DESCRIPTION
Welcome to La Jolla Mar – the perfect La Jolla beach retreat you can call your own. This San Diego vacation rental townhome located near the Village of La Jolla features 2 living areas that will appeal to families or larger groups who like their own living space.

There’s a formal living room adjacent to the dining room with seating for up to 8 people. Next to the dining room is a spacious kitchen with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances including a double oven, full-range stove top, side-by-side refrigerator, and dishwasher. The kitchen also features a center island with a dining counter and a breakfast table with chairs and bench seating for up to 6 people.

Open to the kitchen is the family room with a couch that converts into a queen sofa sleeper for extra accommodations. On the opposite wall is a fireplace between built-in bookshelves, and an entertainment center. This room is bright and airy and features glass-paned French doors that lead to a lovely patio. The patio offers a private outdoor space perfect for relaxing with chaise lounges, an outdoor dining table, and a built-in stainless steel gas BBQ grill.

Upstairs are the 3 bedrooms and the rooftop deck. The Primary bedroom features a spacious king bed, recessed lighting, and a large window with views of the neighborhood. Across from the bed is a cozy fireplace and a TV. The en suite bathroom features a dual sink vanity, a walk-in stone tiled shower, and an oversized jetted bathtub.

The 2nd and 3rd bedrooms are furnished with queen beds with reading lights, spacious closets, and large bay windows with shutters. The second bathroom is conveniently located near both bedrooms and features a stone-tiled dual sink vanity and a large tub/shower combo.

Towards the west end of the home, you’ll find a spiral staircase that leads to the ocean-view rooftop deck with 2 comfy chaise lounges perfect for private sunbathing.

From this comfortable La Jolla townhome, everything is within walking distance. There are plenty of restaurants, caf‌és, and grocery stores just around the corner. It’s just a 3-block walk to Marine Street Beach, 5 blocks to the La Jolla Community Park, and a few more to the famous Village of La Jolla with its world-class dining and shopping. It doesn’t get much better!

Family spring break

This place was a total find. Great location - walking distance to the beach and to the town. The place was roomy, super quiet and the kitchen was awesome and fully stocked with everything needed to cook any meal. All in all a very pleasant stay and would definitely book again.

nice place, but property mgt issues

The back door had no key access to the house but the garage was in the back. Guests are expected to walk on slippery uneven stepping stones innthe dirt path in the garden. very unsafe walking. the baths need grab bars. the carpets need replacing but house is clean.the neighbor's garage is being demolished so it was noisy. the neighborhood is nice.

Very Comfortable, Superior Location

Great three bedrooms, three bathrooms with plenty of amenities. Nice and spacious backyard. Superior location with a short walk to a wide variety of restaurants. Easy walk to the coast and pupping seals in the Spring that are fun to watch from a distance. Would easily book again.

My family and I travelled to La Jolla for Thanksgiving and a wedding and this property was perfect for both purposes. It's lovely and large with plenty of room for the six of us. The location is terrific as it is within an easy walk of the village and tons of shops and restaurants.

Great Vacation

We had a great stay at this house. The location was perfect for walking around La Jolla with lots of places to eat and things to do. The house was clean and nicely updated. The owners checked in with us everyday. We would definitely stay here again!

Great House Great Location

We stayed at this a few days to visit beloved friends and family while doing some work. This is great place in an excellent location close to Pearl Street in La Jolla and close to the beach. Although we stayed here in winter, the beach is always nice. Many nice restaurants on Pearl, but please stay away from the over hyped over crowded the taco stand, just go to Don Carlos instead for the real thing.

Second visit

This VRBO is perfect for a family gathering. We were able to celebrate my mother’s 102 birthday comfortably, wheeling her up from White Sands retirement community. We love the location and layout of this wonderful home. The beach is nearby for the kids and everything in LaJolla is walkable from this home. Thank you for another great stay. Wonderful property!

This is a beautiful spacious townhouse with lots of charm and comfort. The bedrooms are all upstairs and the sofa sleeper is in a separate living room downstairs that can be used as a 4th bedroom if desired. The patio is lovely and private. It is located on a residential street but it is only a 1/4 of a block away from a main village street with lots of places to eat and shop. The beach is a few blocks away. There is a convenient 2 car garage as well as street parking. The management company is very helpful. Great place. Would love to come back!!

Fantastic Home for Family Gathering

There were five of us staying at this terrific home to celebrate an early Christmas with my son who lives down the street. Each and every member of our group remarked a number of times how great the house was. Perfect set up, plenty of dishes, cookware, space, towels - really everything. The management company was wonderfully communicative - and we needed nothing. I saw someone had commented on the exterior noise - and truly we had no issues with that whatsoever. Money well-spent to stay at this property! Thank you!

The older ladies

There were plenty of places for everyone to sleep. We were close enough to sightseeing spots so driving was not a problem. The 2 car garage was a real plus, as it accommodated a large GMC and a mid sizeToyota. Having really good spots to eat really made it for us, especially since we could walk to them. We brought in the food at night, older ladies don’t like to drive at night, so lounging around the dinner table after a wonderful meal was a real plus. The only drawback? Two stories,but in the scheme of things that was minor. We managed the stairs with no problem. The idea of the third floor deck was appealing, but too hard for us and as it turned out we never saw the sun. Such is life.

Not everything I wanted

I (or a relative) have used VRBO at least once or twice a year for the past decade or so. We have always been more than happy with our rentals as they are usually under sold. This is the first time we rented from a corporation instead of a private individual and it showed. There was no welcome gift - not even a bottle of water. There was a book of instructions, again not very welcoming. We even had to buy salt and pepper as the fridge and cabinets were completely empty, oh there was just enough coffee to make one pot. Very limited dishes and cooking utensils. One dish rag and dish towel. One face, hand and bath towel per guest. The book said we could as for more of everything but the point of renting from VRBO instead of staying at a hotel is for the feel of home, not hotel. The house itself was nice. Again not a welcoming place as everything was very sterile. It was also not private and in a quiet area as touted. It was one house off the main street. You accessed the garage going through an alley between two restaurants that were open late. Lots of foot and delivery truck traffic in the alley. Bottom line was I was looking for something more removed and quiet - I should have asked more questions when I booked as you aren't given the actual address until after reserving. I will book through VRBO again - just with an individual, not a corporation.

Family summer trip

This place was amazing! It was extremely clean. The location could not have been better. It was very roomy, had comfortable beds, had a stocked kitchen, beach chairs, fans, bikes, garage parking and the rooftop area was wonderful to look at the ocean and town and visit. We watched a baby seagull and family on the next door rooftop which was entertaining. The best seafood market was 1/2 block away so we cooked fresh local fish every night. The wine and liquor store was 2 blocks away. The garage was barely big enough to get our Lincoln Navigator in but it did fit at an angle. There was only salt and pepper in the kitchen so bring your own if you plan to cook. The outside grill and patio was very nice and roomy and private. The managers were very friendly and helpful and stayed in touch. We really loved this place and hated to leave.
