It's really old but it was perfect.

The spa was a lil temperamental, only got to use it the first night there and the second night it wasn't heating up. But overall we had a good time, there is a lot of stairs and our legs are very sore lol

We could have sent out a technician, and he could have tried to fix the issue. We are very glad that you were able to enjoy your stay although you were a bit sore from all the stairs. Save your time and choose one of the other cabins that might be more accurate and cared for. Stayed 22-24Nov25. Not an accurate listing and clearly has been left unattended for quite some time. Several broken things around the cabin, as in entertainment center under tv, bathroom fixtures, sink faucets, bathroom sink drawers filled with water and extremely moldy, and screen doors. Master bedroom is downstairs and there is no heat, room was 30 degrees, gas heater would not work, technician came out 2nd day and agreed it was broken and wouldn’t be fixed during our stay, gave us a small desk sized space heater.Bathroom sink would spray water everywhere if turned on. We booked this cabin partly due to the pool table. Lots of cabins for rent and a pool table or fuzball table is sometimes the little extra that, but it seems that was not only a listed item to trick people into renting the cabin. There wasn’t even room for a pool table in the house. Several railings around the deck seem as if they are ready to fall apart. Hate leaving negative reviews but after paying this much and it seems that everything you touch or look at is falling apart, broken, or nonexistent. It’s pretty annoying. The host was not responsive when contacting for issues. Someone showed up the 2nd night to look at the heat, but had no idea there was a water leaks despite it being communicated to the host.

Dated but a beautiful view

The property is dated and needs new pots and pans for the kitchen. The railing around the deck also needs securing. The house is a fun family place. Lots of room to hang out together. Easy parking and lake access. The dining area is perfect for morning gathering. The views are amazing.

We were never informed about the railing not feeling secured enough for your guest. We have noted this and let our maintenance department know. Also, always keep in mind that you can contact us during your stay. We want our guest to have the best possible vacation, however, we need to be fully informed if something doesn't feel right for your party. We are happy to hear that you had a fun time at Tippie Canoe with your family, and that it was spacious enough. Also, that the park and lake access was beneficial, along with the amazing views this property has to offer. Great view but super old house.

The view are gorgeous and absolutely amazing. The cabin itself are old but I’ve rent some old cabins before and they were in better shape than this one. It’s probably never been renovated but this is not the issue either. The problem are that it’s dirty. All couches are dirty and in stains. Bedding are old and mattress upstairs are so firm it feels like there is no mattress on the bed at all. Cookware are old scratched Teflon that is dangerous to use. It has two new stainless still ovens but no oven trays. The gas grill outside is old tho and not working well either. It take very long time to bbq meet on it. Sauna and jacuzzi are great and look upgraded but no extra tovels and those that provided are very small and old too. Some lightbulbs are not working too. Anyway, we rent this cabin because of the view. We got what we want but the price they charge per night are not corresponding to what is in the house.
