Beautiful Frankfort Michigan Vacation Home

Remodeled 4 bedrooms 2 full baths home. Sleeps 8 to 10 plus room for additional air beds (provided). 2 bedrooms have queen size beds. bedroom 3 has 2 full size. Bedroom 4 (downstairs) has 1 full and 1 twin, great for the kids!!. In addition there is a 4 to 5 person dry sauna, and a washer and dryer in the basement. There is an attached 2 car garage converted to a recreation room with a ping pong table (ping pong not available in the winter months).

Home is walking distance to downtown Frankfort and Lake Michigan. Right across the street is a large park with basketball, tennis courts, and skate park. Ride your bikes right down the driveway to hundreds of miles of walking and bike paths. The grocery store is only two blocks away!!

If you chose to drive the home is only 20 minutes south of Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes. Going east you are 20 minutes away from Crystal Mountain ski resort or 20 minutes from historic Cherry Bowl drive-in. For a little further drive you are 40 minutes from downtown Traverse City or 45 minutes from the middle of wine country. Finally 25 minutes south is Arcadia Bluffs golf resort (there are 3 other golf courses in varying price ranges within 20 minutes).

If you chose to relax at home we provided a 50inch flat screen with DVD/Blue Ray. There are also plenty of board games and ping pong table (ping pong not available in winter months) in the breakfast nook and attached garage for the family to enjoy. Then cook the burgers on the charcoal grill for a great dinner.

Tired of needing a vacation to recuperate from your vacation. You get the best of all worlds with this house. Enjoy a truly relaxing vacation at an affordable price!!

We had a great time at Chris and Pam’s place in Frankfort. Being two blocks from downtown and less than a mile from the pier was a highlight. The place was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. Communication with the host was a breeze. As always, we were very sad to leave Frankfort. We would definitely consider staying here again.

Great cottage near downtown Frankfort. Walking distance to SO many things. Cottage was clean and had great outdoor living spaces. The house fan kept us cool as well as the ceiling fans. Kitchen is a bit small but we made it work for our large group. Dinners on the porch were perfection!

Beach town stay

Gem of a cottage!

Family loved the cottage and the location to the beach! Park acroas the street for all the family to enjoy! Minutes walk to downtown Frankfort and the beach! Chris and Pam are very responsive a great time was had by All!

Great location! Worked well for us. Only issue was with water pressure while using both showers.

Thank you Joan, Sorry you had an issue with the showers. To future renters unfortunately this can be a problem in Frankfort in some of the older houses. Water pressure can drop a bit so if you run both showers the pressure can drop. This doesn't happen all the time but something to be aware of if you plan on renting. Best Chris and Pam

Beautiful stay in Frankfort

This was my second time staying at this property - just as wonderful as the first. Very comfortable and spacious home. Great location close to downtown and the beach. Can't wait to stay again!

Our stay in Frankfort

We love Frankfort! Our stay was great. Very convenient to the park across the street and being able to walk to town was something new for us. Our hosts were quickly available and made our stay very enjoyable.

Great for families with pets

We have stayed here a few times over the years, the owners are easy to work with and have made some great updates! It's great for families, right across the street from a park and walking distance to downtown.

Perfect location

Our favorite things were the location to downtown Frankfort (and the beach!) and the ping pong table / hangout areas available in the house! Owners were very responsive and helpful!

Although our stay was not 5-stars, I will say that the owners were responsive. I'm sharing this review so future renters know what they are getting and owners can make corrections so what happened to us doesn't happen to future renters. As a family who has two cabins in Frankfort (that are rented all summer) & house in Benzonia, I would never want any of our renters to experience this: 1) Upon arrival, the house was FILTHY! Numerous piles of dog hair all over the house, all over furniture, including in the sheets of the "made bed". I was shocked that there was dog hair within the bed sheets upon our arrival. Suggest if you are going to allow dogs, to allow more time for your cleaner to clean. Or change policy and do not allow dogs in your rental. The cleaner came back to vacuum up hair balls & change all the sheets which took 90 mins. She also made excuses on why the house was not clean, which was unprofessional. As much as we appreciate the corrective action, it was very disruptive to the first night of our stay. 2) Supplies were low upon arrival - hand soap ran out and we did not locate more. There was no body wash & minimal laundry pods upon our arrival. Appreciate if everything is stocked upon arrival. 3) House looks nicer in photos. The shower in the master bathroom is not tiled correctly so plan on standing in a pool of water while showering. Additionally, do not plan to use any combo of showers, shower washer, as there will be no water pressure.

Normally I am a person that says if you don't have anything nice to say don't say anything at all but, I feel inclined to answer this. Color me a bit dubious if you are telling me you own 2 houses in Frankfort (that you rent), and one 10 minutes away, that you are putting this review in to help. You are showing close-up pictures of the stairs to the lower level. We also had the cleaner take pictures. There was some pet hair so we sent the cleaner back in. As an owner that rents their property, I think you would agree making it right for your guest is the priority. By your clock they were there 90 minutes. You were out 60 minutes so it was 30 minutes that you were inconvenienced. We would have preferred it didn't happen but it did and for those 30 minutes you were compensated considerably. As for extra supplies, they are in the cabinet in the basement. Also, the tiles done incorrectly? The shower was done 5 years ago so that's a new one. Thanks for that. For future guests please read all the reviews. Preferably from a non-competitors in the area. We have rented our second home for over 8 years. There are three reviews, including this one, that said the house was not cleaned to their standards and we made it right. We also mention that we are pet friendly. This is our family vacation home (not a profit center). We believe the entire family should be part of the family vacation which would include pets. We also mention that the water pressure may drop. This something in the city we can't control. Every pipe in the house has been updated or replaced. Finally, you will see with every review, including the bad ones, that we are responsive and will do WHATEVER it takes for you to enjoy your vacation. Finally please reach out and ask questions before renting. We will answer everything we can. We would rather not rent then rent to someone who has a bad experience. Best Chris and Pam

Frankfort

This was the perfect location for our vacation. It was walking distance from everything downtown. And our dog got to enjoy it as well. We greatly enjoyed our time.
