Less than 10 minutes from the world famous "Tail of the Dragon.” 12 miles south of Maryville, TN. Less than 1/2 mile from the Smoky Mountain National Park western boundary and 1 mile to Smoky Mountain Park's Abrams Creek trail head. Located just below Look Rock off the Foothills Parkway. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg less than 50 minutes away thru some of East Tennessee's most beautiful mountains. Newly remodeled cabin with 2 loft bedrooms, 1 bath, kitchen. Surrounded by 5 acres of forested land for adventurous hikers. Deer and wild turkey can be seen on the property and an occasional black bear. Garage parking for motorcycles. Grocery and beverage shopping service available. Wi-fi, smart TV, and softened, bacteria-free, treated water. King bed in private bedroom. Queen and twin bed in 2nd loft bedroom.

Amenities: New refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, gas cooktop range, large toaster oven, toaster, waffle irons, coffee pot, coffee replenishment daily, linens and towels provided, all dishes, silverware, pots and pans, cooking utensils, and dishwashing detergents. Little cottage on Cooper Road

What a fantastic visit we had! Close to Maryville Tennessee. The cabin appears small, but has a nice upstairs loft that host the sleeping areas One fill bath on the main floor, living room and kitchen with an attached garage that has a range washer and dryer. The host Mr. Mike was amazing and accommodating. We enjoyed getting to know him and more about the area and property. Thanks Mr. Mike! You and your cabin was just what we needed!

Peaceful and cozy

We stayed in the area due to the incredible scenery and excellent roads for riding. This cottage is perfectly situated for that. Full kitchen and loads of amenities we barely needed to buy anything to settle in. Beds are very comfy, all the comforts of home. The host is so nice and loves to see you happy. It was a great trip!

Perfect stay for us

Does have open Floorplan, but for a dad and teenage son this was perfect. Felt like staying with family and the location was perfect for us. Peaceful and relaxing. Mike was amazing

Perfect location, perfect host

We were not interested in the commercialized version of the Smokies. Although Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were easily accessible from this property our main goal was the National Park and to drive a portion of the Dragon’s Tail. This west side location was perfect. Mike was the most attentive host and anticipated our every need. He was available to answer our questions at any time. The cabin was spotless and well appointed down to breakfast items to help get us on our way in the mornings. Highlights were seeing a bear walk through the yard, the view from Look Rock Tower (suggested by Mike) and the Grotto Falls hike.

Just fantastic

As in the title, just fantastic. Property owner was more than helpful for anything we needed. The property is absolutely wonderful, very peaceful, immaculately clean, everything we could have asked for and so much more than we expected. If you forgot something it's probably there, not to mention the property owner provided a pound of bacon, loaf of bread, a gallon of milk, a dozen and a half eggs, cereal, oatmeal, and so much more. I was attracted by the garage, as the wife and I were on a motorcycle. Garage is easily big enough for two touring motorcycles. I really can't say enough nice things about this property right down to the water. We stayed for 7 nights and made ice cubes (old school in trays) just because it was easier than trying to bring ice back on a bike and that's the clearest cleanest ice ice ever had. There is a dollar general 15 min away and a Walmart or a Kroger within 30 min, for any supplies you might need. About an hour from Pigeon Forge, or Gatlinburg. We had intended to do a lot more riding while we were there but mother nature didn't cooperate. We still had a fantastic vacation, thanks to this wonder cabin and Mike the owner. Would highly recommend staying here if you're a motorcycle rider checking out all the great mount road that are right on hand or taking a little drive to other tourist destinations in the area. 5 stars all the way, could not have asked for anything better and very reasonable as far as pricing. Will definitely stay here again.

Wonderful and relaxing

My family loved our stay just outside the Smokie Mountains. We spent three nights there, and it was great. The beds were comfortable, the place was clean, and there was bacon and eggs in the fridge when we got there. Mike was super attentive to our needs and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. We were on the southwestern side of the park, and there were some trails just down the street. We were super close to the Dragons Tail and took that road on the way out at the end of the stay. 5 stars!

Great mountain cabin with a perfect host

The cabin was extremely clean and well organized and we were so comfortable there. My teenaged boys absolutely loved it, though were a bit sad that we didn't actually see the bear that was wandering around. Mike is the best host that I could imagine. He put up signs to direct us to the house, had breakfast food, and was just extremely helpful. Overall, it was a wonderful place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Mountain mother in law suite

Gps brought us right to the door. Mike met us out there as you are on his property. Super comfortable and 30 min from anything. No noisy neighbors. Super quiet. 10/10 would recommend. Motorcycle trips or family vacation.

Perfect Getaway in the Smoky Mountains

Cute little cabin surrounded by trees, hidden from the sounds of the city. It was perfect. Had everything we needed and Mike was the best host! Cant wait to come back! 10 out of 10

Put it on your bucket list - and make sure you cross it out!

This was the unexpected trip to Smoky Mountains to a location that I have never been to before. Overall: perfection. A quiet place in the mountains, no one around, no sounds except for nature, and even though the owners house is next door, I have seen him maybe twice in the passing. Organization: impeccable. Everything is clearly labeled, easy to find your way around the property, and the owner is available for any questions and concerns. There is food in the fridge and pantry to get you started: the owner really thought things through. If you want to escape the concrete jungle for a few days but are not a "happy camper," this is THE place to go. If/when opportunity presents itself, we will definitely come back.

Great Stay!

We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed Mike's hospitality. To say that the property is completely furnished and stocked is an understatement. When we come back this way, we will definitely plan to stop by again. This is our new first choice.

Fall get away.

Great cabin that is just as advertised, clean and well maintained. The host was friendly and willing to help with anything needed. Extra touches like stocking the refrigerator with breakfast foods and marking the short road to the cabin with our name was appreciated. Hope to visit again some time.

Foothills Stay

We really enjoyed the location and the host. We went to Cades Cove from this cabin on two different days. It takes about 1 hour to drive there, but the drive is gorgeous! Host provided all the essentials we needed for a 3 day stay. We did go out to eat for dinner each night.

Such a wonderful stay.

We stayed here for four nights to see the area and enjoy nature. We had an amazing visit. Mike is so friendly and attentive. The cabin was clean and comfortable and well stocked. We will love to come visit again.

Great little cabin for a getaway

This property is located very close to the tail of the dragon. It’s like 30 min to downtown Maryville and 30 min to the tail. Mike the host is simply awesome. Great communication and always there to help and very personable. There is even eggs and bacon and cereal for breakfast and milk and coffee. The pantry is well stocked and there is even an griddle and outdoor grill. The house is clean and spacious. If you are looking to enjoy the fall colors or drive the tail of the dragon and looking for a place to stay, this is the perfect place to go. Bear in mind the last 150-200 ft is gravel and there is a garage that can hold a small sedan or motorcycles. Overall aaa

Our cabin has been host to numerous family members and friends over the last 13 years. We are semi-retired, and decided last year to get the cabin ready for "paying" guests!! I am a retired RN, and Mike is a well water treatment specialist for AquaClear Water Systems. Originally from Memphis, we decided to come to a calmer, slower part of Tennessee in 2000. We took a deep breath, and moved to the mountains! We rented a house in the woods for a few years, to see if I could stand the "bugs & the critters & the snakes". I managed quite well, so we began to look for a property in the mountains. When we found this home, the guest house was a bonus! Now we have decided to let others enjoy the calm, laid back charm of the Great Smoky Mountains.. The mountain valley where we live is very diversified. You will find million dollar homes, and mobile homes, but everyone is friendly, and I have never felt safer anywhere i have ever lived. So come visit Mike and I next time you want a truly idyllic vacation.
