Welcome to Castlehaven, our beautiful light-filled haven designed by noted local architect Bob Hartstock. Just a two minute walk from the Scenic Bluff Top Trail and Salal Cove, our house is located in the desirable north end of Sea Ranch. We are only a mile from the charming town of Gualala.

This lovingly and beautifully decorated home includes original artwork by a local artist, a private office, 2 master suite bedrooms, plus a private guest bedroom and 2 1/2 baths. The open living room borders on a dining area that seats 4, a music nook with a baby grand piano, and a fully-equipped kitchen with bar implements and glassware.

Outside in our spacious and private courtyard, you will enjoy outdoor dining, access to a BBQ, and a wonderful, soothing hot tub with a view of the night skies. Wildlife is abundant here. Wake to the sounds of the Ocean, and enjoy seeing birds, deer and fox right outside your window, and from the front patio.

The first master suite has French doors leading to a lovely private garden, and a large, heart-shaped Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. The second master has a gorgeous view of the golf course and the ocean beyond. The third bedroom is a very private haven separate from the main house, across the courtyard from the hot tub. All bedrooms have queen size beds with memory foam mattresses. A washer and dryer are available, including soaps, and fabric softeners.

For our guest's enjoyment, we have a huge selection of books, movies on DVD, CDs, "streaming" TV, DirecTV and board games to while away your time when you are relaxing after being immersed in nature and all the activities of Sea Ranch. Please be aware that the fireplaces are non-functional because of problems with smoke and soot. Besides the Bluff Top Trail, there are three recreation centers with heated swimming pools, saunas, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, 50+ miles of hiking trails, mountain biking trails, beautiful coastal views and hidden waterfalls. All this awaits you here at Castlehaven.

Birding trip. Very comfortable beds. Great bathrooms. Hot tub. Enjoyable kitchen to work in. Has all the basic supplies but not much else. Spectacular view and great outdoor seating. We do a lot of traveling and this was one of the best properties I’ve stayed.

Our nonprofit organization's board of directors stayed in this lovely home for our annual in-person retreat, and the four of us really enjoyed our time there. The home itself has a unique and interesting design and is situated in a very quiet neighborhood. The 3 bedrooms are lovely, with very comfortable beds, and the bathrooms are lovely as well . The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, more than in some homes I have stayed in. Our host was available and responsive, which is always appreciated. Sea Ranch is such a great place, with walking trails along the beautiful ocean and recreation centers with pool, sauna, etc. This home is close to Gualala Point Regional Park and the little town of Gualala -we highly recommend the Vue restaurant. Thanks for a great stay, John!

We really enjoyed our stay at Sea Ranch, with a beautiful view of the ocean and sunset, and a gorgeous home to stay in. The hot tub was delightful, the living room was cozy and comfy for reading, and we loved hiking the trails at Sea Ranch.

House was very clean, updated, well decorated, roomy and organized. Hot tub was hot, kitchen had all needed appliances and supplies and linens and towels were plentiful. Instructions were clear as was communication and we enjoyed our short stay with no problems.

Beautiful super clean home with very comfortable beds and stunning sunset views. The layout also added extra privacy for the bedrooms so great for sharing with family or friends. Also really appreciated an actually stocked kitchen so cooking was easy. Really liked the location close to Gualala and the Del Mar recreation center for the pool and sauna.

The property was exactly as described - wonderful location. We were right on a path that directly to the bluffs overlooking the beach - maybe three or four houses down. We enjoyed watching the golfers - apparently this property is on the "signature hole" of Sea Ranch. We also found the piano to be a pleasant surprise

Great house, very clean and the location is wonderful. You are right on the Golf Course, great views of the ocean. Very close to the trails that wind all through Sea Ranch. And there’s even a piano, which was in tune. Good selection of games and puzzles. Close to Gualala, a cute artsy town. Very organized and easy to read instructions and directions. Glad I had chosen this house, even though we didn’t need 3 berms.

We stayed for two nights while visiting Sea Ranch and played a round of golf at the Sea Ranch Links course - beautiful and well designed course. The property was perfect for two couples, with two master suites and an additional half bath in the hallway. We especially enjoyed taking walks along the bluff and appreciated the peaceful surroundings. The only downside was the Wi-Fi. It worked in the kitchen and living room, but unfortunately did not work in the bedrooms. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this property for a relaxing getaway.

Our host was very responsive and helpful, and check in and out was a very straightforward. The house is located in a great spot (close the bluff trail for an easy walk to cliffs to watch the sunsets and hiking) on the north side of Sea Ranch - and a short drive to the Lodge and even closer to Gualala, and only one hour to Mendocino on Highway 1. The house and all the amenities were in working order and we very much enjoyed our stay!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Sea Ranch, spending our time hiking the nearby trails and playing golf on the recently re-opened course. Ocean views, beautiful weather and a clean and comfortable home with plenty of room to spread out, made our stay very relaxing. We were conveniently located to both Gualala and the Sea Ranch Lodge. Our host, John, was quick to respond to any questions we had.

Our first trip to Sea Ranch was 25 years ago. We had a wonderful experience, and kept coming back at least annually in future years. We finally realized that it was time to purchase in this beautiful community, where the neighbors are drawn together by their shared vision of "living lightly on the land."

There were a number of Sea Ranch properties available when we were looking throughout the years, but we were drawn to Castlehaven because of its soaring ceilings in every room, its graceful curves, and the sound of the ocean from its french doors that open to the front patio. After we purchased Castlehaven, we were fortunate to be able to work with the original architect to make some necessary updates and changes.
