Owls Perch was the perfect home base for our exploration of the Asheville area.Cathy was easy to reach and very responsive.We enjoyed our visit and would recommend this lovely mountain cottage.

We had a fabulous stay. Owls Perch is a gem, inside and out. Beautifully curated for our every enjoyment, with ultra clean and inviting interiors, and a gorgeous fenced patio garden and views of the mountains and forest from the home’s two decks, patio and separate firepit. Super private mountainside perch and it enabled us to have the ideal reunion of siblings and spouses from far flung states. Enjoyed touring the nearby Biltmore Estate and panoramic Pisgah National Forest too , plus simply relaxing and enjoying all the comforts of this home away fromhome. Thank you Cathy for creating the perfect vacation retreat! It is a special place!

This place was so clean and well put together. We enjoyed our stay immensely! Close to everything we had planned to do. Very private and no one disturbing us. Theflower garden is a beautiful Sanctuary to relax and unwind. I would absolutely return.Restaurant suggestions....Country Pride and Lobster Trap!

There was no communication with the host, we were not able to access the WIFI, the message said the password was located in the cabin. After searching for it I sent a message at 4:36 PM, it was not responded to until 2:10 AM. We could still not access the WiFi. There was nothing in the home saying what check out expectations were. We did what we thought would be acceptable but not really sure. The view was great as well as the outside areas.

This was such a lovely place to stay for a girl’s trip! The view of the mountains from the home was picturesque and the place felt like a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle. The drive from the airport and to/from Asheville was easy and quick (25-35 minutes depending on traffic). State parks and great hiking trails were also not too far away. Ingles was also a short drive away for any groceries and other items.

I booked Cathy's place to attend a wedding at a nearby venue. It was very clean and comfortable. It ended up me being alone, so I can't speak to the comfort of the furniture, but the bed was comfortable. There were plenty of towels and kitchen seemed fine. I appreciated the Kurieg coffee pods! Coming up to the trip, Cathy was delayed in responding, but I would eventually get a response. But strangely, once I checked in and let her know I was there, and 3 nights later checked out...I have not heard one thing from her. I let her know via VRBO and text message that the rest of my family were not staying after all, and that the master bath towel rack was broken, but as of now have not heard from her. This is fine, I guess, but I have never had it happen in the past and other reviews stated they had great communication so seemed strange to me. I hope she is okay. Overall, place was fine, but not modern/updated. It felt a bit like visiting grandma's place. :)

What a beautiful spot in the mountains! We loved our stay - such a cozy home, well appointed with many thoughtful touches. This was the perfect place for our visit to Asheville.

A nice, cozy cottage with great views and a very relaxing garden. Only a short drive into downtown and almost anyplace you want to visit in Asheville. The host was very available and came to the rescue when I locked myself out of the house.

Lovely home, very clean, with all the amenities you can possibly need. Very conveniently location just outside downtown Asheville. The outdoor spaces are great. Very private, surrounded on three sides by a mountain. Wonderful view of the mountains from the front deck.We definitely recommend this home and we want to return some day to enjoy it ourselves.

WINTER STAY NEAR ASHEVILLE

I cannot say enough good things about this cozy cabin on the hilltop with a beautiful view. Fully stocked with all you need for cooking cleaning and comfort. This is our 4th stay and will continue to be our go to home near Asheville.
