wonderful memories. Would come back again.

The beach is the luxury item here...we saw so much SEALIFE right outside our back door!! The house comfortably fit our family. This time of yr is busy busy so expext traffic in and out of the neighborhood.

We absolutely loved our time here! The location is fantastic, and the property is exactly as pictured—no surprises. The real highlight is the incredible view; it's truly breathtaking and we spent so much time just enjoying it.The home is comfortable and cozy. As the pictures show, it's not a luxury rental, but that was perfectly clear and absolutely fine with us. It was exactly what we needed for a great trip. Highly recommend!

This house was PERFECT!! The 3 rooms-two bath made it just right for our group. Being able to sit on the deck and watch everyone swim and so relaxing. Location was a great central location for all the activities we did. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking to visit Honolulu!

Easy pick up of keys friedly communication with property manager. House is dated but in fair condition, Outdoor table, umbrella stand and chair were broken and black mold visible inside of house.

Amazing views! Nice home. Didn’t have any issues with anything. They pretty much have everything you need. We loved our stay (one week). I would probably just get a new cleaning crew. I used to own a cleaning company and those showers just need a real good cleaner, windows and door rails also need a good cleaning but other than that no complains. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family vacation

Everything was great, except the pictures on the listing for the beach right outside the backdoor is not what you get, pics on listing need updating so people know what they're actually getting. Terribly disappointed there was nothing but rocks, that was one of the reasons why I booked the property because of the sandy beach right outside your backdoor as the pics showed.

Thank you for the review and for staying with us. Hale Kai is really an amazing place! Yes, the North Shore's beaches are very dynamic and erosion can happen very quickly, even within days, depending on the currents and swell direction. This summer was unusually hard on the beach in front of Hale Kai, but the beach tends to return most years. Thank you for bringing this to our attention because we don't always walk down to the beach when we inspect the home between stays. We did add two photos taken in August 2022 to this listing, but the sand had already started filling back in. There is a public right of way to another stretch of sandy beach not far from the home, for future reference. We look forward to hosting you again!

Family vacation

Place was just like the pictures showed. Steps lead down to beach but it is rocky however just a few houses down either direction makes for good beach areas. Not crowded at all. We went in the water every day. Was so convenient. Not a lot of air flow in the 2 kids bedrooms but the master was good. Kids ended up sleeping in the living room and kept all their stuff in the bedrooms. Would stay here again.

Paradise

I can’t even begin to list all of the beautiful memories our family made during our 2-week stay at Hale Kai. The house was clean, ideally located on a beautiful stretch of beach, private and comfortable. We highly recommend checking out all of the delicious pastries at PaaLaa Kai Bakery in Waialua, any burger at Seven Brother’s Burgers and breakfast bombers at Kono’s in Hale’iwa. For excursions, we highly recommend locally owned and operated Haleiwa’s Shark Tours and any extracurricular activity at Kualoa Ranch. We’ll be back! Mahalo!
