The Chalets A-Frames are iconic, romantic, cozy and comfortable with two queen bed sleeping areas and one full bath. Arranged along the ridge of a hill, each A-Frames has a private deck with hot tub, grill and view into mature woods. Their vaulted open-concept living areas include a kitchenette, dining for four, fire place, flat-screen tv, exposed beams and lots of light. And every one is pet-friendly*! The A-Frames are at the Chalets' Old Man's Cave location of 140 acres, 31 cabins, pool, firepits, SaunaPods, electric vehicle charging stations, office and neighboring General Store. It sits two miles from the epicenter of the region: Hocking Hills State Park visitors center.

The place was so cute and picturesque. The back patio had a wonderful hot tub with a forest behind you. It was pretty hot when we checked in and there was a note that said we were not allowed to lower the AC below 72 because it could make the ac unit freeze or something. (We paid a lot for one night in this place. With all the people that stay in these places, I'm sure they have the means to fix the issue.) The people were very nice tho and even took the time to drop off fans to us. When we walked in, it smelled very strong of mildew. We opened the only (2) windows that could be opened to air the place out. Lastly, any cheap hotel ive stayed at has complementary coffee and creamer in the room. They had a coffee maker, but no coffee or creamer or tea or anything at all. There is no store or restaurant in walking distance so you have to drive if you want to actually use the coffee maker. They had beautiful barrell saunas outside the units. But, you had to pay like 100 to use them. Why arent these included in our stay?

Central location to see Hocking Hills State Park

This place was perfect for our stay. This was our first time visiting Hocking Hill State Park and I can tell you that really wherever you stay anywhere around the park, you’re gonna be doing some driving going to each of the different attractions. But this place was perfect for seeing all of Hocking Hills State Park. Beds were comfortable was clean very quiet area and the hot tub was a bonus. The email that we received prior to our stay said that to bring your own soap and shampoo. When we arrived, there was soap and shampoo in the shower in a dispenser hanging on the wall, and they also provided hand soap in the bathroom. Would recommend and I would stay again.

Kitchen overall was little smaller than thought making little more difficult for some meal planned out. The refrigerator was smaller than anticipated even reading bring coolers which we did didn’t realize actually a hotel style mini fridge. Grill location was near under some pine trees lots of dead pine needles falling around for us made a little nervous using open flames with that many all over. Trees expected and looked nice providing shade just loose needles and open flames with cabins close we chose not to use grill as personal choice possibly over cautious on our part. Very minor issues other than those 2 things. Very clean very nice with hot tub and great water and water pressure. Would definitely recommend trying out the a frame cabins at a reasonable cost won’t break bank. Property very easy to navigate with pool area very clean and accessible. Would like to have seen pool hours open little longer with daylight longer during summer.

A-Frame in the Hocking Hills

The property was very nice. The shower was especially good. Bathroom was spacious but really needed a stand by the sink to set things on. The bedrooms were comfortable but they each need a small waste basket in them. You have to walk to the kitchen or bathroom to throw an item away. Also, the upstairs loft was very nice but it definitely needs a stand with a lamp in order to have a place to put a book, pair of glasses, or Kleenex box on. Maybe a rack to hang clothing on like the one in the downstairs bedroom would be great for the loft, too. The only major problem we had was no Internet or phone the whole time we were there. Since the person did not show up to fix it, they were kind enough to say they would refund the $15 fee. All in all, the cabin was nice and I would recommend people to take advantage of the beauty of the area.

More than we expected

Well maintained, clean property with all the necessary commodities for a short stay. I was surprised to find a peeler, potato masher and a can opener when I checked the drawers. Very understanding and helpful staff. Chalets definitely provided a positive experience during our trip. Will be returning in the future. Thanks

Hikes and stuff

Nice time hot tub was great not really thrilled over the TV service or the wyfy...enjoyed the hiking in the parks weather was great stars beautiful. We will come back

A frame

Beautiful setting. Cooking area needs renovation so you don’t hit your head on microwave while trying to use the close quarters of two hotplates. Cushioned furniture very old and uncomfortable

Great spot in the woods

Cute little cabin in the woods. Kids loved the loft and hot tub! Bring paper towels though — they are not included.
