Wailea Ekahi Village - Spacious one bedroom, two bath condo with a enchanting garden view located in the Upper Village. New carpet throughout the unit. Master bedroom boast a King size bed. Plus there is a bonus sofa sleeper in living room. Full size washer/dryer, air conditioning in living and bedroom, and complimentary Wifi. Kitchen is fully equipped with a microwave, convection oven (that cooks faster and evenly.. excellent benefit on vacation). There are four pools on the property with the oceanfront pool which opens up to one of the top beaches in the world; "Keawakapu". Here you will enjoy a lovely 0.7 mile stroll along the ocean! BBQ's are located throughout the property.

We love this area and have stayed at Ekahi Village several times in other condos. The grounds, amenities and proximity to the beach, shops and restaurants is excellent. The condo was comfortable and met our needs. It’s not an updated unit

A good unit at a decent price

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Two of us stayed for 12 days. Overall very good experience. Unit is older but the kitchen is well-stocked. Bathrooms are both decent; better shower in the main than the ensuite, and both toilets are mediocre & should be replaced. Mattress on the pullout couch is inadequate; consider grabbing a topper if you’re there awhile. Ekahi is the best place to stay in Wailea, the location in the complex is ideal, and for the money you could do much worse.

A deep clean is desperately needed

We love the Ekahi Village condos, and understand that they have individual management companies. One can just ignore the cleanliness of the unit because of being on vacation, which is what we did. But it's very difficult to not notice the rings around the toilets, the louvers in the bedroom where a hamper is located is just downright disgusting. It seems like it has not been cleaned in years. Same goes with the closet. We would probably come back to this unit,only if it's been cleaned. Oh yeah, we saw a dead roach by the bedroom lanai ..inside. I can go on and on about the cleanliness of the unit. The vertical blinds need to be replaced too...there are some blinds that are missing...no privacy. I hope the management company take this seriously since previous reviews have stated pretty much the same thing. One more thing, the kitchen sponge they left us was used previously...how many times, who knows?

Sad situation in paradise

To start, the provided door code was inaccurate and it took over 1 hour to contact the Kumulani Vacations representative and receive the correct door code. Once in the unit, most of the supplies promised (toilet paper, paper towels, dish scrubber, tissue, laundry soap) were not present. Nathan, the Kumulani Vacations representative brought the supplies over later in the evening. The supplied WiFi network information was incorrect and Nathan assisted us to access the Wifi network. The Wifi information for the pavillion network that was supplied was also incorrect. Spider webs and dust was abundant. The toilets had dirt rings at the water level that we cleaned away. The dryer lint screen was full of lint and sand. The dryer was also very noisy when running. The whole unit smelled musty. The unit could definitely use a thorough cleaning and updating.

Comfortable stay

This unit is in a nice location in the Ekahi Village complex - quiet, with lovely sunset views just outside the door. It is farther from the pool/gazebo are than we would have liked, but a one-minute walk to one of the quiet pools on the other hand. The unit was as pictured, the listing was accurate. Cleaning was adequate, but the unit could use a deep clean (inside cupboards, baseboards, blinds....that sort of thing). The bed and the sofa bed were both comfortable. A/C worked well but wasn't needed much because of the nice cross-breezes. Kitchen was well equipped generally, but some of the cookware is so warped on the bottom that it is difficult to use. I was surprised that dishwasher detergent was not supplied. Five beach chairs, an umbrella, and two boogie boards were supplied. One slight nuisance was that the sliding door to the lanai off the bedroom does not work properly - it doesn't seem to fit in the frame and doesn't open or close easily. As a result we didn't use that lanai space, but the other lanai was nice, so it wasn't a big loss. An issue with the complex, not the unit, is that the beach is gone. In past years we have enjoyed being able to hang out at the lovely pool/gazebo area and dip into the ocean whenever we wanted, but now the the water comes right up to the steps and there is no beach, just rocks.

Pleasant stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The Ekahi development is a beautiful property and one of the few on Maui that has plenty of green space. The grounds are maticulously maintained and have a variety of plants, shrubs and trees, making it very relaxing. This unit is a short hike to a beautiful beach and has a variety of beach chairs. It is modestly appointed although adequate for vacation needs, but could use a fresh coat of paint. For those who want to prepare meals, the kitchen is lacking in some basic utensils, a complete set of dishes and small pots. We enjoyed our stay here and would rent this unit again.

A pleasant stay at Ekahi Village

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I had a very enjoyable stay at this unit in Ekahi Village. The only negative we experienced was that the nearby BBQ grills are not available for use anymore for lunch grilling.... they are now locked up until 3pm and then are closed down at 8pm. If you want to grill at other times, you must take your food and ingredients down to the main pavilion.

Beautiful Condo is Wailea

Reviewer Comments: This is our 2nd year in row to travel from California and this is a nice complex on the beach and short walk over the next to the larger resorts and 5 minute drive to Wailea Shopping Center. It has 3 pools and the main pool overlooking the ocean. The Condo is a great size, clean and steps away from the parking. The walk over to the main pool was a bit long, but worth the short walk! We will continue to book here on our next MAUI trip! Check in was quick and easy :) Wendi at Kumulani was amazing!

Wonderful Visit

This was our fourth visit to Wailea Ekahi, and we loved our stay in Unit 48C. We love waking up to the various birds and flower scents, enjoying our coffee and tea on the lanai, walking to to the beach and pool, and being centrally-located to the places we love. Thanks for an excellent visit, and we can’t wait to go back!

Great Stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Good location in Wailea not far from the beaches, restaurants, shopping and golf. Plenty of parking. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our time and Wendi made that easy to do. The fully equipped condo comes with swim equipment, beach chairs and umbrella. The air conditioning works well on hot days , though we rarely used it in February due to the perfect climate.

Great Location

This condo is in a great location and is spacious for a one bedroom. The rental company was very helpful and responsive. In some areas the unit shows it's age and and could use a little TLC.

Dirty condo

The condo was grossly unacceptable! Dishes, utensils, cups, drinking glasses, kitchen, stove top and microwave had encrusted food on them. Bathroom had hair on floor and in shower and toilet was filthy. Save yourself the frustration!
