Enjoy stunning outdoor deck space at this magical beach getaway!

Stay in our beautiful beach getaway on picturesque Bald Head Island!

The Tree House is located on secluded Middle Island with marsh, beach, & maritime forest views, and close to the BHI Sea Turtle Conservancy.

Our home has gorgeous 4,000 sq. feet of wraparound decks built to accommodate the existing trees, offering sun & shade all day long with lounge chairs, grills, & covered dining area. We hope you enjoy our marsh observation deck off of the back of the property!

The Tree House sleeps 8 people with 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queen) & a loft space (queen), and 3 bathrooms. The main level is an open concept living room, dining room, and galley kitchen with stainless steel appliances (please see photos).

Our home has a unique layout! Please make sure it fits your needs before you book, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions.

The Tree House comes with access to a private entrance to East beach just 100 yards away. We provide two 4 seater golf carts for use during your and 2 kayaks.

For an additional fee, you can purchase a temporary membership at the BHI Country Club. It offers access to the pool, fitness center, golf course, tennis, & dining options. We do not provide access to The Shoals Club.

Bald Head Island is a lovely vacation destination accessed by a short ferry ride from Deep Point Marina in Southport, NC. The Bald Head Island Conservancy hosts organized hikes and nature walks, as well as evening sea turtle excursions. While on the island, visit "Old Baldy" lighthouse & Smith Island Museum, Bald Head Woods Maritime Forest Preserve, and other historical landmarks. Enjoy paddle boarding, kayaking, wake boarding, & other water sports! Delicious food options on the island include Jailhouse Provisions, marina front Jules Salty Grub & Island Pub, Sandpiper Ice Cream & Coffee, & gourmet dining at the Bald Head Island Country Club. PET NOTES: we are dog friendly with a 2 dog limit. There is a nonrefundable $300 pet fee for additional cleaning we do after any stays that include furry friends!

Wonderful! Perfect set up for the whole family and dogs! The owners went above and beyond to accommodate us and varying situations that popped up on our end. I honestly cannot think of anything lacking. Beach supplies great, location great. The set up of the house allows for privacy at any part of the house if you wish. We felt instantly comfortable with the place. Simply great!

House was perfect!

We have a 5 year old and 1.5 year old and we had such a good time. The house was great; very well stocked with everything we needed. The porches are endless and we loved it. I wish the house had a battery blower to clean off the porches but no deal breaker. We had a blast and would definitely go back!

Great location

We loved being by the marsh and on middle island. The owners were very kind and helpful. The porches and outdoor spaces on this house are especially lovely!

Great stay for Thanksgiving!

We had a great stay at the Tree House over Thanksgiving break! Location was great on a quiet part of the island and we loved the private entrance to a secluded part of East Beach! Most times we had the beach all to ourselves! Host was very responsive, we discovered the sink leaking upon arrival and she had someone over to repair the next morning. Also the porch spaces are amazing and beautiful views around the property. Will definitely be back!

Amazing house!

This house is amazing! Loved the location, amenities, and decor. The private access to East Beach was awesome allowing for wonderful days in the beach. Brought our pup and he had a great time as well! Thank you for a stunning vacation and we will be back next year!

Great Home in the Forest

This home has it all! It has an amazing view overlooking the marsh. It is only a few steps away to its own private beach. It is very secluded. The bedrooms are spread out, so everyone had their own space. The living area was large enough for our whole family.

Excellent stay

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tree House. The owners were very kind and accommodating. The porches are amazing with gorgeous marsh views from every one. The home itself is bright and open with more than enough space for our family of four. The location on Middle Island can't be beat with private access to an uncrowded section of our favorite beachfront on the island. Would stay again!

Amazing stay

The house was so warm, welcoming, and spacious. Very friendly and lightning speed communication from ownership. The home is located on the private part of the island which gives you private beach access. 5 stars all around!

Again, a wonderful stay

This is our second time staying at the Treehouse. The house was updated with so many things, new bikes, couch, and other wonderful things. The new golf cart was great as well. We will be back!!

Treehouse Perfection

This is the second time staying at the Treehouse on Bald Head Island. The location is private and peaceful and the house had everything we needed for the week. Bikes, kayaks, carts, beach gear are always in working order. Love it here and hope to return!

What a great house. Love the layout, especially the decks and balconies. We took in a sea turtle nest excavation and were lucky enough to watch approximately 25 hatchlings begin their lives. Awesome. Love this place.

30 year celebration

Although the bedrooms and kitchen are a bit small, the decks and property location more than make up for it. The view of the marsh from the front deck is incredibly relaxing. We were married here 30 years ago this October and all of our children and grandchildren joined us. The house worked out great!

Middle Island Hideaway in the Tree House

This was our fourth trip to Bald Head Island. We have stayed in a different house each time. The Tree House was absolutely charming. In particular, the deck spaces afforded privacy with beautiful surroundings. The private beech access so close to the house was a real plus. Bald Head is a unique and wonderful place!

Loved the house and location

The place was perfect for our family. Many wonderful porches! Very well appointed. My daughter and her boyfriend loved having the downstairs to themselves. The beach entry led us to basically an empty beach. The entire experience was great!

Great family getaway in Baldhead, among the trees

We had a wonderful trip. Myrita was so helpful with getting us oriented, and everything in the house was clean, comfortable, and easy to use. We loved zipping around in the golf carts and on the bikes. East Beach is so lovely, and just a short walk from the house. We got memberships at BHI and did a birding tour with the conservancy, and the kids had surfing lessons. We love BH and would definitely stay at the Treehouse again!

Golden Girls at Treehouse!

Bald Head vacation

Beautiful home. Kitchen well stocked. Upon arrival dead roaches in home and fresh dog feces on porch.Views very much obstructed by trees. Limited comfortable outdoor seating. Will not likely rent again but thank owners for allowing us to stay.

Perfect Location

My family and I had an amazing yet relaxing stay at Myrita’s place. The house is gorgeous; the location is perfect, and the beach is simply awesome. The outdoor shower off the master bedroom is excellent! And we had everything we needed for our stay, which is so convenient considering that you have to take a short passenger ferry ride to the island from the mainland. I’d recommend this house for anyone with teens/preteens.
