Beautiful mountain cabin 5 minutes from Pinecrest Lake. Two bedroom, two bath, sleeps 6. Outside deck with BBQ, fireplace, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, microwave, coffee maker. Open floor plan for great family space. And large downstairs great for the kiddos to play.

Cabin is not set up for all day lounging, cabin is ideal for those looking to spend their daily activities outside exploring the mountains and lakes.

This is a mountain cabin in the Stanislaus National Forest, full of outdoor opportunities for hiking, swimming and exploring.
This cabin is a great place to unwind, unplug and enjoy the sweet smell of the forest. Part of mountain cabin life is an element of bugs and dirt as well as peace and serenity.

We do allow you to bring one family dog, but ask that it be trained and no puppies. Please do not leave your pet alone at anytime. As a pet owner myself I know how nice it is to be able to take your fur friend to the lake and out walking, we hope that in offering you this opportunity that you return the kind gesture and be responsible for your pet and respectful to the cabin.

Great Quaint Getaway

We had the best time as a family. It is so close to Doge Ridge and perfect for a family to stay. It does not have wifi or a tv, but we brought our own games and played and had fun.

Great

We have been here many times and it works great for our family!!! Plenty of room upstairs and downstairs plus plenty of seating with open kitchen to living room. We will be back!!!

This Property It's great for family And a couple extra friends. Don't Let the 2 bedroom fool you A family of 4 can easily sleep downstairs with their own private bathroom. Lots of Seating upstairs and a great fireplace. We have been here Several times and we will be back.

IT WORKED!!!

The cabin was just right for what we needed - kitchen was stocked nicely- a few general updates would be nice - also cleaning the pillows on the couch and maybe shampooing the carpets. It was especially nice to find a decent place that allowed pets!!!

Not our best VRBO experience

Great location. Beautiful deck but unfortunately we were unable to use it due to no functional furniture. The tables and chairs were all rickety, falling apart or the cushions chewed up. Indoors is a dining table with one chair. There were a few broken chairs in the corners of the room. Folding chairs were provided but sit too low to be comfortable. One of the kitchen drawers will fall onto the floor if you’re not careful. There were other issues but I’ll leave it by saying the cabin is in a great location and with some attention and TLC it can easily be improved upon.

Cold spring home

The house was good, but there was a minor heat wave and I understand no AC since this hot weather is not usual, but it will be in the future. The windows had no blinds, so the house got extremely hot. It was miserable. I realize the heat is going to be a problem in the future, something needs to be done.

Great location, nice floor plan, could use some love

My family of four stayed here for 3 nights the end of December. It's very easy to get to, especially if there's a lot of snow (which unfortunately, we didn't have). The check-in/check-out process was simple. The cabin had already been opened up, so the water was turned on, which made it extra easy. We liked the layout of the bedrooms and bathrooms. The living area is huge, which is great for playing games and relaxing. The downstairs is also very spacious and my two boys enjoyed sleeping down there. The deck was beautiful. Everything was quite dirty. Even the plastic dish drying rack was corroded with muck and spider webs. Half the dishes in the cabinet were sticky, so we washed every dish we wanted to use. The kitchen was relatively well stocked, except for useful frying pans. All the frying pans were in pretty bad shape -- the Teflon peeling off, etc. So, bring your own frying pan if you want to fry eggs. We scrubbed a lot at check-out time, even dusted some windowsills -- and left the place much cleaner than when we got there. But for the price, house cleaning should be included because typical renters do not do a thorough job. For the high price, not clean, bring your own sheets/towels we gave it 3 stars.

Relaxing place to stay

The house is in good condition. Appropriate for a cabin in the mountains. I liked the attention of the owner, very attentive. in general everything was very good. We had a very relaxing weekend. Just a small detail. The house needs a deep cleaning so we saw a lot of cobwebs in the corners. Thank you Barbara for everything.

So simple & relaxing!

We loved our stay. Spent our days up the hill at pinecrest. relaxed on the deck in morning and evenings with coffee. had a great time playing games with the family!

Great Stay

We booked last minute for a family getaway and Barbara was great at accommodating that request. The cabin is very close to the lake and easy to access from the HWY. We’d definitely stay there again.

Great Location-Kids loved it but outdated

The house has great space, especially with kids since they can take over the lower 2nd bedroom which is large. Main issue is that the house is very outdated as far as furniture, curtains, pillows etc. Would be nice to get a mini refresher of all of those items. The kitchen and bathroom cabinets could use a coat of paint as well to modernize it. Also, the thermostat on the heaters are either on or off so it was tough to keep an even temperature without constantly monitoring it. The best think about the house really is the gorgeous fireplace and the deck which we used everyday. If you are looking for a ski rental, where you are on the mountain most of the time, then this could work fine.

Well stocked cabin close to Dodge Ridge

This cabin was a great homebase for skiing at Dodge Ridge, the location is excellent! The layout is great for groups of friends or multiple families, and the kitchen was well stocked. It’s a rather large space and was very comfortable for us. The large beds were comfortable, but the twin beds were rather uncomfortable. In spite of that, we would definitely stay again!

A few problems: Vacuum beater brush broken so did not work, deck light does not work, several windows without screens which made cooling off the house a challenge. Kitchen was wonderful!

Comfy ski/lake cabin

Great place to unplug, access Dodge Ridge & Pinecrest, and enjoy the mountains. A great price, especially if you're willing to clean up after yourself. Kid- and dog-friendly. Like most mountain cabins, there are stairs involved, to keep in mind for bringing toddlers or elders. Luckily, there are upstairs and downstairs bedrooms & bathrooms, and the kitchen, living/dining room, and deck are all at entrance level (the upstairs). As described by the owner & reviews so far. On our list for a return visit!

Very convenient to stores and Dodge ridge and strawberry. The housekeeper we hired was very helpful. This was our second time staying there and it works for our family.

Great home

This is a really comfortable, cozy home. It is perfect for families. We are a family of four that travels with our dogs. We loved the 2 levels and the big room downstairs. The whole wrap around couch upstairs would make a nice bed also. The home was clean, super comfortable and had a ton of blankets and pillows and everything we could possibly need in the kitchen as well. It is really well stocked with basic household stuff. All the cleaning supplies you could possibly need are there as well as the basics such as coffee filters spices etc. The location is fabulous. We just walked across the highway to the little store for anything we wanted. The host was super nice and we would love to stay there again.

Nice cozy cabin right off of 108, easy to get to.

The cabin was nicer than we expected from the pictures. Very big open living room with nice deck. The cabin is older and was generally clean, a few spider webs here and there but pretty normal for a cabin. The location is great, right off of 108 and near Cold Springs little store. Although, the only set back was no WiFi as we did not have cell reception either but we were aware of that before renting. Overall would rent again.

Absolutey Amazing

Cozy Cabin

The cabin was easy to find and very comfortable. We loved the floor plan, it was built with cozy in mind, and very convenient to Pinecrest. The cabin was neat, but was a bit outdated. The only con we have was the BBQ. We brought some nice meat to grill for our meals but found the BBQ propane was completely empty. We immediately notified the owner by email for some type of resolution, but the delayed response was non accommodating, and non sympathetic. We had to use the oven in 90 degree heat, and decided after the first day to dine out and take the meat back home. We still had a great time and would return again, but the BBQ thing was a bummer.
