Love a place at the beach

This is our second staying at this condo. My kids love the water slide and I love how close it is to the beach! The condo is the perfect size for our family of 4

Fun and Sun

Had a great time! The unit was clean and perfect for our family of 4. My kids love the pool and water slide. We are very close to the beach so we get to enjoy that as well. Would definitely stay again.

We tried to check-in on a Sunday, the host was unreachable. We had no keys to access the property. We called all the numbers available to us and messaged on VRBO, no replies or response. I spent over an hour on the phone VRBO (who was helpful in the beginning but at the moment havent held up to their word of refund and reimbursement). No-one could get hold of the host of this property, including management at the check-in desk. We were told the keys were held at the realtor office and not at the "A Place at the Beach" office, so there was nothing they could do but apologize. After a long drive, and with 4 extremely disappointed children, we spent 2 hours in the grounds trying to fix this error, and didnt get anywhere. We ended up having to stay at the Holiday Inn in Morehead. Definitely not how we expected our vacation to start. Will avoid the company in the future.

We confirmed with signatures that you checked in on 6/14/2026. Again i apologize for any issues you had when checking in. We want all of our guest to have a great experience while on vacation.

Nice complex

this was a great experience. Everything that the property had to do is great for a family. There is mini golf, indoor pool, outdoor pool and other activities...plus the beach. The amenities in the condo were nice. I feel the blankets and shams were not clean, so we made sure the kids didn't use. We feel the cooking pans could have been it better condition to cook, but we were able to make it work. All in all we had a great vacation with the kids. We are already talking about coming back next year for our vacation. We have to say thank you for a wonderful experience.

Great location. So close to the beach and the pool is nice. My kids love it. I love the new deck that extends farther onto the beach. Great time at Atlantic Beach

We had a lovely relaxing week at this beach condo. it was very small but comfortable. it had everything needed for the two of us during our stay. Great pool, great beach. A repeat is likely!

Feedback on cleanliness

Property was fine, unit needs an update and deep clean. There is not really any hanging closet space. A TV was put into the closet of the master bedroom, along with vacuum so there was not space. Front bathroom only had 1 lightbulb in the fixture, which made it dark in there. Master bathroom ceiling by the exhaust fan had a buildup of hanging dust and debris, bedroom also had the same ceiling issue. Living room space and kitchen had splashes of food on the walls and artwork. I sat a different direction so that I didn't have to look at this when eating. Also the master bath sink and tub did not look like they'd been scrubbed and there was a buildup of scum in both.

A place at the Beach, Atlantic Beach unit# 106

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Great place, unit was clean and set up perfect for 4 adult guests. Not a huge unit but we went for the beach, not to hang out inside all week. That being said it was very comfortable with plenty of room. Having 2 showers was a plus. The overall facility was well kept, great tennis and basketball court. The pool is great. The complex is perfect for families with kids.

Everything else was to our liking, the staff at the office and at the resort were great. We look forward to staying at this same room next year.

A little deceiving

The picture makes it look larger be of the mirrored walls. We also thought we would be on the ocean. The complex is but not the condo.Also disappointed the pool was open.

Barely adequate. Expected some luxury.

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I cried when I first saw it. Furnishing old. Needed maintenance. Plumbing fixtures from the 50's. Lack of window coverings. Nice kitchen appliances. No ocean view. Enjoyed stay because of my husband.
