Ocean House #1405 is an interior gulf-front 2 bedroom 2 bath condominium on the 4th floor in building I overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 1000 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room and gulf-side master bedroom. The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with a washer and dryer. There are 2 full baths with either a tub/shower combo or a stand-alone shower. The gulf-side master bathroom is accessed via the bedroom and hallway. The street-side bedroom has an attached bathroom with a stand-up shower. King, Queen, Sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6.

Ocean House I and II are 9-story buildings with 6 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Ocean House has a large seasonal zero-entry outdoor pool and a small kiddie pool. The property also has a grilling area that services both buildings I and II. Minimum age required: 23. King, Queen, Sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6.

Parking passes are purchased on-site at Ocean House at the guard house or office located in building I - CASH ONLY. There is a maximum of 2 parking passes per unit and the cost is set by the association and is subject to change at any time without notice.

STAY AND PLAY

This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including; golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

This was our first time renting thru Vrbo. Everyone was friendly. The unit supplied everything we needed. The view of the beach was absolutely gorgeous.

Location was absolutely amazing! Pool (THE BEST POOL!) right off balcony, and beach just steps away as well. Everything you need in a condo, and close to everything in town as well. Love having our own bathroom in each bedroom. Condo was a wee bit smaller than I thought, but large enough for our 4 day vacation of 3 adults and 3 kids. TV didn't work 99% of the trip... but small glitch for the experience! We would book this condo again!

Very nice place. Plenty of parking. Easy access to pool and beach. A/C went down and was fixed in just a few hours. Very quick response on all questions.

Great vaca

This was a great place to stay. Condo was very clean & easy to get to. We really enjoyed our stay. Just wish we could have stayed longer. We will definitely book again!!

The elevator broke 2 times while we were there. The pool got shut down due to broken glass in the pool. Not enough seating on the balcony for 6 people. Was not informed parking was not included or that it cost so much. We were not aware motorcycle parking was not accommodated or permitted. We rode our bike and was not aware of the rule.

Overall good getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, we noticed the unit has an older smell, not bad, just different. Maybe the water because the bathrooms had it all week. BUT large balcony, good location and easy walk to the beach. The staff at the condo were all nice and they were constantly working to keep everything looking good. We would stay here again. Never received checkout instructions so we did basic checkout things. Thankfully the checkout time was on one of the emails sent prior to checking in.

Condo was cute and well stocked! Some of the dishes weren't clean, but we washed whatever we needed before use. Ceilings were streaked with what I'm assuming is mold from high humidity. Host was easy to communicate with when we told them the garbage disposal wasnt working (leaving the right side of the sink stopped up and slow draining). We just used the left side of the sink. Beds were comfy, all linens were clean and fresh! The view from the balcony was amazing. As a short term rental cleaner, I'm pretty particular on where we stay. Would stay again if the ceilings were fixed! Biggest downfall was directions on which building we were in and which floor our condo was located on. Had to pay 40 for on site parking and ask the gate keeper which building/floor we were on. Might not hurt to include those tidbits in check in info!! Also, the extra door lock is on its last leg... time for an update. Family of 5 slept comfortably, youngest made a pallet on the floor with cushions from the couch and used the extra blankets and pillows provided.

We are so sorry you stayed in a unit that was affected. We have been working so hard to get the HOA of that building to do proper pest control. The problem does seem to be getting better but we are still apologetic. -Gulf Shores Rentals

One complaint was it really needed some moping of the tile floors. I know you can’t get around sand , vacuum it. But it needs a serious mopping.

Good first experience

The bathtub faucets definitely need to be replaced in the master bathroom as they look like they had a lot of black mold in them, but everything else was super clean. The pool for the joint ocean houses needs to be cleaned a lot more thoroughly as that water in the middle was pretty disgusting almost every day arpund the edges and there was a lot of mold in a lot of areas as well.

Moldy condo

This property has a serious mold problem. This unit should not be available for rent until it is remedied. It’s a known problem yet they continue to rent the unit. The management company was very helpful, found us a new unit and we were appreciative. But it is bad business to continue to offer this unit. Do what you need to fix it.

Air Conditioning vent in master bathroom dripped water so floor was constantly wet. Satellite would not connect in either bedroom. Couldn't lock patio doors. Washing Machine made extremely loud noise so couldn't wash clothes. Mold/Mildew on ceilings in every room. Was not worth the price I paid.

We had a wonderful stay at the Ocean House condos. We loved the zero entry pool and the bench seat in the pool with the waterfall feature. The condo was a great size and very well laid out. Our only complaint (as it were) was that it would have been nice to have some umbrella's around the pool area to be able to get out of the sun. The pergola's at each end of the pool were nice but they weren't always available to use. We loved the being right on the water and the proximity to the beach was great. We will definitely be going back again!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: While the unit was old, it was clean.
