Beautiful Chalet With Mountain Views located 1 mile from Glacier National Park

Relax & enjoy panoramic mountain views in a custom designed chalet completed in 2015 just one mile from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. You will find this charming getaway secluded on 10 acres of private property with modern amenities & easy access to the farmer's market, grocers & several local eateries. Walk to the Glacier Wilderness Guides to book a day of whitewater rafting, guided hiking, and/or horseback riding.

One of 5 spacious chalets with stunning mountain views just minutes from Glacier National Park. This 1500 square foot chalet has 2 bedrooms plus a loft, with a queen size sleep sofa downstairs. This is a perfect place for two couples or families. It also has a washer/dryer, walkout patio, and family room. The main floor has a master bedroom with queen bed, full bathroom, full kitchen, dining table, and large walkout deck and BBQ grill. There is a loft with a couch and coffee table; a great spot to read or relax. We recently upgraded the internet and now have 10 MB of high speed!

Relax on the deck and watch the alpenglow sunset over Strawberry, Chocolate drop and Dessert mountain.

Great location!

This is such a great location for Glacier National Park! There was plenty of room to spread out and our teenage son had the whole basement to himself! Highly recommend this Rental!

Great location to all things on West side of Glacier National Park. The house was clean and just as described. We especially appreciated a good basic supply of things like detergent, dishwashing soap, and basic kitchen things. Could use more flatware in the kitchen btw

We were there for the occasion of my son's wedding and it was perfect! The chalet was clean and comfortable and included all we needed to settle in. Detailed information sheets were so helpful. We highly recommend the Chalet's at Going to The Sun!!

Beautiful view of the sunrise

We loved staying in this chalet! It’s very close to the Glacier National Park entrance. The views around the Chalet are beautiful. It was clean and very cozy!

Excellent!

Beautiful townhouse super nice and close to Glacier Park main entrance. It was very quiet when we stayed in the beginning of September. Very well appointed..we would certainly stay here again!

Location, Location, Location!!!!

If you’re planning to spend any time on the east side of Glacier National Park, this is the place! There are only 5 chalets here so it’s really quiet and peaceful. All the amenities you’ll need for your home away from home. The host was outstanding!

Wonderful stay in West Glacier

We (2 adults) stayed 3 nights at Going to the Sun Chalet. The house was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. We bought groceries in Columbia Falls and Hungry Horse and had everything we needed to make simple meals at home. The house also had a washer and dryer, which we ended up using. The property is a 10-minute drive to Glacier National Park's west entrance and a 20-minute drive to Columbia Falls. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the area.

Chalet near Glacier

The property is beautiful. The chalet was spotless and well appointed. Most importantly the property manager has gone above and beyond to accommodate us with our ever changing travel plans. She has been a gem. I highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

Beautiful

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet! It was beautiful, quiet and conveniently Located close to the West park entrance. Having a grill was great and full kitchen was a plus. Beds were comfortable. The host answered all questioned quickly prior to our arrival and communication for contactless entry was very well written for arrival. Great experience beautiful chalet!

Great Place

Everything was great. We pretty much just slept there and left. One thing I would had been a little happier about is having more blankets available. We had 6 people, but 3 of them were kids who don’t want to sleep together. There were no extra blanket’s or pillows available. It obviously doesn’t change my rating, it is just a suggestion.

Glacier Getaway

My wife and I stayed for 4 nights to visit Glacier National Park for our anniversary. The chalet is perfectly located near the park. The only issues I had were as follows. First the downstairs patio door had no curtain ( it appeared the door had been repaired and they didn’t get the curtains back up) secondly the kitchen was scarcely furnished ( the pot holder had a hole in it making using the oven hard to use and their wasn’t much of normal amenities salt/pepper, plastic wrap etc). We had a great experience so these little things did not distract

Great Place... except for the beds

The chalet was conveniently located right outside Glacier National Park, clean and as described. Communications with owner were great and she provided excellent suggestions on things to do. Unfortunately, after a day of long hiking a great night of sleep was desired. Unfortunately the beds were hard as rocks and squeaked anytime you moved on them. Even if you like hard beds, the noise woke you up. It was really unfortunate that a great place left this poor experience - that would tell us not to recommend it until the beds are replaced.

Beautiful Chalet's

Our recent stay at Going to the Sun Chalets surpassed all our expectations. The captivating views of Glacier National Park and the surrounding mountains immediately drew us in upon arrival. We had booked two chalets, Chalet A - Chocolate Drop and Chalet C - Canadian.Both chalets were a perfect blend of comfort and luxury. The attention to detail in the cozy furnishings and well-appointed kitchen made us feel right at home. The seamless design of the chalets complemented the natural beauty of Montana's wilderness.The location of Going to the Sun Chalets couldn't have been more ideal, being only a mile away from Glacier National Park's west entrance. This proximity allowed us to explore the park's trails, encounter wildlife, and marvel at the awe-inspiring landscapes. Returning to the chalets after a day of adventure was both convenient and delightful.While it's worth mentioning that the chalets had only one bathroom, which could be a slight inconvenience for larger groups, it didn't detract from the outstanding experience we had at Going to the Sun Chalets. The captivating views, comfortable accommodations, and exceptional service far outweighed this minor aspect.As frequent visitors of luxury suites in Las Vegas, we can confidently say that our stay in these chalets surpassed many of those experiences. It truly was an unforgettable retreat, hidden amidst the splendor of Glacier National Park.In conclusion, we wholeheartedly give Going to a five-star rating.

Great Stay in Glacier National Park!

The property was perfect for our family. It was right around the corner for the park's west entrance which was an awesome place to enter the park and get the shuttle. There were a couple of things that I wish we knew before our stay: 1. The household products that were available at the house. We bought toilet paper, laundry detergent, dish soap, etc. All of these were available at the house, but I couldn't find that information in the house description before our stay (thank you for having these items!). I just wished we hadn't bought them. 2. I wish there were extra towels/linens. We used the pullout coach as a bed (which was used by one of our kids, I don't think it would be comfortable for an adult to sleep on, it was very lumpy and no support. However, our small child was fine on it). There was only one extra sheet set and I had to look for extra pillow cases in the drawers. I actually had to was them because they smelled. Those were minor details for us. Otherwise the house was well-taken care of and we were very happy with our stay. Thank you!
