Westwind #502 is an interior gulf-front 1 bedroom 1 bath custom decorated condominium located on the 5th floor overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The unit is approximately 700 sq ft with views of the gulf from the living room. The condo has hallway bunks and a fully equipped kitchen with all Frigidaire Gallery Stainless Steel appliances and Samsung front-load washer and dryer. There is one full bath with a tub/shower combo. The master bedroom is located on the north side of the condo. King, hall bunks, sofa sleeper. Sleeps 6

*New sofa sleeper and 2 swivel chairs September 28, 2025.

Westwind is a 9-story building with 4 units per floor located 1 mile West of Highway 59 in Gulf Shores. Westwind has an outdoor pool and grilling area. Westwind has an outdoor pool and grilling area. The building has new exterior paint colors and new windows and sliding glass doors.

STAY AND PLAY
This rental comes with our 'Stay and Play Package', which includes complimentary tickets to the best area activities including golfing, deep sea fishing, dolphin/nature cruise, amusement park, zoo, and movie rentals. Each rental comes with our "Stay and Play package." Some restrictions apply.

*The 'Stay and Play Package' begins on the scheduled date of arrival and is not available on the day of departure. Services are non-cumulative and non-transferable. All services are subject to change, subject to availability, and weather permissible. The 'Stay and Play Package' does not apply to monthly rentals.

The listing was what we expected based on pictures. Having an actual key was an adjustment because of the heat it got stuck a few times. Also would have liked to know about the bedroom being near the elevator, we could hear people coming and going all night and the traffic of the strip.

cons: unexpected later check in than anticipated, issues with the door and difficulty with contact as it was a weekend. TV apps are slow in the loungepros: everything else. once the weekday rolled around, they were very communicative and responded quickly to get everything resolved. the property has some wear and tear, but is such cute beach decor. the balcony alone is WELL worth the price, but the parking inclusion, pool, and gated beach access really sent this over the edge. appliances are newer and easy to use (fridge has water and ice which is HUGE plus), AC works great, there’s an elevator for higher floors, the water pressure is good, and the bed was so so comfy and cozy.

It was a wonderful place to stay! Right on the beach, with very easy access to restaurants, bars!

Good Trip

Good trip for a vacation with our family of three. Our daughter liked the bunk beds, the pool, and looking for ghost crabs at night on rhe beach. We liked the condo and Gulf Shores Rental did a wonderful job with everything from the listing to the booking to check-in and even checkout was easy. We would stay again.

-2/10I rarely leave negative reviews, especially for vacations, because I believe trips are meant for relaxing and making memories. However, this experience was disappointing enough that I felt it was important to share. The problems started at check-in. We paid for a 12:00 p.m. early check-in, but when we arrived around 1:20, our packet wasn't available. After being told arrival packets weren't put out until 3:00 p.m., I had to explain that we had paid for early access before finally receiving it. Once we reached the condo, the exterior gave a poor first impression. After unpacking and returning from dinner, our key wouldn't work, and later the door wouldn't lock at all. Management blamed the coastal conditions, but only sent maintenance after we insisted it needed immediate attention. Although the lock was replaced that night, the door continued sticking throughout our stay.We also reported that the TV constantly rebooted and wouldn't play the children's channels our family wanted. Maintenance dismissed the issue, suggested we call the provider ourselves, and left abruptly after we questioned why we should spend our vacation troubleshooting their equipment. The problem was never resolved.Other issues included poor bathroom lighting, a hallway light fixture dripping water, and an overall lack of urgency in addressing concerns. While the condo itself was adequate, the repeated maintenance problems, customer service, and unresolved issues made the stay far more stressful.

Rest and Relaxation

The property looked as described. I loved the view of the beach and the water. The bathroom needed some TLC… hair from previous stay was clogged up in the tub. The tub also needed to be cleaned… and the quality of the paper products weren’t good.
