The Hillside House located 8 miles from west entrance to Glacier National Park

Hillside House is a bright, airy, and cheerful home located on 8 wooded acres and close to open meadows. The highway to Glacier Park less than two miles away via paved county road so you can enjoy Montana's quiet tranquility after a day of exploring. The home features a large kitchen/dining area, a living room with a gas fireplace, and a master suite with a large walk-in shower. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed and desk and the third bedroom features a bunk bed, XL single on the top and queen size on the bottom. The main bathroom has a shower and there is a powder room located off the laundry.

For the first time in serveral years, the Hillside House will be available for rent by the month from October through May. Take that break you have always dreamed of and spend a few months, or the whole winter, enmeshed in the tranquility of a Montana winter. Please send us an inquiry if interested in pursuing.

Fantastic stay

House was immaculate, owner was extremely generous and a great communicator. The location was perfect to get between Kalispell and the Park. For the value, you can’t beat this house!

Location, location, location!

This is a very nice home just a short drive to the park. Kate is very responsive and available for any questions you might have. Well stocked kitchen and plenty of soaps, detergents, towels. We even saw a herd of elk nearby! We definitely recommend this place! Thanks Kate!

Perfect for family

The location of the house was great while we were visiting Glacier National Park. The house had everything we needed and was extremely clean. Kate was very responsive in her communication. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Place for Family of 5

Kate’s place was perfect for our family vacation of 5 adults. It was a quick drive to Glacier National Park and to many restaurants and shops. Place was clean and comfortable. Definitely recommend!

Great home in a private setting

We loved staying here and enjoyed the serenity of the area. We even saw a black bear when we first arrived! The owners were very nice as well. Very close to the park as well. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect spot for our group!

We stayed for Memorial Day 2024 with 6 adults and 1 infant. It was the perfect space for us to enjoy the weekend. Both the indoor and outdoor spaces were lovely and well kept. It was nice to be able to explore the property and watch hummingbirds. The proximity to the park was very convenient. Host was very communicative. We would definitely book this place for a small group again!

Great house in an amazing location

The property and house were beautiful and had everything we could need. Just eight miles outside of the west entrance of Glacier National Park, it was a great home base for visiting the park for a few days. Kate was a great host and had lots of recommendations for us. Would definitely stay again!

Great house close to Glacier

This was a great stay for our trip to Glacier. Plenty of space, comfy beds, awesome showers. We took advantage of the stocked kitchen and made our own meals. The property manager was helpful and responsive. Would stay here again.

Our family loved this beautiful home close to Glacier National Park. It is well maintained, very clean, and a joy to come "home" to each evening. The owner is very responsive and helpful. We could not have been more happy with our stay!

Absolutely what the doctor ordered!

If you're looking for peace and tranquility yet being only a few minutes from town or Glacier National Park, this is the place! The kitchen had everything I could have possibly needed to prepare meals. The living room was ultra comfortable. My bedroom was perfect! Cleanliness was top-notch! There's also great outdoor seating areas (I'm a big fan) surrounded by huge pine trees. I spent a disproportionate amount of time sitting outside!! Kate, the host, was wonderful from the get-go. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone I know!

Perfect getaway

We had a wonderful time staying here. The location was great for exploring the area. The house was extremely clean and well stocked, and the beds were very comfortable. Communication with the owner was easy and pleasant. We wished we had booked it for longer! Perfect place! Can’t recommend it enough.

Great rental.

Can’t say enough about this property. Location is perfect for GNP. Beautiful home well stocked, and tastefully decorated. Super nice owner. Good WiFi too. One of the very nicest VRBO property we’ve ever stayed at. 5 stars!!

Beautiful home

Everything about our stay in this home was wonderful. Attention to details was amazing. My 4 sisters and I stayed 4 nights. Short drive to West entrance of Glacier National Park. Kate and her husband John were super hosts and very easy to contact. Made our stay a vacation to remember.

We had a nice stay. The house was just what we expected. Home owners were easy to communicate with and very friendly. I liked that the basic condiments and essentials were provided, it saved us on a lot of food waste.

Great property - close to Glacier National Park

We rent quite a few properties each year. This property was incredibly clean and close to Glacier NP. Kate was very easy to work with and even reached out to inform us of the new National Park reservation system prior to the rollout. Highly recommend!

Wonderful getaway

If you’re looking for a secluded quiet getaway, yet convenient to Glacier NP, this is the place. You are surrounded by nature here. Super comfortable furnishings, a well stocked kitchen, and plenty of room for our family. Kate is a super host - very communicative and helpful. We would definitely stay here again! Thank you, Kate!

Hillside House Near West Glacier Enterence

This house exceeded my expectations! It is in a great location, quiet but yet still close enough to anything you would need and only a few minutes from Glacier National Park. The owners are really friendly and helped us with anything we had questions. The house is really clean and had everything!

John and Kate reside at Abbott Valley Homestead, just a quarter-mile from the Hillside House. John works in Glacier National Park and Kate's family moved to this part of Montana in 1948. They are happy to share their local knowledge of the area with you.
