Imagine yourself on a private mountaintop with an enormous view, larger than Rhode Island. Then add a luxurious apartment with walls of glass to take in the scenic outlook views. You will gaze upon the actual "purple mountains" and "fruited plains" that inspired the writing of America The Beautiful.
This is a very unique property, located on a cliff, about 800' higher than the city with a 360 degree view. It consists of a fully private, nicely decorated luxury apartment located on the lower level of the house (owners live on top floor) with 2 private entrances (it is not a basement). There are actually 2 suites divided by a common hallway (like 2 hotel rooms across the hall from each other), One suite contains a master bed/bath, full kitchen and the living area. The other suite has 1 bedroom, a full bath, and a living area with a queen sofa bed. Sleeps six. Altogether there are 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a queen sleeper sofa (full thickness matress), and 2 full baths and over 1600 sq. ft. of living space. Amenities include free Wifi, 55" and three 32" TVs with Roku and cable, DVD, full kitchen, Keurig Kcup and drip brewers, master suite, carport, outdoor patio table, charcoal grill, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, W/D, and many more. There is also a Level 2 EV charger available
You will be within 5 - 10 minutes from the Broadmoor, Ft. Carson, the world famous zoo, Seven Falls, the World Arena, and the beautiful Cheyenne Canyon where you can drive or hike through gorgeous alpine country. There are 2 grocery stores, plus Sam's and Walmart within 2 miles. Also, the Air Force Academy is 20 mins, away.
Please note that my wife and I live on the top floor of the house and we are available 24/7 to make sure that our guests have a first class, trouble free experience while staying here. 420 friendly.

Beautiful views! Perfect location! Wonderful Hosts!

We had a wonderful stay in Colorado Springs! The views were spectacular of the mountains and the city including the garden of the gods in the distance! Our hosts Gary and Janet were the nicest and made us feel right at home! We highly recommend staying here!

Great place for a family

We had a great stay at the Cliff House -- loved having three bedrooms and two baths, and the views from the house were amazing. The house was also close to many amenities and hiking areas.

Location & views cannot be beat!

This home is everything that is advertised in the listing. The location is wonderful and is within 15-25 minutes of all major sites you'll want to see here in Colorado Springs. The views of the mountains during the day & views of the city lights at night simply cannot be beat anywhere!! Host & his wife are wonderful and we felt very much at home during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing plaze and wonderful owners

We had a wonderful time and we enjoyed a very comfortable place. Impeccably clean. Kitchen was well stocked with cookware. Spacious and amazing sunrises. Definitely will keep on our list for when we return to Colorado Springs. Owners were very attentive to any needs that we had.

Beautiful View!

We stayed two nights before flying home after visiting the Rocky Mountains and Estes Park. We enjoyed the city view and lights at night. Two in our group got up at 5:30 one morning to watch the sun rise from this beautiful location. Gary has great communication and is very friendly and helpful suggesting local places. I'd stay here again.

Beautifully appointed apartment with a great location

My family of four had plenty of space and all that we needed to spend time exploring the area. Breakfast and dinners on the patio with deer visitors and gorgeous views made our trip to Colorado even better. Decor was new and pretty, place was spotless, beds were comfortable, kitchen had anything we needed to make a nice meal, and the owners were available to advise or help. Highly recommend!

Beautiful views with great location

The views were outstanding in all directions. It was conveniently located for in town and out of town trips. The facility was just as presented with the exception if one thing--there was no grill available. The host was easy to communicate with and prompt in his responses.

Gary and Janet's Cliff House was wonderful!

The house was warm and welcoming and so were our hosts! Our extended family of 7 all loved this place. The beds were comfortable, kitchen was fully stocked and it felt very private. It was close to all immenities-grocery store, coffee shop, etc. and all Colorado Springs highlights. The real stunner, though, was the incredible views! The mountains were spectacular and city lights at night were gorgeous. Our hosts were very helpful - offering suggestions on the city and surrounding areas. This was the perfect getaway place for us!

Great find!

Me and my husband really enjoyed our stay. I was in town for a conference at the Broadmoor and it was less than a 10 minute drive. The views are amazing. The inside is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you may need for your stay. You are close to many recreational areas as well. Gary, the owner was super nice and friendly. We will definitely return when we stay in Colorado Springs.

A Little Slice of Heaven

Gary and Janet have the most beautiful home. The view in the evening is breathtaking. Its true they are upstairs but you never hear from them nor see them. Everthing about this house is perfect and it was perfectly located for all of our adventures.

Relaxing and Beautiful

My husband and I enjoyed the beautiful property. The views from each window were amazing. You could see the mountains during the day and the city lights at night. Gary was a very accommodating with anything we needed. I think it is important to note that the owners do live above the unit and the noise level is a bit high at times. Other than that, the trip was great.

