Relax and enjoy the ocean from this 1200 sq. ft., 3-bedroom cottage one block from the ocean. This is the beach the way it used to be just the sound of the ocean; there is no noise from any highway or traffic. One minute walk to the beach.
House has an Ocean view master bedroom with a half bath upstairs, and an ocean view main floor bedroom and full bath. Quiet back room with futon and fold out sofa in ocean view living room.
Wi-fi, antenna TV, Netflix, Hulu.
Barbecue, dishwasher, wood stove and wall heaters. Crabbing and clamming equipment for bay. The beach house is a 1/2 block to the beach. Off street parking for two cars. Many of the views are ocean front.

Great Beach Location

The house was very clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The house is located in a quiet neighborhood and a very short walk to the beach. The ocean views from the house were spectacular!

Close to the beach

What an amazing stay. Listening to the waves and the peaceful location was what I wanted. The upstairs bedroom and living room has a full ocean view. It was so relaxing, I didn’t want to leave.

Peaceful Location with Nice Views

The house is set back but still has a great view, especially from the upstairs suite. And access to the beach (which goes for miles to the north end of the spit) is half a block away. Everything was clean and in good condition. It is nice to be able to prepare meals and look out the window and see the ocean waves. Our grown family: daughter, son and daughter-in-law, my husband, and myself fit nicely in this unit. The back room for our daughter was nice and cozy, although no view from there. The upstairs suite is very nice and the views are great. The downstairs bedroom was more than adequate for our son and his wife and conveniently located to the bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, dishes, spices, etc. There was a nice selection of puzzles--we chose one of the hardest, but were able to complete it. TV streaming selections were good. There were even some good DVDs there for our use. As our family grows, this place likely won't be big enough, but for this current group it was perfect. This area is far away from shopping and restaurants....about a 20 min drive into Tillamook along a winding road, but it was perfect for us. The town of Cape Meares may not have amenities, but it has some really nice people living in it. There are trails off of several several streets that lead up to the cape. This was just a peaceful place which we thoroughly enjoyed.

I would come back for sure!

We had a great week! The house is a charming beach house with great views and unbeatable location. The only down side was the bedding and linens were not very fresh. We washed everything the first day of our stay. The extras in the garage was awesome. We would come back again!

Great base for beach fun

Our family with older kids stayed here. The surf cabin has everything you need for the beach-no need to bring stuff. There are so many beaches, hikes, tide pools, little restaurants and shops to explore around this area BUT not close enough to be busy. You drive to people which is part of the reason we love it here. We cooked/ grilled every day.

Unbeatable location

We aren’t first timers to Lucy’s place nor will this be our last. As always we had a blast and the only downside is having to leave when our vacation ends. The house had everything we needed and the location simply can’t be beat! Bonus, cape meares neighborhood 4th of July parade and music after. What fun!

Relaxing Getaway

Wonderful, quiet location to getaway for a couple of days. We enjoyed walks on the beach in between comfortable times reading and playing games at the beach house. We would happily come back.

We had a great time at the house. House close to the beach. Our bed was super comfortable. We had emailed Lucy on if a hot tub was on site. She never got back to us on that. No hot tub. We decide to go with the house. The weather was wonderful. Sunny but cold no breeze.

Couples Retreat

Surf Cottage is a great place to stay. The house and the proximity to the beach is why we keep coming back. This is our third stay at Cape Meares and it did not disappoint. We had sunny warm weather one day and cold rainy weather the rest of our time…and the wood stove was perfect to warm up and dry out. The home is clean and cozy and we hope to return again!

Great Home

The house was lovely and clean upon our arrival. Check in/out was a breeze. The directions given to us with our check in information was helpful in finding the house. It’s not directly on the beach but the walk to the beach is a quick trip on foot. We loved listening to the ocean waves or watching it from the windows. One day we even saw a whale while looking out the living room window. This property had a lot of useful items we could use (very generous of them) to play in the area of Cape Meares. We had a lovely time and hope to come back again.

Unbeatable Location

This was our second time staying in Cape Meares and our first time at this house. The location of this place simply can not be beat. 1 minute walk to the most beautiful beach on the Oregon Coast. House was perfect and had evereything we needed including a well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and lots of space for the kids to claim a little corner. We also loved the bikes that were available for use for biking down to the Bayocean Penninsula. We can wait to stay here again.

Relaxing getaway

Perfect location to nice quiet beach. Stay was perfect plus’s dog friendly! Only complaint is need a new guest book to sign in. ( other was full. lol ) we will stay again!

This beach cottage has everything you need for the prefect Oregon Coast vacation. The sound of the ocean from this location. Clam guns & shovels, crab pots, fishing poles, two bikes. Enjoy board games, puzzles and a nice wood stove if the weather does not cooperate. You can still enjoy the ocean view while keeping warm by the wood stove. Netflix, dvds, Movies or create a gourmet meal in the well equipped kitchen.

Cape Meares is a beautiful unique place for enjoying nature. Hike the many trails, bike on Tillamook Bay's South Jetty or just relax on the beach or on the deck. Cape Meares Lake offers fresh water fishing and kayaking or canoeing. Tillamook bay and Netarts bay are close by for Salmon Fishing and Crabbing. Enjoy Cape Meares Lighthouse and the famous Octopus tree or head north to the Tillamook Cheese Factory.
