Lovely, comfortable cottage in a quiet location. The cottage is bigger than it appeared in the photos. Short walk to Monks Bay, a dog friendly beach, and also into Ventnor. Parking spaces were limited but most days we got one quite close to the cottage. An ideal holiday base and we’d happily return here!

A lovely cottage in a beautiful area. It has a cosy feel, with all a family needs for a relaxing stay. Perfectly located, with lovely walks along the coast. I cannot recommend this cottage enough.

Grebe Cottage is perfect for all weathers; it is extremely well equipped, tastefully decorated, and easy to access. Bonchurch is an ideal location for visiting the rest of the island, whilst being in a quiet spot just off the main road.Ruth is very conscientious in communicating with visitors and clearly takes pride in the accommodation.We did, occasionally, find parking a challenge however it is worth noting that there is a car park down towards the beach where it is possible to buy a permit to cover several days.We will definitely consider staying at the cottage again.

Lovely little cottage clean and tidy, everything there that you needed. Lovely village just a 10 minute walk to the sea with beautiful walk along the coast.

Lovely location opposite the Bonchurch pond but steep inclines on foot from beach and to/from Ventnor.The property was well equipped and very cosy and comfortable with a sun trap at the rear. As there is no on site parking, during the season (up to the end of September) this could be an issue as there are day time restrictions on Bonchurch Village Road. A spot can usually found on the unrestricted sections but this isn’t guaranteed.

Ruth is excellent with communication. The old village of Bonchurch is delightful and very quiet.The pond across the road is entertaining and wild life is buzzing.Grebe cottage is an excellent and comfortable base to visit the island.

We had a really lovely stay at Grebe Cottage and our hosts were very accommodating. Bonchurch is peaceful and beautiful (though parking does fill up and was a bit tight some days). Would definitely recommend. The listing includes a dryer under amenities but there is no tumble dryer at the cottage - for anyone like us with a baby and lots of laundry!

A beautiful location for exploring the Island.

Grebe Cottage was clean and cosy. We had a lovely short stay. The village pond opposite the cottage is beautiful and The Bonchurch Inn serves lovely food. Great walking on the doorstep.

Beautiful place

Well positioned in lovely location , fine view over lovely pond but also 10 minute walk to sea and Ventnor only 5 minutes by car. Property well equipped, location peaceful

Quaint Cottage

Peaceful few days in lovely quaint cottage opposite the village pond. The cottage was well equipped close to the beach and all amenities.

Idyllic Cottage

From the outside it looks small and it opens up into such a beautiful space. Great fun being by the pond and an easy walk into town. Would highly recommend the pottery at Bonchurch, there are some great examples in the house also!
