Mattapoisett Home on 7 Acres w/ Private Beach!

Thank you for the feedback. We took the maintenance note seriously and have already fixed the stove burner that was out of place so it functions properly for future guests. We're also opening up additional closets and bureaus in the trophy room and clearing out stored blankets to give guests more storage space. As a farmhouse built in 1802, we know there's always upkeep to stay on top of, and we make improvements every season based on guest input. We're glad the property's seclusion, the 7 acres of land, and the private beach continue to make it a special spot for family and friend gatherings.

Thank you so much for your kind words! We have since addressed the poison ivy along the path so renters should not be exposed if they choose to walk down the path instead of along the road. Julie, the homeowner would like to pass along the following message: "We take every review seriously and strive to provide a pleasant, clean, safe, relaxed, private and quaint vacation home. We checked into your concerns regarding the kitchen sinks and can confirm that they are working well. I also do believe there may be an excess of dishes and glasses and it's sometimes difficult to find what you need. We have reorganized the shelves since your stay to make it easier to find the everyday plates, glasses, and mugs. I still cannot believe that empty beer bottles were found in a bedroom. Our housekeeping service is meticulous and would have discarded beer bottles had they been found. All leftover food and cans have been removed and only a few staples such as salt and pepper and coffee remain on the shelves. I also apologize for the birthday hat. Finally, the wallpaper in the bedroom with the twin beds is indeed starting to rip. This will be on our to-do list to fix for the 2020 rental season! This is our family's home and every year we do improvements before the next rental season. We want every family who stays at our home to have a safe, pleasant and happy vacation.
