You will feel miles away from the real world gazing over fresh white railings that surround large, expansive decks to offer wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean and Back Bay! Step inside to enjoy spacious living areas allow for relaxation and precious family time. Three master bedrooms for multiple families. Direct beach access directly across the street and a beautiful private in-ground pool & hot tub add to your enjoyment. A spacious kitchen and outside barbecue allows your master chef to prepare meals with ease to serve on the brand new outdoor seating area or on any one of the Adirondack chairs.

Visit Virginia Beach boardwalk with just a 20-minute drive from the private Sandbridge area. Whatever your idea of a perfect vacation is, you'll find it at Chillaxin.

During peak season starting mid May - mid September enjoy weekly rentals starting Saturday to Saturday. Any other time, enjoy a 3 night minimum stay depending on the season. We're happy to work with you on check in and check out times to make your vacation perfect! Small fee applies to early check in/late check out when available.

Keyless Entry for all guests - There is no need to pick up or drop off keys! Owner will provide code just prior to check in date. Property management services available 24 hours a day.

Hot tub open year round. Pool is scheduled to open for the 2025 season in early May and is scheduled to close in early October. We can be flexible with these dates, just ask.

Price includes linen rentals for all reservations. Linen rental includes beds to be made, 1 bath towel/washcloth per person, 2 kitchen pot holders, 5 bath mats and 6 hand towels. Final price also includes 15.5% local and state tax. VRBO requires a card on file for damage protection. Please be aware your card may be charged for property damage up to $5,000. Your card will not be charged unless damage has been confirmed by both parties. Above and beyond the mandatory property damage protection/security deposit options, VRBO will offer additional, optional trip insurance to cover your stay in case you need to cancel close to the check in day. We strongly encourage you to purchase this low-cost insurance. Cox preferred high speed internet throughout house and pool area.

Check in is at 4 p.m. and checkout is at 9 am.

You'll can walk, bike or ride in a golf cart around Sandbridge. To get around Virginia Beach metro area, you'll need a car or Uber/Lyft, which are also available.

Max occupancy is 21 at any given time.

Sandbridge Vacation

Had a great time with multigenerational family! Plenty of room throughout the house. Upon entry, the house had not been cleaned. However, after a call to the owner, they sent out the cleaner and she resolved within an hour. Great location, not a lot to do off season, but we had plenty of tv’s, games, etc. I would recommend.

House served its purpose

Great location and close to the beach. Nothing fancy with the house….no extras. Very adequate and clean. Lots of kitchen appliances but no spices or basic cooking staples and terrible coffee selection…not enough toilet paper for a large family and one roll of paper towels…plan to make a trip to the store. The house is well used and it shows but overall the house served its purpose and we had a nice stay.

Great Getaway

The House look exactly like it does on the website. Nicely decorated, fully equipped with lots of dishes, pots, pans, coffee machine, electric gadgets to make your getaway successful. The house was clean. Location was close to the beach. I would stay at this house again.

Great family reunion

The house was a great base for our family reunion. The top deck is so nice for both sun rise and sun set. Beach is right across the street. I loved how many baking items were in the kitchen. (stand mixer, various glass baking dishes) Communicating with Corrine was fast and easy when we had questions.

Wonderful house Great Location

We enjoyed our stay with a family of 11 at Chillaxin for ODU graduation. It's a reasonable distance to the boardwalk. You definitely need a car to get around. The house is fully stocked with kitchen items, games and linens. The bbq, pool and spa were clean and ready to use. The owner was responsive and friendly. I would consider definitely renting again.

This house is so beautiful; we would eat breakfast on the porch every morning and look at the ocean, it was wonderful. The beds were very comfy, the sheets were nice, it was great to not have to worry about bringing shower towels. There were so many kitchen appliances that we were able to use with no problem. I have no complaints at all and would totally rent it again!

Excellent Home, Great Experience w/Owner

My husband and I recently hosted a post-elopement weekend celebration in Sandbridge, putting friends and family up in three houses in the area. Ours (Chillaxin) was one of the nicest, with everything in the house exactly as described/pictured; everyone who stayed with us commented on how nice the accommodations were. Corrine herself was incredibly communicative, reaching out to me when there'd been a booking mixup, and then checking in with a postcard and information packet in advance of our stay and later a handwritten thank-you note. If you're on the fence, I'd definitely recommend you book this property.

