Cutest cottage across from the beach!

Hurricane Michael washed away the original Pickels Paradise on the beach but this beautiful place just down the street survived the category 5 storm and is newly renovated and beautifully updated. It is a 1 bedroom with a queen bed and a set of built in bunk beds, 1 bath. Cozy open living room and kitchen with french doors to private patio and outdoor dining area with beautiful palm trees perfect for a hammock. Just a short walk across Hwy 98 to the dedicated beach! Enjoy the ocean breeze and splashing waves as you watch the sunset. Pets, bonfires and the relaxing beverage of your choice are all allowed on the beach. Bonus outdoor enclosed shower with hot water to wash all the sand from the beach away! Also it is very close and you only need to walk just one block to eat at Shipwreck restaurant! Come make unforgettable memories here!

Port St Joe Gem

Spent the weekdays enjoying the low key, non- commercial area of the pan handle. Beautiful beach, quiet, but not deserted. Good people, great food and a super place to stay. Equipped with all that you would need at the beach.

Loved this cottage. It had everything we needed. My girls even noticed the little personal touches. We had plenty of room for all 4 of us. Loved the outdoor seating and the short walk to the beach. Only thing I would suggest is including pictures of the beach carts and accessories. We had a great week and would highly recommend this cottage. Owner was also quick to respond when I had questions prior to arrival

Beach Getaway

This is our 4th or 5th time staying in this beach cottage. We always bring our dogs with us and love that we are only 200 steps from the beach. Barbara is an awesome host and is quick and responsive. The place is always kept clean and is in a nice quiet neighborhood. We will definitely be returning over the years.

Great little cottage

Wonderful location. Walking distance to Shipwreck Raw bar, just a few steps from the beach. Perfect for a couple or small family.

Brief Birthday Trip

We had a great, relaxing stay at Mrs. Barbara’s place. Everything was as stated and shown in the pictures. Super cute 1 bedroom/1bath unit. We would definitely stay there again.

Relaxing beach vacation

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little cottage. The location is great. Short walk to the beach. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. Barbara is a great host to work with.

Great place to stay

We enjoyed staying here. It had all we needed for a day at the beach with the wagon, chairs and umbrella and a short walk across the street. The beach was never crowded. Just a short drive to restaurants and shops and Panama City Beach less than an hour away.

Not the actual location

Great house but feel misled about the actual location. Was told 2 weeks before arriving the location shown on the map was wrong. It showed as 1st house across from beach with nothing blocking a full ocean view. Actual rental is 1.5 miles away with view blocked by house next door and one across the street. I booked this location to be walking distance to a family wedding. Was disappointed to find out the real location. Reason given from the owner did not make sense.

Month stay Port St Joe

Noise from upstairs disturbing but cannot be helped. Cottage was well decorated very nice. 1bedroom no chest of drawers though. TV in bedroom and living room. Air, Ice maker, washer dryer, dishwasher all work like a charm. Outdoor shower was wonderful to have access to. Walk across to beach not bad at all. Also parking on road is permitted. Love that beach and cottage is pet friendly. Very clean no pet smells at all. VRBO not allowing me to add photos,

Fantastic beach stay!

This property was perfect for our beach weekend getaway with our dogs. Clean, nice space that was very comfortable. Right across from the beach with easy access. Hosts were wonderful and easy to work with. Can’t recommend enough!

Perfect getaway

Perfect size for our needs. Clean, comfortable beds, nicely decorated. Great restaurant 1 block away. Quiet neighborhood. Just across the road from the pristine beach. Hope to visit again sometime

Girls trip fun

Great location, right across the street from the beach. Easy walk with wagon provided for our beach stuff. Be aware of the time difference as Mexico beach is central time and the house is in Eastern time. We had a wonderful girls trip.

Wow! So unexpected!!

Just an adorable home! Very thoughtful in design and laid out perfectly, it’s location to everything St Joe and Mexico Beach is spot on. Our host is very gracious and so very kind! I just can’t describe fully on how great a stay we had. We sure will come back!! Much thanks to Our host and VRBO

Tiny & comfy

This place was great for our needs. Tiny but comfy with great beds, comfy couch & plenty of seating. Great shower & well appointed kitchen. Loved the outdoor area. There was a problem with the check in as the address given by VRBO is not the actual address. This needs to be updated. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

A long time resident of Mexico Beach and Port St. Joe who moved to area in the 1990’s to raise children in this place they call ”Mayberry on the beach “. Many flock to vacation here for this very reason. A lovely small town with the best uncrowned beaches and sunsets and an unhurried lifestyle that lets you slow down enough to really enjoy it!