First class

Unbelievable views!! The apartment is just as nice as it looks in the pictures. We were here on business and staying here with such an accommodating host I might add, was just what the Dr ordered. The home has all of the amenities we needed, and after long days working, coming back to these views, a nice meal and bottle of wine around the fire was wonderful. We loved it! Thank you Gary!

Great Views and close to everything!

This was a great place for my family to stay, with plenty of room to cook/grill our own meals, sit outside on the patio and enjoy the view and weather. We were close to everything. Zoo was great. Garden of the Gods and Manitou. Grocery , gas and places to eat all nearby. Kitchen had all kinds of cookware to use, and I was spoiled by the Keurig and coffee Gary had for us to use. Great area to use the laundry. Hopefully we weren't too loud as the foyer, between the bedrooms we used to go back and forth, is a common area. Was a great alternative to being in a hotel room and buying all our meals at a restaurant.

Beautiful rental in perfect location!

The place was wonderful and the owners, Gary and Janet, have truly thought of everything to make one's stay here absolutely perfect. They are also two of the nicest people you could ever meet. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly need. There are great views of the mountains and the lights of the city from the house. There are very comfortable beds and high end kitchen and bathrooms. We were traveling with another couple and the split bedrooms layout provided plenty of privacy for each couple. There was also outdoor seating space for each bedroom. During our visit, we attended a golf tournament at The Broadmoor which was just a 5-minute drive from the house. We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to return again in the near future.

GREAT VIEWS

The 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit is cozy, comfy and perfect for our stay while we traveled around Colorado Springs and the surrounding areas. The home has everything needed for a comfortable stay. This unit is on the ground level and the owners home is above and there are some noises to adjust to, walking, dogs occassional bark, some tv, and a couple of thuds, etc. Then our last day there we heard a noise that completely filled our ears and hearts with JOY, I even opened the door from our unit to the owners home just a crack so that we could fully enjoy. Gary played the piano so brilliantly he could easily be in a symphony (and should be). It filled us to our very souls with pleasure. Thank you Gary and Janet for the feast for our ears and a small cozy unit to relax and unwind after spending time with family at so many things available for folks to enjoy in the area.

Great base for exploring the area.

This was our first visit to CO, so first visit to Colorado Springs, too. This property proved to be a great launchpad for exploring the local area and also driving further out, with good access to the mountains. The host was communicative and helpful, onsite (floor above) too, so very accessible. Perhaps a little unusual (but clearly stated in the listing), the hosts live in the 2nd floor and part of the VRBO is a share access corridor which is used to move between to spaces on the ground floor. The hosts were very respectful of that space during our entire stay. We only saw them when we needed to see them, aside from discreetly heading out to just get on with their day-to-day. We stayed over the Xmas period and the host went above on beyond by providing an Xmas tree and festive lights. Dedicate parking, full kitchen, our teen boy having his own bedroom, bathroom and TV lounge...and the great views from the elevated situation of the property, all contribute to a successful package.

Stunning Views

This very well maintained and clean property is in a very nice neighborhood outside of the city of Colorado Springs. Views are like in the descriptions and are expansive. You can even see the Garden of the Gods in the distance. The owner, Gary was very nice and helpful. We enjoyed eating at a restaurant they recommended that was NOT a tourist trap. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and other basics. They even had a cooler we could borrow! Great location for quite views and as a base to tour the area. Would definitely stay again.

Spectacular Location

The location of this property is truly spectacular! The hilltop views extend for miles below to the north, east, and south, and the mountains provide a beautiful view to the west. We spent every late afternoon and evening on the patio enjoying the changing colors of the sky as the sun descended and set, and then marveling at the emergence of miles of city lights. Gary is a welcoming and attentive host. The apartments are well maintained, comfortable and well equipped. We have rented VRBO properties for years, and we enjoyed our stay at this one more than almost any other.

Wonderful Stay

We really enjoy our family 4 nights at Gary and Janet's house in Sep. Place is very clean, well stocked and well decorated. The view of mountain, sunrise, Hot air baloon festival is amazing! Hosts are super friendly. Very quiet from upstairs. Kids love to play w their puppies. Thank you Gary and Janet. Will be back soon!

We LOVED the cliff house!

We had a quick little girls’ weekend getaway to the Springs with a coworker who was in from the UK. We wanted her to see the beautiful mountains, and experience Colorado hospitality, and the cliff house did not disappoint! I am going to miss mornings on the patio enjoying the breeze and the view! The place was beautiful, and though the owners lived upstairs, we still felt like we had our own safe space. And, Gary made sure we knew about the living arrangements after I booked and was willing to cancel if we did not feel comfortable with the arrangement, which was great. Gary was a lovely and helpful host and we definitely look forward to coming back. It was great for a girls’ weekend and I am looking forward to coming with my partner and our friends as well.