Family Beach Vacation

Every year we make the trip to Sandbridge for our family beach vacation and have stayed at different places however Chillaxin was our favorite. The location of the house to the beach is terrific - the public access pathway is directly across the street from the house and the wrap around decks on both levels allowed for beautiful views of the ocean and beach. Pool and hot tub were a plus. The kitchen is fully stocked with great appliances and pots which made it super convenient for making big family dinners. The owner was very friendly and super responsive to our questions and issues. Could use some minor fixes / upgrades after normal wear and tear of renting out the house throughout the summer but otherwise would highly recommend.

Great Location

Location was hard to beat and nice quiet street, comfortable house. The house itself was pretty minimal for a vacation house, no oils/salt/pepper or anything really in the kitchen, but they let us know about in advance. The instructions regarding checkout (it said 9am in some places and 10am in others) were confusing. 9am feels unreasonably early for industry standard especially for a big group. But overall a positive experience and I would recommend it for a beach house with friends or family, especially with kids.

Chillaxin really lived up to its name!!!!

This was a fantastic getaway! House was clean and spacious with no shortage of seating or bathrooms! Beautiful views from all balconies. The pool was lovely - clean with plenty of seating around and the hot tub was perfect. Kitchen was large and very well stocked except for spices (only found salt and pepper). Grill was perfectly placed just outside the kitchen. Plenty of plasticware/koozies for poolside. The only minor thing was that some of the sliding glass doors weren’t easy to open… but easy to get used to. The walk to the beach was IDEAL… right across the street! No need to schlep coolers or such unless you were planning on parking for the day further down the beach. The beach was very wide so you’re not on top of other people and the sand was super soft. Corrine was marvelously responsive and immediately took care of any questions or needs that arose. Would 100% stay at this property again!! Thanks Corrine!!

No Chillaxin

The pool and the beach were beautiful, beach is in walking distance and the pool was very nice! The house had issues with the AC which did not work on the top floor, the temp of the 3rd floor reached 89 degrees at one point. We had 17 family and friends in the house, every room was taken, the couple who were on the 3rd floor had a tough time sleeping during the week. We could not have breakfast, lunch or dinner in the 3rd floor, due to the extreme heat, we either had to eat by the pool or on the 1st floor or we all had to eat out, which was very expensive. I called the realtor, they sent a company out, the air would work for a few hours, at one point the ceiling starting leaking in the kitchen due to the AC pan being over filled with water. I contact the owner by the end of the week, by Friday the air was up and running again. By Friday morning most of our family left, due to the ongoing issues. We also had a issue with the hot tub, we went down on Thursday morning and the hot tub was green and had a fungus around it. Once again called the realtor and they did send someone out to drain the hot tub, this person did not drain it all of the way out, no one wanted to get back in. Whatever the fungus was, we ended up sending 3 of our family members to the ER, due to a rash they all had over their entire bodies, per the Doctor at the ER, they informed us, it was due to the hot tub. With all of this being said, it was NOT a Chillaxin week!

Very spacious house/ but in need of a real cleaning!

When I first arrive at house at 2:30( check in is at 2). I can’t even get in driveway from all the cars. Plus a huge dumpster. The top deck was off and a crew was working in that tossing boards over so had to watch the kids all evening not to go near. House keeping was still working and we couldn’t get in the house. We get into the house around 3. Construction ended around 8. The carpets are black. Was a spilled drink under couch. Sink was black.. ceilings had horrible spots in them. Kitchen table was sticky. I called owner she said I refused a second cleaning which I did not! The baby gate that is listed doesn’t fit any area. Very dirty. I went and bought my own cleaning supplies .... had to clean out the sweeper which was clogged up and to find out the owners was the family that left the day we arrived! Hot tub was full of sand! Beautiful location...house could be very nice with its size but when I go to stay and pay that much. I expect clean. I left my house at home to stay in the same Luxury but that didn’t happen. I rolled up the rug in living room so my 9 month old didnt lay in dirt. It was black. I took plenty of pics of the filth! I rent out houses also and maybe my clean is different but I would never rent out to families knowing how dirty carpet and baseboards everything was. I would be embarrassed. I had asked to bring my therapy dog which is registered and she was going to charge me to shampoo all the carpets. After getting to the house and not Bringing my pet. I realized that I’m sure she did want me to pay for that. They was disgusting. Communication with the owner was good until I had a complaint. Then after that I couldn’t get a response even about how to turn on the light in pool area. Found nails in the driveway after the construction... so we had to be careful. So my opinion is .... nice house location but not clean or taken care of. I left the house cleaner than I received it. All the air vents was leaking water in the floor. The top floor air cond would freeze over after being on for awhile. The cleaning situation may not be the owners problem either but I would def be looking for a better cleaning service.

