Such a great stay here! Any questions we had were answered promptly. A nice clean house right in walking distance of everything!

The size of the house was very spacious and perfect for our girls trip. The rooms were all very clean. The four bathrooms were very nice. Courtney our host was very attentive and responded right away to our requests. She provided us with a new grill when we contacted her with the condition of the old one. She addressed everything very professionally and passed our suggestions on to the owners. The location was GREAT. We walked to the state park and hiked. We could also walk to town to eat and shop.

Everything was great. The location is perfect. Walk to most anywhere; restaurants, shopping, boat docks, churches, Watkins Glen waterfalls. Easy ride to many vineyards. There were seven ladies staying. Plenty of room for everyone and we felt safe. Lovely porches to sit on and enjoy the outdoors. On street parking or parking in back, if you can make it up the steep driveway. Would definitely recommend this house.

Watkins Glen house

The house is a short walk to the park and close to the lake as well. Large house, can easily accommodate a larger group. Visit was very nice as was the neighborhood.

Watkins Glen Stay

We had a great stay! The house is very large and easily accommodated our group of 8. Walking distance to several restaurants. Property manager responded quickly. Would highly recommend!

The location was pretty good and six blocks from the lake. Wi-Fi speed and connectivity issues was a constant problem throughout our stay. Therefore the TVs were not hardly usable. Lighting was inadequate in several areas in the unit. No propane in the tank for the grill so we needed to pay for our own. Sectional sofa downstairs was worn, stained and sagged in every seat. No mattress pads on the beds. Refrigerator had no shelves on the inside of the door, no light inside it and the ice maker was not operational. Only had 6 coffee cups for 8 of us.Spacious property overall and plenty of room for eight of us. Outdoor seating on the decks was nice.

Perfect accommodations

Location is perfect for walking into town. Rooms were large and common areas were very spacious. Kitchen was equipped to suit our needs - Breakfast. But could have cooked other meals. Always available parking. House was very clean.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. Very nice set-up. The only thing I would add was that the WiFi signal was weak and had a difficult time staying connected. Perhaps a booster would help improve the WIFI service. Great location.

Close to everything

Property was clean and very roomy. I might be a bit judgmental about the interior, my husband is a contractor. Lots to be desired with painting, flooring installation, etc.

Watkins Glen home

Overall it was a good place. The location was close to town and walkable. The size of the property met our needs including the number of beds and large table to eat and play games at.. Some of the cooking appliances could be updated for cooking including the outdoor grill which we weren't able to use.The host was responsive to answer questions.which we weren't able to use.

5 ladies on a wine tasting trip. With 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms worked very well. Located a block off main street, so could walk to businesses downtown. When arrived lock box was on front porch, so we parked in street and used the stairs. When leaving put car at side door to load our stuff. Could have used more hand towels. Only had 1 in each bathroom. Upstairs bedroom with 2 beds...both beds were very soft.

Great location!

This property was large, clean, and had a great location for walking everywhere in Watkins Glen. Courtney, property manager, was excellent and available during our 3 night stay. We were 5 siblings and spouses (all over 65 yrs old). Despite all the positives, here are the reasons I gave it an overall rating of 3/5: -scratchy sheets - hard pillows - weak Wifi - not very well stocked (examples: no oven mitts, only 9 forks) - towel bars only in 1 bathroom - no hooks to hang up stuff - no screen doors (weather was nice and would have loved to keep doors open) - chairs around table were really uncomfortable - we put cushions from couch on them - 1 armchair type chair on each floor would have been nice - very scary driveway (but plenty of parking in street) -garbage bins outside- if you filled up one closest to door, then you would have to move the bins to get to the other ones. I’m giving very detailed items to help owners improve rental so all areas will be 5/5.

Girls Trip

This place was perfect for a quick girls trip... Close to hiking and perfect walking distance to everything. House was so spacious and comfortable for seven of us.

Good Enough

Had some frustrations with surprise charges through VRBO and sneaky ways they word things so that on top of extremely high rates for weekends was a bit of a shock before getting there. I was able to communicate with the property manager before coming and she explained - next time book directly through their site and save a few hundred $. Now, the place had a lot of space and rooms which was nice. The furniture and lack of extras or what I thought was basic amenities (comfortable sheets, towels, updated appearance, extra sheets towels blankets etc) was pretty disappointing at that ticket price. The sheets and towels are literally paper thin. Very old outdated furniture, scratches on walls, dirty outdoor areas, super basic bathrooms. It works for big groups who want to drink around town and don’t mind the high price point or comforts of home or even comforts of a basic hotel. We were told by management there are no extra blankets but dropped off an extra paper thin sheet. You get the point. Well stocked dish-ware at least, quiet at night. Walking to the trail nearby was great. The vineyards are close by. Would look elsewhere next time.

Hello Caitlin, I understand your frustration with the VRBO fees, however the fees VRBO charges you had absolutely nothing to do with us, that is what they charge for you to use their site. Our rates are displayed upon booking, no surprise charges from us! One of your group members asked if we would provide different comforters as the ones we provide were to heavy , and we explained the types of blankets that were already in the house, she then asked for an extra set of sheets for the babies, and we had those delivered! I am sorry you were disappointed with the decor and furniture we have in the home, it is exactly as showed in pictures on the listing

Spacious home. Excellent location.

The house is really big. The upstairs mirrors the downstairs. Plenty of space to spread out. All the essentials are covered. If you are a frequent vacation rental property user you know what you need to bring with you. The driveway is VERY steep. I drive a truck so no issue. Another in our party was in a Toyota Sienna and the hitch drug the ground going in and out of the driveway. Very close to the gorge and downtown. Beds were all comfy. There are no tubs. Showers only but the sinks are huge so if you need to bath a small child you can do it in the sink.
