We enjoyed our stay very much. Our hosts were helpful. The place was clean and decorated so cute. What a nice view we had on the deck. We loved going out on the pier. The location was great. We hope to come back next time we come through the area next year.

We had an amazing stay here! It was the perfect getaway for us. The private pier was awesome and we did a lot of fishing. The cottage was cozy and quiet. We would absolutely want to come back.

We enjoyed our stay. We were there for 9 nights. We picked a hot time of year to be there, but it was still nice sitting on the patio of an evening with a sundowners watching the water, shore birds and boats.

Stairs in the property were too difficult for me. I am in good shape for a 68 year old. But concerned I would fall each time I went up and down the stairs.Bedroom is upstairs, bathroom downstairs.Bed very comfortable The property is great for someone younger. In a quiet, lovely neighborhood.I booked for a week but forfeited my payment and left after one night.

The steps from first floor are as follows: 4 steps, a landing and 4 more steps. They have a railing, are well lit and are built to code. I’m sorry you had issues.

I hope to come again when the wind is less but I was snug & very comfortable here. Delightful little place. Wonderful upstairs bedroom, great balcony. Beautiful lighting and and touches throughout. Perfect for one or two. Think of a hobbit house for regular sized people. Really charming.

Cute and cozy cottage near the water! The upstairs space is very comfortable and the balcony off of the bedroom has a nice view. The area is very quiet and it was a nice neighborhood for walking our dogs.

Overall we had a good experience. The cottage was clean. The listing was described as a waterfront 2 story cottage so I assumed the first photo on the listing of the waterfront was from the cottage but it is not . It is off the main house so that was extremely disappointing but you are allowed to it. My main issue was the pier. It is not safe. The boards bow significantly when you walk on them (260lb man) and there are loose pieces underneath in some spots so he only walked out about 6-8 ft. We chose this location for fishing so it was a big deal for us. The area at the lower level of the house was also overgrown. The bathroom is downstairs and it is small. For reference, I'm a woman 5'3" size 12 and when I sat on the toilet my left arm touched the wall. Despite these issues we still enjoyed ourselves. It was nice because the host told us about the Friday night fireworks show you could see from the patio of the main house.

We enjoyed our stay and found the house to be perfectly located to go to the beach, kemah boardwalk, the Houston space center, explore downtown and go to museums.

Don and Nancy Greenstein: We are an educated and retired (33 years married) couple that live year round in the main residence on the property. Don is a native Houstonian whose family summer vacationed in the Galveston Bay area since the 1950s, Nancy is a retired business-owner from Ft. Wayne, IN. We have lived in the Galveston Bay area together for many years. The area is private, romantic and relaxed; the climate is semi-tropical with warm bay breezes year round. We enjoy boating, dining, golfing and family activities on the property and on Galveston Bay.

Don is a Houston native and has vacationed in the Bacliff/Bayview/Kemah, TX area all his life. I love the area's climate, water entertainment access and relaxed style of living. The seafood dining in the area is unmatched in the state of Texas. The productivity of offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico off the Galveston coast is unmatched in the U.S. The South Texas coast is the premier site saltwater entertainment mecca of the Houston area and South eastern Texas. This property has the best view (270 degree) of the Galveston Bay and the Houston Ship Channel that runs though it. Annually, on Fridays in the months of June and July there are waterfront hour-long fireworks displays that are visible from our waterfront decks. The wildlife (sea gulls, pelicans, porpoises) behavior displays from our decks are phenomenal.