First Large Family Beach Vacation

LOCATION! LOCATION LOCATION!!!! This was the best house we could have picked in all of Sandbridge. We had 11 adults, (2) 2 1/2 yr olds and a 9 yr old. We all fit comfortably and the house had everything we needed. Kitchen is well stocked with any utensil you can need. Tons of games. Beach access was about 10 steps away- perfect! Pool area and hot tub were clean and comfortable. The new master baths are exquisite. If you are a pillow person, consider bringing your own. There are plenty but they are pretty flat. We rented a golf cart from Right Coast Carts- had a blast driving that around. Baja restaurant is right around the corner - great atsmosphere and food. Sandbridge Island Restaurant at other end of street is a must. Communication with Corine was top notch- she responded immediately anytime i asked her a question. Would absolutely stay here again and definitely recommend.

Great location! House ok

The location of the property was perfect! You walk right out the door and the pathway to the beach was there. The pool was a big plus when you have young kids. Plenty of space in the house! The cleanliness of the house I was disappointed in and the house needs updates. You could tell the cleaning crew was rushing as we couldn’t get in until an hour past check in time. They even made a comment that the owners stayed there and trashed the place. I will say the cleaning crew was very polite and nice and we stayed out of their way while they were finishing after it was already 4pm. Overall I would rate the house a C. I would not stay there again, but will definitely come back to Sandbridge!

Purchased in June 2015, we are a young family from north of Pittsburgh eager to please! After years of vacationing in the Sandbridge area and watching the housing market, we decided to take a leap of faith and purchase our favorite beach rental. We've invested over $100,000 in upgrades since the purchase date, making it a dream vacation home.

Once we arrive at Chillaxin, we rarely leave. Though there are plenty of restaurants and attractions, we spend our days at the beach across the street, in the pool/hot tub, paddleboarding in the back bay or at the kitchen table playing games or feasting on a fresh seafood meal. We hope that you will find the two parts of Chillaxin we like best, chilling out & relaxing! It's our favorite place to be. Those who call me know how passionate I am about the house. You can call me anytime to get a complete detail on every amenity. Since we bought the house we have been there every few weeks so every detail is fresh in our memories.

Chillaxin is a 3 story home with wrap around decks that provide views of the ocean and the bay. The selling point for us were the three master suites, two of which have jetted Jacuzzi tubs. Not to be out done by the hot tub beside the pool. There are two rooms on the second floor with jack and jill style bathroom as well as one on the top deck. Everyone has there own shared or private decks for morning coffee while looking at the beach. Wet bar on the ground level with full bathroom for quick trips from the pool/hot tub to make your favorite drinks!

We, the owners, are very involved. We are willing to do what it takes to ensure you have the vacation of a lifetime. Our goal is to establish a relationship with each renter that continues year after year. Many of the homes in this area listed on this site are managed by a property management company and the owner is never directly contacted. Know that when you are booking with us, you will receive my direct cell phone and have a personal response from the us (the owners) to make your vacation dreams come true.

The house speaks for itself. The views from the front porch are addicting. There is very little traffic on Sandfiddler Road. The kitchen has everything you could ever need including a seafood boil pot right down to a bottle opener we mounted to the wall so you don't need to get out of the hot tub to open your next beverage. A pack and play is also on sight as well as a high chair and a baby gate for no additional charge.

There are many modern conveniences in the house. This is not your average old-style beach house. It is updated & meticulously clean.
