The Surfrider Bungalow on Carbon Beach

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all affected by the fires.

Surfrider Bungalow (650 +/- Sq Ft) is located right on the beach. It features a spacious, private bedroom with a comfortable king-size bed, hotel grade linens, HD 4K Smart TV and a well-appointed bathroom. The living area includes a fireplace, queen-size pullout sofa-bed (sleeps 2), HD 4K Smart TV with a Sonos Sound Bar, and a dining table that seats 4. The spacious kitchen provides everything needed for gourmet meal preparation and has a bar type counter that seats 2. This Bungalow is beautifully decorated to complement and highlight the stunning ocean front views. Experience magical sunsets, the rhythm of crashing waves, and unobstructed ocean views all from the privacy of your own furnished deck. All Bungalows enjoy private beach access, free wireless internet and one Free on-site parking space.

This was a fantastic property RIGHT on the ocean. Easy parking. Comfortable beds. Kitchen was a and location in Malibu was idea. We'd love to stay here again.

Great oceanfront stay

The property manager was incredibly helpful and responsive. Absolute top-notch service from start to finish. The endless sandy beach was an absolute dream. The unit was as pictured. The perfect vacation. I highly recommended Malibu Suites!

Awesome Oceanside bungalow

Great light, basically sleeping on the water. The view is unbeatable, smack in the middle of Malibu. Clean, the fireplace is awesome — excellent place for a romantic getaway

what a jewel box! what a view, what a location, and what tranquility!! we loved staying there and did not want to leave! everything was perfect with out stay, communication, directions, parking, everything perfect! we hope to come back soon!

Amazing location!

The perfect place for myself and 2 daughters to spend our first Malibu weekend exploring. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Apartment was adorable, older, but everything worked perfectly! And that patio!!! Will never forget it!

Heaven in Malibu

What an idyllic weekend in Malibu! We were in town for a friend’s wedding and are so grateful we found this beautiful bungalow to call home for two nights! The location and setting can’t be beat, the property was clean and well-appointed, great communication from the host - a top notch experience all around! We can’t wait to visit again!

A great location with plenty of waves

We enjoyed our stay in Bungalow 8, especially sitting on the porch in the evening watching the waves. We walked to Malibu Surf Shack to rent a surf board, walked to Malibu Pier, and enjoyed dinner at the Malibu Farm restaurant, also a close walk. Shopping and Pepperdine University were close. I made some meals in the kitchen, which was outfitted adequately. The beds were comfortable and the fireplace was lovely since the evenings were quite chilly.

Wonderful Rental on the beach!!

We enjoyed our week in Malibu at this rental. The property contact person was great. Answered our questions during the booking process and answered very quickly. When we had any requests they were great to work with. I highly recommend this property and we will plan to return the next time we travel to Malibu. we loved sitting on the porch, watching and listening to the ocean waves. We even saw a dolphin.

Perfect cottage on the water

This property was perfect for a getaway for me and my husband. The property was clean and nicely updated. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony over the water with our coffee in the morning, and it was amazing listening to the waves at night. The location was perfect for getting around Malibu for a wedding weekend. Beautiful, relaxing place!

Excellent rental

The location is fantastic, most anything is walking distance. The water is right below you and you have easy access to the beach. Manager is really nice, quick to respond and really generous in helping you out with questions or concerns. Highly recommend for a get away with a comfortable, homey feel.

More like a cruise ship ocean view...not beach front

I rented this property believing I would be just steps from the sand with access to a private beach (Carbon Beach) with my family. The tide was super high and it felt more like a balcony view of the ocean on a cruise ship with no direct access to the beach. Also the ocean crashed directly under the bungalow. The property is on stilts. It made it very hard to sleep. The bungalow was getting pounded by the waves all night! In the bedroom you could also hear the cars racing down PCH 1. I've never come back home so tired from a vacation in my life! On the positive side, the bungalow was very clean and check in/out was seamless..I just think that in the property description it should be noted that the private beach access is ONLY accessible depending on the tide....which no one has control over. I wouldn't have spent that kind of money per night if I had known that I would still have to walk or drive to a different beach each day with my family. I think it's only fair to give a person all the Information so they can make an informed decision.

Comfortable with killer views!

We were looking for a last minute location to spend a low key weekend on the water. This was perfect! Clean, comfortable, perfect location and the view is unbeatable. Not a ton of sand to sit on the beach but we got out there during low tide and it was fantastic. Walked to Malibu Pier and the Country Mart. Loved it! We will be back for sure.

Wonderful Getaway

The property was exactly what we expected and more. The condo was clean and in a good location. I really liked the private gate. Would definitely recommend to family and friends. Hoping to return next year.

Great ocean side stay with walkable dining
