Our multigenerational, hard to please family thought this was a great beach house. Belmar is the quintessential beach town and the house is right in the middle of it all. It’s literally a ten minute walk to the beach and to the all-important (to my grandchildren) Dunkin’ and Playa Bowl stores. The neighborhood is very residential and we enjoyed walking to different playgrounds that kept the younger kids occupied when we weren’t at the beach. The house itself is just what you want from a beach house. Nothing lavish, so you’re not afraid to play the games in the living room, but really comfortable and roomy. We were eight people, an infant, and a dog, and we were not in each other's way. The kids loved having their own room with a bunk bed. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen and bathrooms have been updated. The kitchen has everything you need, except, as it turned out, a working can opener. Easily fixed. Our hosts left two books with pictures of Belmar’s history and my grandson and I had lots of fun walking the boardwalk and imagining exactly where the big hotels that once lined Ocean Avenue were situated. So when I discovered the photo in the stairway to the basement of this house’s first days, it was a real treat. We felt like we were part of historic Belmar. Our host, Tiffany, couldn't have been nicer. She answered texts quickly and helped make the stay hassle free. Thanks, Tiffany!
