Welcome to Bord D’Eau — French for “beside the water” — a charming riverfront cabin on the Toccoa River, where comfort, nature and adventure come together. Inspired by the relaxed style of a Southern Living nautical cottage, the home was originally built as our family retreat and is now a special place for guests to enjoy the mountains, the river and time together.

A Unique Riverfront Setting

One of Bord D’Eau’s most distinctive features is its location on a beautiful bend of the Toccoa River. The property offers approximately 150 feet of private river frontage, with views both upstream and downstream and the soothing sound of water flowing over the rocky fish trap.

Fish or fly-fish right from the backyard, launch a kayak, watch canoeists and floaters drift by, or simply settle into a chair and enjoy the river.

The cabin sits on 1.1 acres of level, park-like grounds with mature trees, grassy areas, two wooden swings and a picnic table — plenty of room for children to play or adults to relax by the water.

After a day of exploring, soak in the hot tub overlooking the river, gather around the riverside fire pit, or enjoy a quiet evening listening to the water.

A Comfortable, Well-Equipped Cabin

This custom-built cypress wood cabin was designed for both comfort and connection with the outdoors. Inside, the open floor plan brings the kitchen, dining and living spaces together beneath soaring ceilings.

The well-equipped kitchen includes cookware and everything needed for preparing meals at home, along with a gas cooktop and generous dining space.

Sleeping arrangements:

Primary Suite – Upstairs: King bed, en-suite bathroom and private balcony with beautiful river views.

Queen Guest Bedroom – Downstairs: Comfortable queen bed.

Bunk Room – Downstairs: Queen bed plus XL twin bed.

The two downstairs bedrooms share a well-appointed bathroom.

High-speed fiber internet makes it easy to stream, work remotely or stay connected during your stay.

Enjoy the River From Every Angle

The approximately 300-square-foot screened porch overlooking the river is a favorite gathering place for morning coffee, meals or simply enjoying the view without leaving the comfort of the cabin.

An additional open deck provides more seating and space to enjoy the wooded surroundings.

Closer to the water, the large riverside deck is the perfect place to sit with a drink, listen to the river and watch the light change across the water. In the evening, gather around the fire pit for conversation and marshmallows under the stars.

Quiet Yet Convenient

Bord D’Eau is located in a quiet, low-traffic neighborhood of upscale vacation homes on a private dead-end road, offering privacy without feeling remote.

You’ll be approximately:

-15 minutes from downtown Blue Ridge for restaurants, shopping and entertainment
-15 minutes from Lake Blue Ridge for boating, paddling and the marina
-about 15 minutes from Old Toccoa Farm, an 18-hole semi-private golf course with public play
-close to hiking, horseback riding, scenic drives and other North Georgia mountain activities

Access to the property is easy, with paved and gravel roads leading to the house — no steep mountain roads to navigate.

The cabin is also supplied by a deep artesian well with fresh water directly from the source.
